Where is my t6 Bird of Prey

starbuck40kstarbuck40k Member Posts: 9 Arc User
I am sure its been mentioned before, but I want my T6 Bird of Prey. I do not want the pilot raptors, which I own. I want a Bird of Prey, or many Birds of Prey.

Lets make sure Cryptic gets the hint and releases a T6 Bop. Type Agree if you are with me.

It's expected to arrive sometime with the Season 11 launch that has been announced for September. The T6 B'rel Bird of Prey has been leaked together with a T6 Romulan T'Varo and a T6 Defiant in what it seems to be another T6 cross-faction 3-pack. We expected it earlier, but considering they announced Season 11 to be a DS9 inspired/oriented season - the T6 Defiant is a given to be released then and with her the T6 Bird of Prey as well.
Do note that this is all highly speculational, but I consider it a safe bet myself.

I know where my T6 Bird of Prey is. Currently in 2500 zen format awaiting purchase. I'll only be buying the BoP unless the Defiant has an extra gimmick worthy of purchase.

I am awaiting it, I want the T'Varo as well, so if it comes as a 3 pack as expected, I will get that. Maybe someday I will use the Defiant for something. (Probably not, unless the trait is worth getting.)

I want more than one bird of prey too. The classic B'rel and also the Hegh'ta heavy.

Yes, it seems very likely now that we'll have to wait quite a while longer. And we know of 2 other potential ships or ship packs that could come till then, too. That Dreadnought (Galaxy X, Ha'Pax, Garumba) pack, and something based on the Prometheus.

I hope it will come sooner, but I doubt it.

Is that the actual OP in the Klingon makeup? Good question...I thought a T6 BOP was on the way?

I honestly think we're waiting for season 11 for a t6 bop. Since we're going back to DS9, releasing a T6 defiant would make a lot of sense and since there's a good chance of a 3 pack with a bop and T'varo, I'm thinking Season 11 is the spot.

Yeah, looks like we will have to wait a few more weeks.

(And in way, both Defiant and the Bird of Prey are linked to DS9 - the Bird of Prey was also focused multiple times in DS9, more than in any other series. Dukat stole a Bird of Prey from the Klingons, and later General Martok choose a Bird of Prey for his command vessel, and we've seen plenty of scenes aboard the ship.)

I would love to see a Bird of Prey come out. For the KDF they don't have hardly any options for them. I got a KDF Tac ready for one. She is at lv37. So looks like the last one you can get at Lv40 will be my last one. Since there isn't many options.

This would be a great time to bring out the K'Vort.

Also on board for wanting more Birds of Prey.

More ship models in general for Klingons would be nice. As a free Fed player, every ship I've seen gets multiple free visual options as well as one (sometimes 2) paid models I could pull parts from. Klings get one free and one paid model every step of the way. Kind of disappointing. Not TOO bad (they consistently look good enough that I don't feel like I need to do more than a paintjob, unlike my Fed ships), but kind of disappointing. And that's without considering the sheer variety of ship options the Federation gets to play with.

They keep up the argument of "there are more Fed players", but do they never stop to think "maybe there would be more KDF and Romulans if we got some decent toys to play with"?

Been the same for the 3 years iv been playing & it wont change, more Rom & KDF players means more work for them which they dont want, they are only interested in Fed content.
T6 BOP is about the only thing i would buy now & it would have to be alot better than the T5U Fleet B'rel, ie i have a Fleet T5U MOGH & a Fleet T6 MOGH, T6 was a waste of money.

In that case, are you even sure then that they would release it 2 or 3 years?

It would have been nice to get the bird of prey if and when the attack ship pack happened, but if not, I'm not getting a whole pack for the defiant. For that matter, I'll have reservations about the defiant itself and would simply have to remove it from my list.

Some one should tell geko businesses should be run to make money, not to constantly feed his vendetta against KDF players.

When they were choosing Iconics, they chose the Galaxy, D'Deridex, and a variation of a heavy Cruiser that is notable if you watched the show for LOSING with great frequency.

You're interpreting a bit too much into these things. I suppose they could have taken the Vor'Cha, but the Tier 5 Galaxy and the Tier 5 Neg'Var were extremely close in all stats except turn rate (and the ability to carry DHCs). It seems a logical choice for me.

Holy wall of text ! The Negh'var, Galaxy and D'Deridex where the flagships of their respective fleets during the 2370's.
They are very similar ships, and as such it made sense to release them as bundle.

Since I don't have a timeship, I can't reliably say what season 11 will bring. But even if it is a Raptor, and not the T6 B'rel it is not the end of the world.

Instead of a single ship, I want a BoP triple pack anyway. Tac/Pilot version, Eng/Command version and Sci/Intel.
Chances for that are better with a standalone release.

Named after Kang, Koloth and Kor for maximized epicness. (Skin renaming necessary, but that happened before...) Oh, and they should come with heavy wing cannons. No idea why they gave them to the Kumari, while the BoP's still come without them.

tl, dr: gimme BoP triple pack worth buying nao !

If your objective is to clone stats, it's logical. If you're working the "Iconic" (not "iconian") angle, it's not. (See what I did there?)

aka ships that are emblematic or iconic representations of the factions from the shows and/or movies-the ones that are easily, if not instantly, associated in the minds of the public WITH the shows or movies.

The negh'var, while it had a couple of appearances, isn't that-the ships people 'see' when you say "Klingon" run from the D-7/K'tinga profile, to the Bird of Prey, to the Vor'cha. For mental association with a victorious Klingon Empire, the list narrows down to (in order from most on-screen victories to least) the Bird of Prey to Vor'cha.
Ultimately you have to realize that this is a subjective take and probably largely also a marketing decision what to call the pack that the developers made. You infer way too much from it.

Usually I was one of those people that bought anything KDF but being the direction with what is developed out there and the standard cloaks are pretty crappy being you have to get out of red alert to use it I would largely agree with federation players that the cloak needs to be revamped and is why I didn't buy the raptors or the last battle cruiser pack. Although I am sure this is one big reason why it hasn't been pushed out because most of the *whales* are primarily KDF or either an assembly line of lots of KDF characters. So releasing a crappy T6 bop as well as defiant would even further damage the fading playerbase. So when it gets here it gets here and its not here so I won't be grinding 24/7 anymore in the hopes that it will come.

A T6 BOP. You know; that makes me want to pay lifetime and play a Klinkie. <3

I am already quite happy with some love for the Negh'Var, seal the affair with the BOP... And maybe I'll bring some folks along the lifetime subscription.

By the way... Klinkie ships really have a "Gre'Thor will be paved with your ashes" look and feel; but the old ones. The new raptors and comic (command) cruisers look lackluster compared to a B'rel, Negh'Var or Vor'Cha. Likewise in Feddie side, comic cruisers are... ugly at best, they look like lollypops.

I'm sure they will have a T6 BoP soon, because the Klingons don't have a T6 Raider.

Now the question is what are they going to do to. We going to see Full Universal? Mixed Specialization / Universal?

Also like to know if we will actually get different types than just reskins (since they would all be Universal), because some would like a T6 B'rel and some of us still hope for the larger K'vort.

That would be nice a fully universal mixed spec BOP :) be worth buying just to listen to all the FED's moan about it but if we do ever get one i think it will be based on the pilot raptor set up.

If they actually put a few brain cells together they might come up with the idea that it's better to put universals on the Defiant and T'varo instead as well as the B'rel. :)

Yes! a K'vort would definitely be on my list. Or the Hegh'ta. A nice midsized bird would really be good for the Klingons.

That's the one most likely to happen. But even then I'm not entirely sure that it will happen. When I see it in the ship shops, I'll know.

I figure if they can do all these things like singularity, command, intel, pilot, etc specialty skills and functions and take their time doing it they can make some bop(s) that they can be proud of and the KDF be proud to fly them.

I am just hoping its something other than the current T5 or T5U where when you decloak you are a present with a big bow on you saying gift wrapped vulnerable target shoot me please lol. I figure the way it will be done though with seating is you'll be able to slot any tact, sci, or eng station but like most likely they will have some new raider specific type power and you'll choose between it and a pilot for the commander seating and then like a universal where you choose between an intel or command for the lower seating where its all universal still but with some checks and balances. Then I could be wrong and it could be all universal of anything lol.

The only hard pressed input I would express to Cryptic at this time though is possibly looking at how bops fare vs a warbird with their battle cloaks vs the inability where they can put remans where their ambush is pretty much an unlimited amount of time if you do it right. So that klingon raiders maybe get something with mastery that balances that out. I've just seen with the mastery so far on birds of prey the tier 1-4 it doesn't really give you anything to help the functionality of being a raider but just some run of the mill masteries that are about on every kind of ship out there. Also hoping Season 11 will have stuff to raid because right now only thing really there ever has been for raiding is solo pi canis sorties and those are like pre-existing just about everything old in the game right now that hasn't been touched. As well as what would be viewed as world content with the sector space/quadrant space it was great that DSE's were brought back but hopefully its a good start of something other than adventure zones or queues which veteran players are kinda finding lackluster only because we've been doing them for years and its time to move onto something new.
