As far as I'm concerned, it's a rumor until it hits the ship shops. That being said, we all know what came of the rumors regarding the battlecruiser and heavy escort packs, so there is more room for hope for this and the attack ship too. Now how about my T6 Hegh'ta?

Hegh'ta remains unannounced and unrumoured. The only rumour concerns the B'Rel, Defiant and T'Varo. Which I know fear will take some time to get to us, since it seems to make "marketing sense" to release a Tier 6 Defiant together with a season that features DS9 heavy content. (And not to forget - the B'Rel also had a lot of attention in DS9.) That would probably mean October.

Probably, however with some ships the vanilla and fleet versions are staggered. Maybe the vanilla will come sooner, and the fleet versions will release with the next season.

LOL, the B'Rel had more airtime in DS9 and the Dominion War than the rest of Trek combined Vor'Cha also but it wasn't a feature ship like the Defiant and B'Rel were.
One of the things "that source" did catch was the T6 Prometheus. Everything that they have found, minus 1 ship, has gone into the game. Now, they didn't catch everything, like the D'Deridex that went in with the Galaxy and Negh'Var. But what they do find typically means it's for real coming.

Hmmm... it'd be nice if they did a quick little update on the B'Rel and tossed in a Wide-Angle Photon Torpedo Launcher. That would allow for a 3-piece set between the B'Rotlh/B'Rel/<insert T6 B'Rel name here>, with minimal coding effort since all they'd need to do is make a Photon variant of the Wide-Angle Quantum Torpedo Launcher. Doing so would allow the Klingon version to more closely approach the capabilities of the rest of that pack (specifically the T'varo Light Warbird Retrofit), one of the reasons I haven't purchased a couple of the cross-faction packs lately. Even better (from a company perspective) is that they might sell the T5 B'Rel to players looking for access to a KDF Wide-Angle even if they aren't folks that enjoy BoP gameplay, without the need to make new ships/skins... definitely a plus.
So... my guesses for the sets:
Federation
Tactical Escort Refit [Phaser Quad Cannons [Dmg]x4]
Tactical Escort Retrofit [Console - Universal - Cloaking Device]
T6 Defiant [Console/Weapon TBD]
Set 2: Enhanced Cannon Potency
Passive +10% Cannon Damage
Set 3: Enchanced Stealth Systems
Passive ability to activate [Console - Universal - Cloaking Device] and Mask Energy Signature while at Red Alert
Set 2: Enhanced Projectile Potency
Passive +10% Projectile Damage
Set 3: Enhanced Structural Integrity Fields
Passive +12.5% base hull, which may be increased by all other modifiers (to bring them closer to the Defiant defensively, in the same manner that the ability to cloak in combat brings the Defiant closer to the B'Rel/T'varo)
With each passing day I wonder if I stepped into an alternate reality. The Cubs win the world series. Donald Trump is President. Britain leaves the EU. STO gets a dedicated PvP season. Engineers are "out of control" in STO.

Escorts are all over STO. Do we really need more upgraded versions of the old ones?
Here's an idea: spend a little of that love on science and engineering ships to make them compatible with the power creep which has made Escorts the kings of STO. T6 Recon Sci anyone? Gravity Wells and Subnukes for everybody!

Did you invent a time machine and come from the year 2013? Escorts have been irrelevant for a long time now.
Ship classes are reasonably balanced
so long as you set them up with cookie cutter BFAW spam builds, but Cruisers mostly reign supreme these days.
The only reason you see escorts being flown in reasonably high numbers is because DBB's have narrow firing arcs.

What game are you playing?
Its Cruisers Online currently. I cant disagree that the game needs more Science Ships but Id argue that the Romulans and Klingons need that Science Love more then the Feds do.
The Advanced Escorts, Star Cruisers and Recon/DSSVs have yet to receive any sort of 2410 treatment. I still dont see where its wrong to ask for something I and obviously others want in game. Its not taking away from what you want and others like you.

Cruisers are still the dominant ship type, but recent ship releases have really narrowed the gap. I'm seeing FAR more Escorts then I did just a month ago, and it's a great thing. It actually looks like there is some variety starting to form in ship types. The Pilot Escorts as well as the Heavy Escort Carriers look to have been very successful.
Science Ships are the exception, they're still in the vast minority. I disagree that they need to improve 'Engineering ships' because there are dozens of engineering heavy ships already in the game, but Science definitely needs some love soon. I think a T6 Vesta Pack would really help solve that problem.
Science is incredibly powerful right now, the reason it isn't popular is because it requires more money, time, intelligence and patience to use science builds then any other ship type. But for those of us willing to put in the effort it is extremely rewarding. Short of making science insanely OP, and it's already in danger of that now, you will never see a lot of people using it.
Tac Cruisers, yes. Plenty of those. Eng Cruisers? Very few. Healboats? An extinct species. It's currently all about the DPS, and tactical builds dominate everywhere I go.
I still like the scrappy little Recon Sci. Almost as fast and nimble as a slow escort, almost enough shield to tank, and almost enough sci powers to mess with anybody on the map. It would benefit more from a T6 upgrade than anything else in the game, in my opinion. It would make Science characters popular again overnight.

I'm betting the T6 Defiant has an innate cloak, people have been asking for that a while, but I also think it will get raiding damage bonus as well.
Plus and this is out there, I think if they release a T6 Odyssey, it will launch a Valiant (T6 Defiant) pet instead of the unpopular Aqurius.
And I have more speculation, when they come out with the T6 Voq'ue Carrier, they'll allow it some how to launch Kor Birds of Prey (T6 B'rels).
The funny thing is, I picked up the Kazon Heavy Raider for a couple characters that needed a temporary end game ship (before the Event ships became account unlocks even outside of Events) and it turned out that I loved the thing... and the Fleet Aquarius Light Escort is its superior in every way. If it weren't so bloody expensive, I think that the poor little Aquarius would have done rather well... but 4 Fleet Ship Modules + 1 Ship Upgrade Token is just too expensive for something to try out for ships and giggles. Maybe if the Fleet Aquarius Light Escort gained the FSM discount for ownership of the Odyssey Tactical Cruiser (and the Fleet HoH'SuS Bird-of-Prey likewise gained a discount for ownership of the Bortasqu' War Cruiser) it would have done better... but sadly that's not the case, and T6 makes purchasing old T5 ships somewhat of a bad idea anyway (in Zen, the price is comparable whether it's 4 FSMs + 1 SUT vs 5 FSMs, so the T6 is a better option).

"We can't make enough variations to sell"??? **** right that don't fly! Should I guess it's our favorite Klingon hating lizard's taking more words to say "**** YOU!" than necessary? I'd settle for 2 variations. B'rel and Hegh'ta.
