Make in-game unlockable outfits unlock account-wide!

They have this system in Champions Online, so I don't see why we can't have it in Star Trek Online. It'd save us having to farm Loluhnat Favours for the outfit unlocks on EVERY single one of our characters. I love the unlockable swimwear for when I RP on Risa but it's annoying having to unlock outfits like that for EVERY individual character. Same goes for the Odyssey Tactical and Formal outfits.

I'd love for this as well including the Lobi uniforms but I doubt Cryptic will ever do that. It's a way to make us grind even more, but I do submit that this added grind for the same items every time over for each character we want them on does speed up the "burn-out" effect we get with STO. I've left and came back a few times already, despite me loving this game and it's events I do loathe the idiotic and monotonous grind.

If anything Cryptic, at least consider it.

I agree whole-heartedly. It'd definitely make a lot of folks happy, me included. Unlocking these outfits is an achievement that should be rewarded by having them be unlocked account-wide. If it works for Champions, it'll work here!

That would be nice. What would be even nicer is if our BOFFS could use off-duty uniforms or them to go back and change the unlockable stuff into uniforms, e.g. Ferengi merchant jacket, etc.

I wish they would do this. I might actually grind out the various swim suits and lobi store stuff rather than go "meh" and largely ignore it because of the extreme expense and the fact it will only work for one of my dozen+ characters.

+1 from me. Everything that requires more to unlock than fleet credits and dil should be account-wide.

    This would be great.

I might be the exception rather than the rule, but I think I would be more likely to buy Lobi outfits if I thought they'd be account wide unlocks.

this year its easier to get favors. so no need for account unlock clothing. one horga hunt you get 85-100 favors.

    Vote +1 for account-wide unlocks.

You can find/contact me in game as @PatricianVetinari. Playing STO since Feb 2010.

This isn't just the Lolhunat Festival outfits I'm talking about, though I'd still prefer it if they were account-wide unlocks too. I'm talking about the fleet Odyssey uniforms which are DAMN useful for RP, that Voth outfit too from the fleet spire, and the Lobi stuff.

I would totally love this! I wouldn't even complain about the fact that I've already unlocked several outfits on multiple toons.

Though, I also don't expect it to ever happen sadly.
Join date is wrong, I've actually been around since STO Beta.
True alters don't have a "main". Account wide unlocks for all unique event rewards!!

Sure, do it, and especially for lobi outfits. That said, special event gear needs to be limited to special events. When I'm doing a battle zone I really don't need to see some TRIBBLE with a parrot run by in magical frosty boots and a pair of baggies.

frost boots are AMAZING for even running around social maps like esd etc and when doing story maps that have objectives over the other side of map so tbh these are very useful all over.

I would gladly pay per BOff or have some kind of special BOff time cost to unlock it. Like a per BOff ship mastery system. I'd probably have it ding every time you use a BOff's ability in space and trigger off their ground combat damage/healing.

I would probably adjust how BOff ranks work around this, honestly, rather than having an expertise currency. Using a BOff unlocks new ability ranks. T5 unlocks a BOff trait you can assign to any other BOff, Captain rank pips for the BOff, and unlocks off-duty wear, mirroring how the more senior officers in a real military have a relaxed uniform code.

Sure it could mean you have a ship full of Captain rank BOs but TOS films had this. By Undiscovered Country, Kirk, Spock, and Scotty at least were three captain rank personnel serving on one ship and I don't think anyone else was ranked below commander.

You already got your wish. Swimsuits are limited to Risa, except for the odd tailor glitch, so you will typically not see anyone wearing string bikinis during an STF or in the battlezone.

Lobi outfit pieces probably shouldn't be account-wide, but holiday event outfit unlocks most definitely should. Grinding enough favors to get my main all the outfits last year was agonizing. I couldn't imagine doing that for alts as well. Nor would I bother, because that sucks any and all fun out of what's supposed to be a fun holiday event.

I love the frosted boots. It's the closest thing we get in this game to ground mounts for faster travel across larger maps.
    Rubberband Dance has been unlocked!
