Opened cstore box, opened item, 2 points showing but the purchase button is grey, tried 2 toons so far and jumping between characters, moving them to another area etc.
Just earned a spec point by moving the bar across and that won't spend either. Looks like the issue is that the desired trait/skill thing won't highlight when clicked on.
Just tried a 3rd toon, moved his bar the lat 8k points, eraned a specialization point and can't spend it. On this one I did not fully open the freebies either.
I'm glad there is a fix coming soon. I just tried to spend four spec points on three different characters and wasn't able to spend the spec points ... I was worried something was wrong with my account until I read this.

We've verified it, and fixed it internally. And it looks like the current plan is to patch Holodeck tomorrow morning to fix the issue for everyone.

A: No. Claiming the promo Spec Points will not harm your character in any way. Please claim them while you can - they are only available for a limited time!
Q: I earned "X" while this bug is/was present. Will I lose that when it's fixed?
A: No, everything earned/unlocked while this bug is present will still be there after we repair the issue.
Q: I earned/unlocked a new Trait, but can't slot it. Is this related?
A: Yes, this is another symptom of the same "Skills Invalid" issue. While in this state, new abilities cannot be added or removed from your character. This primarily affects Skills, Specs and Traits.
Q: What IS the cause of the issue? Can we avoid it?
A: The root cause is reaching T4 in the Delta Reputation. If you have not yet reached that point, you can avoid suffering this bug by not progressing your Delta Reputation, if you so choose.
Q: Is there a workaround?
A: Unfortunately, no. You'll be fixed as soon as the patch goes to Holodeck, but until then there's nothing that can be done to remove the error once it's already afflicting your character.

I have this issue only on one alt, 3 other lvl 60 alts had no problems and I was able to spend the (free) spec points. Main alt has now 3 unspendable spec points....
Past successes are never a guarantee for future ones
