AFK Penalty for no reason

I just tried to run an Undine Infiltration (Advanced). However, while protecting the orb, the priest died, leading to mission failure. I was questioning the last few guys (in retrospect, maybe not the brightest idea) when the mission failed. The game then told me that I had received and AFK penalty.

    This is an actual problem with the AFK system.

    If you don't do at least 1% of the total damage in a queue, you're counted as AFK. Most of the time, this isn't a problem.

    But since you were actively running the mission (via questioning), and other people were actively doing damage (the orb defense), the game said 'oh, the mission failed', 'oh, this guy did 0 damage, he must have been afk', and you got the AFK penalty.

    This should be looked at for at least this specific queue, where a significant portion of the start isn't about damage.

    Yeah, I think I fought one Bajoran who attacked me, but I didn't participate in the Orb Defense.

    Does it count as AFK if you sacrifice DPS to get to some of the other stuff like rescuing free borg in "Borg Disconnected" for example?

    It happened to me at least 2 times for this mission.

    Not to say it cannot happen but, it has never happened to myself, even with the mission failing at the first 10secs., of someone answering the first person incorrectly.

    So, I cannot tell you why it happens for some, while others it doesn't effect at all!!!
