You kidding me? I'm still listening the WoK soundtrack as I type this post
Seriously, now that I've had a day to absorb the stats, the T6 is a perfectly workable ship for me. Not only because I *love* the Excelsior look, but also because the stats are complimentary to what I've already been doing.
If I were hunting high DPS, then there are better ships.

This makes me wish I had a much better graphics card and wasn't playing on a laptop with a 14" screen. All your Excels look great -- is type 7 available to it as well?
As for the aesthetics of the T6 Prommie, I am hoping that it is more like the Pathfinder than the Resolute.
Dang it, I should have used that command to really buff graphics, my 980 could handle it. Resolute Pylons and Alpha Excelsior Nacells (for the blue sideglow). What fleet are you in Scarlet?

Yes, Type 7 is available but I think that texture is only for T6 ships. It's the textures that I'm using for the screenshots I made in my last reply. Interestingly, this and maybe another T6 ship can use the Type 7 Textures but there are no Type 7 Patterns. There's very subtle differences between using Andromeda and Type 7 on other T6 Fed ships.
The aesthetics of the T6 Excelsior is a weird pattern that's finally come back around home. The Fed Command FDCs draw very heavily from the original Excelsior with their Hull and Neck components. The elongated Engineering Hull, very thick Neck, characteristics previously shown only on the Excelsior. But now that the T6 Excelsior is here, the design cues copies from the Excel by the Command FDCs have come back home.
@ tieberione - I'm sorry for not responding earlier. My fleet is called "The Dawn Patrol". A small little group transplanted from City of Heroes when it shut down.
I'm getting used to the Resolute style and lines but have yet to tinker with the customizer myself. These pics are giving me ideas though. Alternatively I could stick with my original idea: keeping the Excelsior (the Type 6 skin looks SHAWEET).
Sorry for the very late reply. With the Iconian Engine visuals on, there was no noticeable difference. The only special effects are from the Deflector and Shields.

Get the Forums Enhancement Extension!
It does, I've been waiting years for type 6 for my Excel.
Wow.
Resolute pylons was the only change from standard ...
Correct?

This is the first version, with the Type-7 hull - everything is Resolute except for the Hull and Pylons, which are Excelsior.
The second pic features a Type-6 hull, with the Nacelles in the Excelsior Retrofit (Alpha) setup - the Neck and Saucer are still Resolute.
EDIT: Ship name is USS Sakaira.
EDIT 2: Third configuration is the same as the second, only with the Type-7 hull.

@warmaker - is that the Iconian Deflector?
Yes it is. It's on my Andorian Delta Recruit who has zero reputation or fleet equipment, save for the Iconian Deflector and Engine.
What do the engine trails look like?
