Game freeze-training day video

I recently created a new Federation character, but have been unable to proceed in the game due to the Training Day video causing the game client to freeze up. I have attempted to skip through the video, as well as deleting and recreating the character, all with no result. Any help would be appreciated.

Additional note: I have not experienced this bug previously on any other of My characters.

    i have the same issue i started playing the game again did you managed to fix this stupid freeze?

    for anyone who came here via google or forum search and still has this issue:

    the binkw32.dll was causing the freeze you have to start the launcher... wait until it patches (til engage button appears)
    then either rename the file in game location to "fuckyoubinkw32.dll" or delete it (the launcher will remake that file everytime patch runs in launcher so no worries)

    after you done that the game will run but wont play any videos (game wont freeze so its something B) )
