actually you may find that isn't cruelty, my daughter had 2 female hamsters that used to do that every now and then, over and over and over again.. they'd take it in turns.. 1 would run like crazy, suddenly stop running and spin around inside the wheel, she come zooming out and then the other 1 would jump right in after her and do the exact same thing.. we had to move them out of my daughters bedroom, she used to sneak out of bed to watch them, and we would hear her giggling from downstairs. or maybe it was it chinchillas, memory is baad.. they were fluffy and they weren't rats.. i'll need to ask her next time she's here

However, I do believe that we need to respect the life we are taking to provide nourishment to ourselves. I believe that you shouldn't waste food--specifically meats--since a life was taken for us to partake it.
So at this time I feel I should ask, will this overly long maintenance cycle extend the Risa event another day? I feel I am being cheated out of the 1 day extension we were given to make up for the last time this happened.

i know... its something that i am forced to struggle with daily due to my profession. i dont have the luxury of blissful ignorance. i was 17 years old when my chef made us go down to the abattoir to teach us a harsh lesson in wastage and respect for food. i shudder to realise those guys were on their best behaviour with us on the floor...

but would rather see all bugs fixed in one long down time
then two or three days of multiple down times
The most funny thing is, are they going to extend the summer event? ^^ lolz. Because they already extended it 1 day but it was useless, so, it is going to end the 18th?. I mean this is getting ridiculous lolz.

Hey the OP said at beginning of this thread that all we had to expect from winning was bragging rights so... yeah.. it's like bragging about the apocalypse and saying haha i win... to uh... nobody but it's still winning a bet right?

Sadly i have no faith that once we can log back in... we won't still get emergency maintenance. So just in first 'patch' we're exceeding anyone's estimation, and we can still expect some extra :smile:
Although i picked up my Nandi long ago i think regarding the summer event extending it a day is not enough. Who knows what further issues might occur with the game once it comes back up. I think a fairer situation would be to extend the summer event to Monday the 20th Just in case the server needs more love

This program, though reasonably normal at times, seems to have a strong affinity to classes belonging to the Cat 2.0 program. Questerius 2.7 will break down on occasion, resulting in garbage and nonsense messages whenever it occurs. Usually a hard reboot or pulling the plug solves the problem when that happens.
It's nice that the admin talked to us at all and let us know it was about hardware too, and offering compensation. Never expect compensation from Cryptic when they took my Sub away after only 15 days due to their site TRIBBLE up not on my end. Send two reports and never get a response back after a month of waiting. But sure, give us another day for Risa... when most are done already :P What about our Rep cooldowns... or keeping up with tickets. Not to mention this admin stated the game was back up in their post (unless i misread) hours ago and was obviously wrong or didn't get proper communication themselves. They are not going to extend it past the 17th. Trust me. They always do the same, they "say" that they extend the event for 1 day, something happens, but that day is not compensated. So, if the story repeats, tomorrow will be the last day of the summer event. I personally dont care, i already have the ship (thou i am not going to fly it ever in my life) but the facts are funny to say the least.
