Cruiser comands for nandi?

Before anyone says it: Yes i know it doesn't have "Cruiser" in its name. But the D'Kora is also only called "Marauder" but considered a Battlecruiser wit Commands

I also think the Nandi would fit better in the Battlecruiser Category than in the Destroyer Category (Same for the Old Chell Grett)

So since the Nandi could be compared to a Battlecruiser i think it would benefit a lot from the Battlecruiser Cruiser commands.

The Nandi is a "Raptor" style ship (CMDR Tac) while the D'Kora is a "Battlecruiser" style ship (CMDR Eng). That's why the D'Kora has cruiser commands and the Nandi doesn't.

So if the Nandi would get cruiser commands you also would have to change the CMDR Tac to CMDR Eng - then the proposal would have a basis. The basic game rules however make this impossible if the CMDR Tac remains.

The Nandi is not a Cruiser, Battlecruiser or Raptor.. it's a Destroyer.

It's in the same class as the Chimera (only 4/4) and the Chel Grett. It would make no more sense to give it Cruiser Commands then it would a Hangar Bay.

Simply put, it would unbalance the ship and make it too powerful. Although, the fact that it has 5 Tactical Consoles and 4 Science consoles might do that by itself. That thing is going to be nasty with 5 locators and 4 embassy consoles.

Other then the Chel Grett, it's the only other 'true destroyer' available to Feds. I don't count the Chimera since it's a lifetime ship.. oh, and it sucks. :D
    Insert witty signature line here.

Always curious why ppl are so hung up on wanting cruiser commands on other ship classes, Destroyer class already has a turn point advantage over standard "cruiser" classes. Except for the veteran/dyson special ships they seem to gain the 4/4 weapons of a typical cruiser also.

PS I do wish the veteran destroyers had a 4/4 layout the dyson is a fuzzy ball of not gonna touch that :P

Requirement for Commander Eng is not set in stone, as the Tal Shair Adapted Battle Cruiser has a Commander Universal and gets the three Cruiser Commands for standard Battle Cruisers.

is the 6th bridge officer seat, the trait and Pilot specialisation not enough on top of the fact: its a free ship? why do some folk find it so hard to just say thanks, and leave good enough alone?

The Cell ship owners gain access to unique missions that provide DoFFs that sell for millions on the Exchange. They get no sympathy from me.

I thought Tuffli and the Cell ship have an expanded selection of transwarp locations? There is still some value there with the sector space revamp.

indeed.. my Ferengi worked his crew very hard to get a D'Kora, with another character airlocking many an officer, selling even more to 'who knows what' final ends, to get a Cell Ship.. thankfully the rest of my rosters are happy as pigs at a trough. at least my crazy alting has been good for something other than my frantic doff grind, balancing out my feelings of irkdom. i still feel bad for the non alt-o-holics out there though.

The only reason I'd wanted a Tuffli/Cell was the community benefit. Personally, I think the loss of the Exploration maps was a bigger hit to their community value than others having access to vendors. The Tuffli long ago became obsolete with the removal of Exploration maps, though the Cell remains useful thanks to its unique recruitment assignments, if you're of a mood to run them.

yeah the cell even lost some of its appeal when they made it so you could ships on the fly. but it does still have bank and ship selector very close to each otehr for outfitting the ships. and the doffs if you manage a purple do still bring ok amounts of EC. the discount vendor not bad but with how much they cost right now would take a long time to make back the money. i think current price is 157 million. but dont hold me too it. one thing is certine its not the 37 mil that i have seen them for some time back .

Maybe, but I wouldn't topple the system for a single exception which is additionally a lockbox ship and as such a roughly 100 buck purchase. Lockbox ships always toy with the set rules to increase gambling, sadly.
