    1) Any ship I've ever purchased on an old (now deleted) character.
    2) Any Lock Box (or Lobi) ship I've ever opened.
    3) I can't remember it's name, but the KDF counterpart to the Fleet Federation Ambassador.
    4) A second Fleet Assault Cruiser (I needed this on a second toon, wish I hadn't purchased the first one).

The only ship purchase I have ever regretted was long ago with the KDF Bortasqu' 3-pack.

Even with today's gimmicks to improve Engine Power, speed, turn rate, nothing will help that absolutely horrible inertia rating of the Bortasqu' which is by far the worst in the game. Kahless help you if you make a mistake in the course of your flying.

for me, this is the d'deridex; i hate this big, fat, slow cow. this ship has destroyed my love for the cruisers; now i play only with escorts/warbirds or destroyers.

+ the mogh (even if i like this ship), because there is the matha raptor.

Thankfully I have no regrets--but that was because I kept my ship purchasing down, and only after studying the ship well and developing an idea of how I was going to build it before purchase. My Vesta serves two toons well, with alternate builds. My Dromias has turned into a neat cruiser/sci hybrid, and my Galor...admittedly that one's really for RP value more than anything. But, I feel confident that I could build it out for real play someday if I felt like it. I have no other C-store ships that weren't part of a free giveaway, that I can remember. (Correction: I MIGHT have small craft, and that would make my one regret the Peregrine fighter. I have done better with the Yellowstone Danube.)

And I intend to keep it that way--even if Cryptic tries to tempt me with a T6 of those ships. After seeing my Vesta nerfed with all the carrier pets, I do not trust a T6 ship to hold its play value. I still love the play style of my current ships though, despite Cryptic's attempt to do otherwise. So I'll stay with what I have.

Actually, theres the Qib trait (cannon use gives inertia boost), craftable engines can have +10 inertia (or +5 for the undine engine) and I think theres a few other things that increase inertia...

You can, via them, a2d, epte, a frackload of rcs and a few other bits, turn the bort into a dhc using leviathan (although I did use the lobi elachi cannon and the arc dhc too so I got more pew in turns)

I don't really regret getting any of my ships. Closest to it its probably the Kumari 3-pack. This ship is what brought me to STO. Reading it was about to get released. Took then 2 years to hit the server. I didn't really like the reskin, nor did I like the boff layout of them.
I was praying the Kumari would turn out to be a battlecruiser. Instead it was a Raptor with TRIBBLE boff layout. And guns which should have been released with a BoP 3-pack. Still running the Charal with my Andorian tac, but thats like once in a month. Playing blue side is a pain in the ****. ESD chat is just unbearable.

I wouldn't buy the following packs again:
    - Odyssey
    - Vesta
    - Scimitar

Don't feel comfortable flying those ships. Now when I think about Zen I could spend on something else :P

Guardian: came with the DR pack, as it is just hyper-saturates the amount of cruisers already owned. I'd rather have an Andromeda if it only came with a flight deck or if the Chevron Separation of Odyssey was allowed on it, or just fly the weak Odyssey in its place.

T5U B'Rel BoP: but only because whenever the T6 is out it will make it completely obsolete and I'll be forced to get the T6 variant which should be real good considering it was once considered as a Pilot ship and so the follow-up of it should be on par with a Pilot ship. There's no console to port over to the T6, and I'm not a fan of the skin to re-use it either unless it allowed using the Ning'Tao skin which it does not. Very glad I never got around to a fleet variant, or it'd be a waste of that and a ship slot too. Also never got to flying it at all as it's been taking too long leveling freebie ships and the raptor and the qin for their traits.

Valdore for the Valdore console: I don't notice the shield regeneration working all that well anymore, and I got it post nerf knowing it was 'balanced', and although I do like the skin, I didn't get the Morrigu to combine with it or use it on. I'll have to test it out more to see if it's really worth the console slot.

Constellation Heavy Cruiser Refit: For the Warp Burst Capacitor which was fun for a while, but the +Dmg offensive capability seems worthless or it's completely broken, and simply is redundant and a waste of a console slot in comparison to other abilities like Photonic Displacement. It is supposed to stack with Decloaking bonus but so far I'm not seeing it, and as before will need to test it more carefully.

T5FU Atrox: seems like an ineffective science-heavy carrier; pets having been nerfed and lacking good AI makes keeping them alive as a support role seem pointless; those 5 fleet ship modules-worth EC would no doubt have had a better use for say a T5U Tal Shiar Adapted Battlecruiser instead; only redeeming quality is it looks real nice, like a true carrier and properly sized, unlike that Sarr Theln

Other ships: I'm mostly happy with the rest of them, if some of their only redeeming qualities may just be their skin
    - Odyssey: all-round underwhelming and with a useless and weak (and completely nerfed) Saucer AI, but one of the best ship designs ever with an incredible bridge
    - Dauntless: completely worthless console that I just can't use effectively in PvE scenarios even with overcapped Aux, strange healing focus but with tac-heavy boff layout, slow impulse speeds for a ship made for pure warp speed (make it all-round fast, it's experimental re-build after all), probably the weakest T6 Sci ship ever, but it's canon looks (despite the fact that the original would have been like a shuttle - real tiny compared to the Intrepid) and the fact that it seems so neglected from the start and that nobody seems to fly or own it (for good reasons) makes it more rare and I tend to fly it a lot plus the tac focus does make it stand out from other sci ships at the very least.
    - Pathfinder: It might be on par with the Wells and so overlaps in a sense, but the pet has no UI or flight deck controls despite it being an awesome unexpected addition to the ship otherwise (pet sci witchery!); I should have got the interior package but Cryptic just doesn't want our Zen cause apparently exclusivity and locking out their customers makes them more profit; the fleet variant is locked way out of reach

That is sacrificing build space to get the ship to even acceptable, somewhat passable levels of handling. Build space that could be used in making the ship hit harder.

Whereas with a ship like the Fleet Vor'Cha, T5/T6 Mogh, T6 Qib, T6 Negh'Var, these are already very potent, sturdy Battlecruisers with good or top of the line handling that I don't have to sacrifice build space to make them fly better.

Mine was spending zen to open over 180 research and development packs to get the bug ship. What a massive waste of money. The ship is awesome but not worth the cash I paid for it.

For me it was worth it for the wtf value among friends/viewers as the 'brick' (as I afectionately call it) could hit 100+ impulse, had a 35 degree+ turn with a tighter than expected turning circle and hit like a sledgehammer with its dhcs and cannon console blazing (it amused me every time I got a 'get another ship' message in estfs then the bort ripped the borg a new one)

Anyway, I do agree at its base the bort is pretty horrible - but for me instead of the hunt for dps, I like to take a ship and see what insanity I can pull from its pulsating innards - like my 2k+ impulse corvette build - while making it a fun, intresting, useable ride

I have to say, any ship I spent real money obtaining. Lockbox ships, C-Store Ships, and I have a ton across multiple characters... most wither away in mothballs. The power creep, nerfing, and buffing causes ships to come out of style...

Tin Foil Hat Therory; I believe that each "new" ship/console/trait that is released C-Store or Lockbox is purposfully made more powerful than any before it... simply to get them sold... then it would get nerfed in line with some others... and the next ship/console/trait is released. Just my opinion.

None. I've only bought the Plasmoic Leach ship, Valdore, and a T5U TAC Oddy. No complaints.

Scimmy 3-pack. Should've just bought the Tac Scim.

Other than that, buying the Fleet modules to upgrade my T5 Battlecruisers before the T6 creep.

I buy ships with DilZen now so I'm more careful with my purchases.

Hmmm, probably the fleet T5U Avenger and Heavy Escort Carrier. Not because they're bad ships (they were the main ships for my engineering and tactical characters until the T6 versions came along) but because instead of buying the C-store version and then a fleet module to upgrade, I bought the individual fleet modules and got them that way. Missed out on the console and being able to have those ships on other characters until T6.

I regret almost all my purchases. Particularly upgrading some ships to fleet and T5U. If I had known that the ships I had upgraded to T5U would get re-released as T6 I wouldn't have bothered upgrading them. If I could go back in time I would have limited my purchases significantly.

The Galaxy pack. I bought this before I understood how to build ships. And the T5 Galaxy has one of the most lopsided boff layouts in the game. Visually, the Galaxy is perhaps my favorite ship. While it was "cool" to fly around and have it at max level, the regular T5 Galaxy (fleet version included) are pure garbage. The Galaxy-X (fleet version included) is slightly better. The bad experience has been holding me back from buying the T6 Galaxy despite it's improved boff layout.
When you see "TRIBBLE" in my posts, it's because I manually typed "TRIBBLE" and censored myself.

All Pre-Tier 5 ships, since they basically are just place holders for their consoles.

No I don't wonder. I know why they did it. But now I don't spend anything on this game I just use converter dilithium and that's in direct response to what I consider double dipping. In the long run they will get less money from me.

The Scimitar. Now don't get me wrong, that ship is a solid ship, I know it is, but for me personally I couldn't adapt to it and it fought me every step of the way, so when the Faeht came out I was happy to switch and while she fought me in the beginning we got to know each other better. As for the scimitar, well Oh well, at least I can claim I own one hehe

Until power creep got to the point I could get my Scimitar to turn 30 and slap the vet skin on her she wasn't worth it. I feel she is better now, but not my first pick by far, at least for my play style. Never really enjoyed the Ar'kif & Ar'kala either. Gave up on the Faeht, and went back to my T'Varo, Pilot, and Vet Ship.

My Mogh is mothballed, KDF Dyson 3pk are seldom touched. My Vor'Cha, Kamarang, Mat'Ha, Pilot Ships, and Command Cruisers keep my 7 KDF toons occupied.

Fed, Defiant was a disappointment, HEC just not to my style, MVAE and the Pilot Ships are my preferred Escorts. I got good use out of my Vestas, but prefer the Scryer or Nebula these days.

Atrox and the Andorian Escort pack.

Nice and shiny when they came out, quickly relegated to 'RP only' status when they were outclassed within like 2 months.

I haven't exactly regretted any purchases. I do plenty of research before even considering making a purchase. But if I truly had to choose, I would say the Ch'Tang. Bought this ship purely for the mirror universe equivalent's aesthetics. Then I realized this mirror universe BoP didn't have folding wings.

So for all the research I did when purchasing the Ch'Tang, I forgot to research the actual mirror universe ship I wanted to fly. Riker's sad trombone played in my head.
    riker-trombone-o.gif

There's still hope though. Regardless of what skin they decide the incoming T6 BoP will use, I will buy it on the spot. It's been too long since the KDF had a top-of-the-line BoP in their shipyards.
