Will the Dominion join the Alliance against the Iconians?

Does anyone think the Dominion will join the Alliance against the Iconians/Heralds? If the Iconians are hell bent on destroying the Milky Way galaxy and not just the Alpha/Beta Quadrants, then the Delta and Gamma Quadrants would be next. Maybe a combined fleet of Borg and Species 8472 might join in the fun.

Supposedly Sela asks them later in the Iconian rep storyline (I'm only at T2 so far) and they say no, which jibes with what Eraun said in "Facility 4028", that their official policy is to give the Iconians a wide berth.

Apparently they haven't seen what we learned in "Sphere of Influence", which is that the Iconians have the same opinion of the Dominion...

Interesting idea, but I'd more happy to play as them :D

I hope not. I want at least one major adversary in this Cryptic universe that isn't part of the big best friends alliance.

Alliance? Hardly. This is a truce until the Iconians are dealt with. The Klingons have a million different war crimes to answer for after that.

Lol, that will be a miracle. The dominion are maybe the most isolated alliance? (dont even know how to call em) species of all the quadrants, even more than Tholians or the Undine, well maybe not but more or less.

But seeing how bad is going the writting in the game, maybe we are wrong and they suddenly change for some weird and unexpected reason..

Sela is negotiating with the Dmonion, but suddenly they get a visit from the Heralds...

    Source: Iconian Rep

So who knows.... They might be persuaded.
Don't look silly... Don't call it the "Z-Store/Zen Store"...
Let me put the rumors to rest: it's definitely still the C-Store (Cryptic Store) It just takes ZEN.

You are right on the money on that.
Sela gives that update at T5, and the prior updates give several clues that she was in talks with the Dominion.

The Iconians commit a stupid strategic mistake. The Dominion had zero intent in joining the alliance. The Iconians could have kept the pressure up on the alliance alone then dealing with the very large Dominion later on. Instead, they initiate hostilities with the Dominion and are now fighting a power that's as large as the alliance itself on its own, while still tangling with the Fed-Klingon-Rom Republic alliance.

    Morons.

Props to Cryptic if we win this war. With a DeLorean.

You must be a Kirk fan. He knew the devil was Klingon long before any other captain did.

In great armour I shall clad him and with the mightiest weapons he shall be armed.
He will be untouched by plague or disease; no sickness shall blight him.
He shall have such tactics, strategies and machines that no foe will best him in battle.

They don't actually say no. They just politely keep shuttling her around between various bureaucrats (T4). She claims to have made progress by T5, but apparently has run out of time and are being hounded by Iconian servitors.

Supposedly, according to the Doff system, there's a Federation embassy in Dominion space, which is more than there is for the Undine. Though, of course, that's via the Doff system... still, at least after the Cardassian series there seems to be a line of communication ("The repeaters are working on this side").

Don't drive our backs against the wall or we will unleash our mightiest weapon and the empire's most evil and dangerous enemy.

    Tribbles.

Klingons have advanced technology to turn those tribbles into piles of carcasses. Thus, Klingons have already won ;)

It would be nice to have them on our side to help finish them off at the end. As even the Iconians kinda feared them at this time.

Indeed. And some in Starfleet have secret "farms" in support of that cause B)

it's looking more and more likely the dominion is sitting back watching the beta quadrant fighting the iconians waiting for both of them to wear each other out. just remember there is no love between the beta quadrant allies and the dominion for forcing them to take a massive loss. the dominion are probably prepping for a major invasion and just waiting for the resolution to reach its point, regardless which side wins on the other side of the wormhole, the dominon will probably strike while there is a fair amount of chaos in the quadrants.
    T6 Miranda Hero Ship FTW.

which is when we strike a deal with the vaadwaur to let them expand into the gamma quadrant if they help us slap down the dominion and we can bring them into our happy alliance, buy em a coke and enjoy galactic peace while petting tribbles and epohh

I take it a bunch of you guys have never gotten T5 Iconian Rep. It answers lots of questions with exactly who Sela is dealing with and what's going on in that region of space by the time you get T5 Iconian Rep. Her clues as you climb up the rep tiers with encoder updates make it very obvious. I don't want to spoil it but it's been brought up around these boards ;)

Correct on that. The Dominion has changed as a whole just because he was included in the Great Link, finally. Not saying things are going to completely change and turn the Dominion into "Federation v10.9" but his insight and voice within the Great Link can pull the Dominion into directions that it would not have done before his arrival.
