I would be fine if they doubled or tippled the dilithium costs of upgrading and crafting if we were allowed to choose mods (100% guaranteed) on what we craft/upgrade.
Support 90 degree arc limitation on BFaW! Save our ships from looking like flying disco balls of dumb!

That wouldn't guarantee, the possibility of huge sums of dilithium leaving the market for Cryptic.
As it stands right now, the costs are far greater, than double or even triple, providing people spend it on actually crafting things!

*slaps* dont bloody give them ideas!
the prices are highway robbery as it is. dont even joke about that
choosing mods should of been in there from the get go though. so if they did raise upgrade costs because of that, people would flip.
In seriousness, I'd probably pay dilithium to override this exclusivity BS and get ALL the Risian and Breen ships. Alongside that, the merging of all costume categories into one, and specialisation seats on non-T6 craft.
Rarity upgrade and spec points are my biggest issues with this game. If i could buy spec points and rarity upgrade tokens with dil that would be great.
Transferring unpackaged lobi ships from one character to another.
This program, though reasonably normal at times, seems to have a strong affinity to classes belonging to the Cat 2.0 program. Questerius 2.7 will break down on occasion, resulting in garbage and nonsense messages whenever it occurs. Usually a hard reboot or pulling the plug solves the problem when that happens.

TRIBBLE dil, I'd pay real world money to have unlocked bridge officer seats. Meaning I can have a universal/Hybrid Lt.Commander slot on ANY ship I want.
One day Cryptic will be free from their Perfect World overlord. Until that day comes, they will continue to pamper the whales of this game, and ignore everyone that isn't a whale.
I say bring the dilithium vendors back. The NPCs are still there, might as well use them. Since R&D has replaced most of the gear they used to sell, just offer the things we can't currently get through R&D:
kit modules and frames
certain consoles (Field Generators, Shield Emitter Amplifiers, EPS Flow Regulators)
melee weapons
the special plasma weapons (Split Beam/Repeater Pistols, Wide/Piercing Beam Rifles, Long Range/Charged Burst Minigun)
I don't think this would make a dent in the exchange rate, though.
SW:TOR's "Collections" system. Would pay up to 300-400k of dil to insert a lockbox ship into it and be able to claim it on every character. The same goes for traits, rare lockbox kit modules, maybe lobi store weapons/consoles, lockbox consoles, lockbox consoles, ultrarare DOFFs(claim holographic versions) and basically every item that is not in reputations.
Would also help counter the rising inflation of dil. exchange IMO.
(and yes, I realize that in SWTOR you need premium currency for that)

I second this. The dil vendors never should have been removed, especially with the things the RnD system is STILL lacking.
Comments
IE using the Delta set but want Borg set visuals, pay dil for each cosmetic piece, slot into cosmetic slots for looks.
are we talking apart from the obvious in game stuff?
so things from cstore etc?

Yes so so this. . .

Praetor of the -RTS- Romulan Tal Shiar fleet!
Those. Very much those.
Thoughts like the above ones. Stuff you can't currently get via dil. C-Store is basically dil store with a changing rate.

Crafting is a bit different, I don't mind putting EC into crafting.
Naturally, I wish the crafting mods weren't random, but hey, so long as it doesn't have dmg some one will pay enough to recoup what you put into it.
Common to Uncommon - 500
Uncommon to Rare - 2,000
Rare to Ultra Rare- 5,000
Ultra Rare to Epic - 10,000
I would not care if it was just restricted to Rep/Event weapons. Just something guarantee a quality upgrade for my main equipment that is at UR.

Oh, and the old purple material for mirror ships.
This is exactly what I was thinking...

Also put one on other crafted items so that I don't have to change out crafting all the time.

I knew using Kinetics would be playing the game on hard mode, but what I didn't realize was how bad the deck is stacked against Kinetics.
