Ideas may not be done in game at all but it is good none the less some the devs may draw some ideas from those ideas. And for those of you that where crying for proof there it is given by fraghul2000, thanks man finallt found it was gonna post but you beat me lol. SO yes the Cardassians will be added in what why is still up for debate of it. The ships is just my idea of what iw ould do with theme rom tier 1 to tier 5.
Al Rivera stated on one priority one Podcast episode (forget which one) that Cardassians can still be put into the game. As people are stating, Cryptic hasn't given us any indication WHEN it'll happen. We can talk about what we want in a Cardassian faction, but consider a faction out of the question until a formal announcement.
As for the ships that you are proposing to fill out the Cardassian complement of ships, the non-canon ones you put up simply will not ever work since those are from a separate game and Cryptic would have to negotiate with CBS (I think) in order to even put the ships in the game. The Reconnaissance Science Vessel and the Multi-Mission Explorer ships were non-canon ships, the latter of which Cryptic had to negotiate for with CBS in order to get into the game. I think if anything, Cryptic would want to stick to canon ships and add in Cryptic original ships to fill out the ships. (Dhelan and Ha'apax were not canon ships, but were derived from them).
The wiki is NOT Cryptics, it is owned by Gamepedia and maintained by the players, not Cryptic. It is not a valid source for what Cryptic will do in the future, but it is a great resource for the state of the game currently.
The references it cites, which are direct links to dev interviews and podcasts are valid sources though.
As I have read if I have read it correctly the Cardassians will be added at some point and time but there are a few things I would like to see. First they need to be a complete independent faction like the Romulans should have been from the start but wasn't, Cardassians need be independent from the start from KDF or the FEDs. Alsi o would love to see this list of ships in the game warning might be a space taker. So let me now what you think is it a good idea or just garbage more cannon ships than non cannon. If you want more images I can all of theme except for the Damar Class. Still looking for its images.
I am also a big fan of the Hideki, Keldon, and Janissary classes. I disagree with you that the Cardassians "should" be their own full faction. While I agree that it would be nice, you have to ask yourself... What's the point? There is no endgame PVP ranking of any kind. There is no territory that can actively be captured by factions. In fact, beyond E-Peening, there is no system/event in the game that is driving PVP at all. On top of that the game is already 5 years old, so even if there were any point to PVP, any new Cardassian fleet will be years behind their FED and KDF counterparts.
When you see "TRIBBLE" in my posts, it's because I manually typed "TRIBBLE" and censored myself.
They may be behind the Fed and KDF but that just means they would need to be smart with what they have. Also according the Agreement of Bajor the KDF and FED agree to support theme so I can see tech trade being an option for theme as a separate power. Or the FED and KDF help theme get up to the same level they are too a point to help theme.
Right but again what's the actual point? Fleets exist for what reason anymore? To dump dilithium into projects to get new gear to do what? Fleets are missing an essential component that many other games guild systems have. Competition.
If there were some kind of fleet competition in the game, adding a new faction to oppose the others would be interesting because you could knock off your adversaries. However, STO lacks this feature. So again, what's the point of creating a new faction that can't compete with other factions that have no competition of any kind built in to the game?

Fleet wise as in Fleet with other players I do agree they need to make it where a fleet can go against another fleet of another race.
That's the thing that this game is REALLY missing. PWE, do you want to drive sales/EPEENING? If fleets had weekly battles to fight and their fleets could climb ranking boards of some kind and/or capture map territory for their faction (weekly) then people would have an extra reason to gear up.

I don't think the Galor prevents Cardassians. They will just make it the T6 Galor. Tada! I wouldn't say it's impossible we will see Cardassians. Just depends if there is a Gamma Quad expansion, and if so which direction they take it.

I'm not a fan of Cardassians.
Captain Jean-Luc Picard: "We think we've come so far. Torture of heretics, burning of witches, it's all ancient history. Then - before you can blink an eye - suddenly it threatens to start all over again."
"With the first link, the chain is forged. The first speech censured, the first thought forbidden, the first freedom denied, chains us all irrevocably."
Yup as again, someone saying that we will have playable cardassian faction. ZZZ, seriously.. . they must dream it and they think its real or something lol.
About giving them ideas? well we did that for about 5 years and most of those ideas never go anywhere. Sometimes the devs do something that accidentally matches some important ideas here and there, but more than that.. im seriouly laugh every time someone writes an idea on the forums expecting to be considered by the dev team.. its hilarious ^^
it isn't intentional but many people are sick of it being talked about as its been done to death.
Practically no point until cryptic addresses it correctly.
would be easier if cryptic had a official public content table within reason of course so they dont ruin any surprises.

It's pretty much this hard to keep just one timeline intact. ♪
