Pilot maneuver keybinds still not working

Forward and reverse pilot maneuvers don't work with keybinds. The maneuvers work if you click them but there's little point in being unable to use a clutch ability quickly as is needed.

I've talked to several other people having similar problems and confirmed this is not user error. The problems all involve at least one maneuver not working with the same keybind option set for all four maneuvers. Certain directions will work properly while others won't.

Waited until after the patch to post this cause you guys have a lot on your plate. Just irritated that I paid for something which doesn't work the way it's supposed to :(

I've talked to someone using the exact same ship and keybinds as I am and it works for them. Just wanted to mention that I'm not the only one experiencing the problem.

*for the record it's the Rom tac variant but it's the same problem with the other two variants.

May I ask what keybind it is you're using which you're getting this on? For example with ctrl I can't roll left and right. Knowing may help the devs track it down.

Edit: I should also clarify that the reason I can't roll left and right using Ctrl, I assume, is because Ctrl+A is the bind for rolling greed on loot. So perhaps the key you're using has a bind associated with it already which prevents it's use. If the Devs know the combination you're trying to use then they can check to see if it's a bug or a conflict.

Shift is the desired keybind but I've tried it with several other keys and nothing worked, even after I changed/removed possible conflicting binds.

Hmmm, bizarre. I just ran a quick test with shift and didn't have any issues going in any direction.

What you can do (if you don't already know) is in the keybinds window press 'Show Keyboard'. When that window is open if you press shift it should show in white any keys which use shift+ in their key combo. If your WASD keys are all grey when holding shift then it's not a conflict with an existing keybind. If they are white then hovering over them whilst holding shift will tell you what they do.

If that all comes back clear and you're still having no luck it may be worth adding your character name and @handle so if the devs see this they can check it out.

works a lil too well for me seems like they go off when I do not want them too prolly me subconsciously double tapping keys when I am playing no big deal that is why there is the option of disabling the double tap.

I may have found the problem. There are no conflicting keybinds, but when I mouse over Left Shift on 'Show Keyboard' it says "Bound to Pilot Ship Maneuver (/+roll)", which seems explain why it only goes side to side instead of forward and reverse.

Any ideas on how to add the latter two to the same key?

    *new*
Oh great...now I can't do ANY maneuvers with Left Shift. I have the same setup as before! This is so aggravating!

For some reason, when I double tap "W" my ship boosts backwards even though the description says it should go forwards.

When I double tap "S" rather than going backwards it goes forwards. I tried altering my X and Y axis thinking maybe that would fix it, but no. Changing the key binds does no good.

Please help. I need S to go backwards and W to boost forwards as is clearly stated here:

    http://www.arcgames.com/en/games/star-trek-online/news/detail/9224253-star-trek-online%3A-introduction-to-pilot-ships

Another problem, is that I like to shift my keyboard interface over to the right one key. So E is forward. S is left. D is back. F is right. It gives me more hotkey buttons to use on the left side of my hand. Also, my index finger rests on "F" which allows me to find the correct position for my hand quickly without looking if I lose my place.

Is there no way to rebind the "boost " keys to anything other than WASD?

Assuming everyone is going to use the default key layout is quite an assumption!
