I have been around for years, but don't post often, since there tends to be so much back-and-forth sniping. But quickly answering a poll question is something I can get behind without fear of being shouted down.
Don't mind honest mission failures, or taking a longer time to finish a map. I find that part of the fun in the challenge of it. But when 'the oblivions' join advanced space STFs, or some elite ground STFs completely clueless and often dead-set on causing mission failures without actually blatantly trolling, it gets annoying, and I wish Cryptic would find a way (out of so many ways) to block entry to advanced/elite to those incapable of such basic tasks. Now Normal gives everything you need for rep gear, so there's no saying it's no longer F2P. With fewer queuing, pre-made teams just take longer to form than risking a pug to someone who decides to pop a gen or enable all 3 herald portals before seeing green on mandatory objectives causing a fail you cannot prevent and just switching alts to try again.
But back to the poll, yes, STFs in teams, because it's an MMO, and team dynamics add a lot of unpredictable scenarios and fun combinations to experiment with on top of tweaking alts, ships, and gear.
Hehe, I thought something like this as well. I don't get people's fascination with polls. For isntance, the OP could simply have created a thread with that question and people could tell their story. Now they try to pick something that isn't quite really what they actually think and the resulting vote is utterly meaningless.
@ OP: This is not meant mean spirited, mind you. But polls rarely make much sense. To add to the topic: I have the most fun tweaking my builds to fit certain (rp-ish) themes, extend characters backstories and occasionally visit red alerts/deep space encounters to grind out marks and equipment.

I get what you are saying - the reality for each person is much more dynamic than the simple choices offered above. But there isn't a great way to summarize that information, since it is unique to each person. Maybe I am just bad at navigating these forums, but when 1 or 2 voices tend to dominate threads, it is hard for me to tell if a lot of others really fell a certain way or are simply staying out of the conversation. You are a fairly active poster, so it may be easier for you to type out your thoughts succinctly. Personally, I would rather just cast my vote in a general direction than have to make a detailed, well-scripted essay.

Getting into the foundry (both playing and creating) is something I've always meant to do, but never have. Maybe someday.
This also applies to me:
KDF: Dahar Master Kan (Borg Klingon Tactical)::Dahar Master Torc (Alien Science)::Dahar Master Sisteric (Gorn Engineer)
RR-Fed: Citizen Sirroc (Romulan Science)::Fleet Admiral Grell (Alien Engineer)
RR-KDF: Fleet Admiral Zemo (Reman Tactical)::Fleet Admiral Xinatek (Reman Science)::Fleet Admiral Bel (Alien Engineer)
TOS-Fed: Fleet Admiral Katem (Andorian Tactical)::Lieutenant Commander Straad (Vulcan Engineer)
Dom-Fed: Dan'Tar (Jem'Hadar Science)
Dom-KDF: Kamtana'Solan (Jem'Hadar Science)
CoHost of Tribbles in Ecstasy (Zombee)
USS Casinghead NCC 92047 launched 2350
Fleet Admiral Stowe - Dominion War Vet.
Although I also get enjoyment from just hanging out with my fleet, which isn't on the list.
Now it's Brotherhood of the Sword and getting my Delta Recruit--my first alt ever-- all caught up.
I love the content that our talented Cryptic team(s) have put out for us, but the Foundry just wins out due to sheer volume of imaginative authors (91,000 Foundry missions vs. maybe 100 Cryptic missions). Even if you throw out 90,000 of those missions as terrible, that still leaves 1000 really cool missions to play through over a BROAD spectrum of story plots. Besides, it's just so cool to be able to contribute to the game in a productive manner and see what others have made, creating essentially an unlimited universe to explore.
Now if we could just make it easier for folks to find all that cool content...

My second answer is "anywhere but ground combat". The STO ground combat system annoys me.
