Hazard emitters don't purge borg shield neutralizer anymore.

did I miss a patch or is this a bug? they don't seem to purge the shield neutralizers anymore, do they not count as a hazard debuff anymore? it doesn't matter if I activate it during the neutralizer effect or if I already had the hazard emitter effect active and counting down, my shield vanish into nothingness regardless ;_;.

Can anyone confirm this? how can I best report this ? is there a record option somewhere?

    I dont recall hazard emitters to purge shield neutralizers, ever... hazard emitters will cleanse the plasma leaks, that borg produces on your ship, for example, but it will not prevent the borg to rip out your shields. And this is happening this way since, ages ago.

    From what I've seen, HE clears the neuralizer, but the neuralizer isn't the problem; the problem is the tachyon beam spam, which neither HE, ST, nor anything else I'm aware of does.

    The Hazard Emitters do clear them, its not stated in the tooltip but it does

    yea i noticed this as well, it clears the neuralizer but the problem is also, there is too much spam of that skill (the neuralizer), i remember once that I got hit with it 4 times in a row, and when you get hit with it when your haz is already active or on cd, you cant clear the other ones :/

    I thought the op was talking about this, since i dont have a clue about the "neuralizer" dont know even what that is. Since the tachyon revamp, a long time ago, hazard emitter never worked against those shield drainer spams.

    shield "Neuralizer" is simply a typo of 1 letter missing due to being overly tired which due to your insistence has become way more embarrassing then it should have been :< *sits in corner and whimpers while hugging teddy*

    Oh so that thing is the borg neutralizer.. but the effect of that weapon is instant, you cant neutralize it with hazard emitters for obvious reasons.. or i am missing something?

    apparently the hazard emitters only purges a debuff once a second, which is the real problem as even spheres now use the ability on you, so you end up with 1 neutralizer purged and 3 still on you.. your shield do not like this at all :< currently the only way I can think of to compensate for it is investing a few points in intelligence as a secondary specialisation for the 10 second shield regeneration and armor rating increase when a shield facing hits zero.

    No, spheres use Tachyon Beam, which is a different, uncleansable power.

    Nah, maxing power insulators has no effect either. You just need to learn how to hold and use healing abilities as fast as you can..

For example, attacks from Tachyon Beam will drain less energy from your shields, and attacks from Energy Siphon will drain less power from your ship subsystem power levels. " and This is primarily a PvP oriented skill, but can be situationally useful in PvE: even just having three points into the skill can considerably reduce the effectiveness of Borg Shield Neutralizers." is that out of date??

    The wiki is very much out of date. Tachyon Beam was buffed a few months ago, and thanks to the NPC multipliers, the ability is so effective that even heavy investment in Power Insulators doesn't do much to stave off the drain in advanced and (especially) elite content.

    so the player version is still useless against npcs because of multipliers while their version is 10-20 times as effective as it should be?... yay :T so shifting around a little bit of skill points to get full insulator isn't worth the reset token, got it :<

    Actually, Tachyon Beam is "cleansed" with Photonic Shockwave.​​

    Well, i did several borg red alerts and i DID notice that my hazard emmiters actually cleanse the borg neutralizer. I mean, once the borg hit me, i click on hazard emitters and the effect goes away and i have my shields back again (at minimum power but they are there). So, maybe it is a random bug?

    Actually, Tachyon Beam is "cleansed" with Photonic Shockwave.​​
