James Horner Plane Crash

A plane that's registered to James Horner has crashed. The pilot was killed. They haven't ID'd the body yet it seems. So far no one has been able to contact Horner.

Horner scored Star Trek II and III, and I enjoyed a lot of his other works. One of my favorite composers. :/

EDIT: Confirmed by his assistant, Horner died in the crash.

We lost a great composer. His music was unforgettable.

That's not good. :( While I don't have any of his works in my collection of film scores, this is still a sad day for the film score composing world if proven true.

    So sad. Great composer.
He shouldda had Harrison Ford with him, that guy can survive anything aviation related.

Fox News is still holding back from 100% confirming it but even their article basically admits that things look very bad. :(

It's been confirmed according to the BBC... This is just tragic... One of Hollywood's greatest composers is gone...

I hope whoever at Cryptic is in charge of updating the memorial on New Romulus is getting as tired of Star Trek alumni dying as I am.

I know there are licensing issues, but yes please, if you can get a piece of the music to play, that and his name on the plaque would be a wonderful tribute.

Well, if not the actual one, then maybe just a close copy. As long as it doesnt have that opera-like "aww awww" part you hear in sector space.

+1 to philosophere's comment. Looking at that list I'm amazed how many of those I watched and loved. Ironically, I fired up the ST:2 soundtrack at work before looking at this thread.

    What a loss.
