I know I got stuff to do in STO but why is it like everything is standing still.... ???
You're puzzled well me too, it is all standing still...
Colosseum, Slamek is still standing there bugs unsolved.
Also other fighters can't go thru the doors because I can't open the one door and the second door I have to open is no use. When they are free they run into the slime that worm is spitting out on slamek. Then in the end they shoot before he says fire.
Surface Tension, The ferengi still going the wrong direction and with his scene you hear the ferengi but you don't see him because he is at the Federation side and not next to the romulan.
Also VO are missing you have to read instead of listening
The Undine goes after Tuvok and both disappear outside the station fighting, mostly you have to restart the mission to complete it.
Breen missions :
There stuck on gear I think last ground and space battle on Mk XIII gear they were -28 on level so that became way to easy to finish, Dreadnaught Jem'hadar T6 Strike fighter took them out in a second.
Then the Vaadwaur : They become far too easy when you have Mk XIII Purple gear. Yeah it is nice but also you won't get much XP from the battles.
And so on and so on, Drops are stuck at Mk XII Blue even with elite difficulty it just won't change. Stores only sell common goods at the station or Ds9 or anywhere else why did they change this ? Why don't they sell green or even blue ones anymore and why only Mk IX and not up to Mk XIII or even Mk XIV ....
The game changed to a grind fest I know thats old news but why because not everyone want to craft or grind and pick up scratch from battle because they changed that one too after surface tension It's basically worth nothing anymore or you sell it if Lucky at the exchange for an good price. Why didn't they remove the vendors instead all you do is sell unusefull stuff to them.
The game is now so heavily focussed on grind the fun is taken away, is it not ?
If I had to rate the game with a number now ? I would say it receive an 6.5 overall and I'm sure I'm not the only one feeling this way they are so focussed on writing the end of the Iconians it feels like they want to quit after that. I really don't hope so because it's the only trek game available in witch I love to play now and then . But just like I said they're too focused on things it is all too grindy out there there is a lot off single player stuff out there not much PVP or PVPE to do.
I just hope they gonna change this sooner or later I hope Sooner...
So what you think of the state of STO at the moment ??

HOLY BUGMANIA BATMAN!
Srsly though, stuff keeps piling up in rapid succession as of late. Most deferi/breen stuff is broken, the voth battlezone is buggy/broken, some missions/episodes are extremely buggy or outright broken too and it goes on and on and on. I know they are working on stuff and have limited time and resources but srsly it can't go on like this.
So what you think of the state of STO at the moment ??
For me it's unfinished, rushed out content. Revamp something, rush it out, fix a few superficial bugs, on to the next, while breaking properly working, existing content in the process. The next cash-grab always seems to take precendence over fixing, improving or properly implementing existing stuff. There is a German verb that pretty much describes it spot on:
annoying ones like the tray bug or graphic glitches or missing voice overs
gamestoppers....and as someone who raised 3 delta recruits in the last 2 month...played every mission multiple times...crafted like hell etc. i can say sto has no gamestopper bug atm.
and yes even the lag and/or crashes are mostly people/machine related..even if they tell you otherwise.
I play mmo's since Ultima Online...and believe me...compared to that or others, sto has basicly no bugs at all....
Not even a week ago, you posted a thread telling people to stop complaining and telling them that you don't see any bugs or problems.
Ever since then, every thread you have made has been a complaint.
If you're going to post telling people to 'stop crying' then learn to follow your own advice. According to you, the game is fine.
Not even a week ago I told in the tread a was fortunate I didn't have the lag like most people did, and I told that people had to stop complaining about stuff that already is known to people and devs except of course you have new evidence that bring the devs closer to an solution.
Also I was dissapointed to the fact they yet make another thread about playable bridges or better bridge packs which conclude complete interior, while I do agree Cryptic was clear on his statement not willing to do this because it's wasted there time and money.
And here on this thread like I said these bugs are pretty old and well there not worked on and they fixed it before but with every patch it becomes worse.
Now if I write another thread like this one and I do this another 6 or 7 times you would say hello now I know your point please stop crying about it....
Hope I made my self clear to you, thank you

I did Coliseum a couple of weeks ago for my Delta Recruit and while Slimey wasn't very helpful he did leave the arena with me so that he could whine about the bright lights and needing some yummy plant food.
Since I had no problems, I pronounce the game 100% bug free. Woohoo!

Be careful with that sarcasm 'cause there are a lot of people who'll actually take that comment for real.;)
But yeah, there is an overwhelming amount of "I have a sandwich so you can't be hungry" mentality in the community.
It's like if California and Delaware had a baby...
Wisconsin?
Anyways as to the question of what i think of the state of the game
Poor i tbh dont see this game going past 2016 in a continualey evolving game more like champions put in a maitenece mode hope the players stay.
atm we are catching the carrot aka the iconians they have always been the carrot we chased now were all of a sudden catching it.
The question is what comes after well tbh since the iconians are they ultimate bad guys in this game nothing because any other enemy old or new would pale in comparrison .
You know there are a lot of hicks, stutters, glitches, but as long as I can finish the game session, I won't complain. Not because it is fine, it ain't fine at all, but I am not here for controlling if the game works proper. So while I can play, it isn't always a good game experience.
So for some part I can agree with the OP. As a player I can live with these (minor) bugs, but I cannot understand how you as a game maker can live with them. Isn't there any pride in craftmanship? Also realize and it is in every field, we do not see all the things that are right, we do see that one little thing, that is wrong, always.
annoying ones like the tray bug or graphic glitches or missing voice overs
gamestoppers....and as someone who raised 3 delta recruits in the last 2 month...played every mission multiple times...crafted like hell etc. i can say sto has no gamestopper bug atm.

Oh really?
I ran into a bug that froze up all my Doff and R&D assignment slots for two weeks.
I'd call that a gamestopper.
Sure, STO has bugs. But so does basically every other piece of software on the planet - and even the software that's installed on the stuff orbiting us. When there's a full-crash or full-block bug, it's usually fixed as soon as they can track, build, and test a fix - and note that this is rarely a short process. When it's a cosmetic bug, it's pushed to the back burner. When it's a systems bug, it'll get prioritized according to whatever rating system they use.
I can't really complain about a lack of bug fixes. Is it every bug I've ever wanted fixed? Heck no, but that'd be unreasonable. Case in point, a couple months after I joined STO I submitted a bug related to the Romulan uniforms. Last month, it was fixed. Was the bug annoying? Of course it was, but I didn't expect that to take priority over other work.
STO isn't at a standstill. Not everything will be fixed at a timetable we'd all like, but that's just a fact of any software development and maintenance cycle. I'd be crying foul if we didn't hear anything from Cryptic. But the devs are constantly communicating with the community, and we have weekly maintenance. So just because your bugs don't make it into the patch for a couple of months, don't take that as a sign that the game's being abandoned or mishandled from a dev perspective.
The farmer had to deal with the bug infestation in the field right away. He'll trim the hedges in the backyard next week if he's not too far behind schedule. And repainting the swingset might have to wait until next Spring.

I don't know about most of the stuff the OP was on about but the coliseum arena one is not a bug, the first arena battle against the various creatures Slamek takes part but on the final battle your pretty much on your own till the prisoners join in and you have to take out the worms solo until then.
also you don't free the prisoners from the second door Slamek does so don't try opening the doors and once they are released don't expect them to be too clever they are NPC`s after all though they will help some you will still need to do most of it.
you release the prisoners from the first door but only after activating the second console.
see this video play through from may 2012 and you will see its always been this way.
I played it 3 times during the DR event and its exactly the same as ever.
as for drops you will not get anything above mk12 they want you to craft if you want above that.
same applies to venders don't expect to see any mk13 or mk14 gear there.
as for enemy being too easy when you have mk13 gear that's the whole point in upgrading, what would be the point if the NPC`s just upgraded to match you.
if you want a harder battle use mk12 or less.
When I think about everything we've been through together,
maybe it's not the destination that matters, maybe it's the journey,
and if that journey takes a little longer,
so we can do something we all believe in,
I can't think of any place I'd rather be or any people I'd rather be with.
Of course you do most of the fighting in the Arena. You're the hero, remember?
And Slamek has a vested interest in seeing you lose, so he's not going to be a lot of help. (He believes that as long as you fall, his masters will see to his healing afterward. He may be placing far more trust in Hakeev than is deserved.)
On thinking about Hakeev and Slamek, I think that they could add one thing that would make the Brea III mission even more enjoyable - let me explicitly shoot Slamek in the head, as well as Hakeev. Little barstich deserves it, and then some.
I don't know about most of the stuff the OP was on about but the coliseum arena one is not a bug, the first arena battle against the various creatures Slamek takes part but on the final battle your pretty much on your own till the prisoners join in and you have to take out the worms solo until then.

Or if you're awesome... forget about them.
I just realized that I didn't bother with them at all last time I played. I just massacred sandworms by myself. And no the mission did not glitch.
I know I got stuff to do in STO but why is it like everything is standing still.... ???
You're puzzled well me too, it is all standing still...

If you believe Cryptic's public relations chatter, "Star Trek: Online" is moving along at high speed.
If you follow news about the state of PerfectWorld, the parent company is being hit with a lawsuit. As a result of selling the company back to the original owner, PerfectWorld may have undercut the stockholders. PerfectWorld is in the process of becoming a privatized company; therefore, the allocation of resources and personal is currently underway.
"Star Trek: Online" is making some revenue; however, the numbers have not been made public.
I personally think PerfectWorld will be forced to sell either Cryptic or "Star Trek: Online". PerfectWorld is trying to get out of the American markets; thus, the company 'might' move Cryptic to China.

Lawsuits and corporate restructuring costs revenue. At some point or another, the price to play PerfectWorld's games will have to go upward.
Second, at this stage of the game, Cryptic does not need to constantly release upgrades. As a result of book-ending the Iconian storyline, Cryptic can take their time with new releases.
'Star Trek: Online' has a ton of unused content; therefore, Cryptic is most likely in the process of removing missions. Sector space revamp was a step in the right direction, for it removed a mess of old code and unused content.

Actually, not exactly. Levi & Korsinsky is doing an "investigation" to see if the offer was fair. There has been no lawsuit filed. Plus the whole situation seems more like an ambulance chaser then a real issue - if the investigating law firm can get enough Shareholders together they might file a lawsuit and try to make a few dollars.
The Shareholder vote on the offer has not even taken place yet - it will happen later in the year and it is possible the Shareholders will vote to not take the offer. Though $20.20 is a good price for a stock that was in the $14.00 range before the buy-back announcement.
"Star Trek: Online" is making some revenue; however, the numbers have not been made public.
PW made $73 million in 2014. There has been no indication that STO's income is down - other then from forumites who dislike the direction of the game has taken over the last year or two. And as I said shortly after Delta Rising came out, STO only needed to sell 8,000 Delta Packs to make $1 million over what they would have made if they never created DR or T6.
I personally think PerfectWorld will be forced to sell either Cryptic or "Star Trek: Online". PerfectWorld is trying to get out of the American markets; thus, the company 'might' move Cryptic to China.
Why would they be forced to sell? PW is still making millions per year - and if not dealing with Shareholders, assuming the buy-back is approved, they can use the millions however they wish rather then paying Dividends to all those Shareholders.
STO is about my Liberated Borg Federation Captain with his Breen 1st Officer, Jem'Hadar Tactical Officer, Liberated Borg Engineering Officer, Android Ops Officer, Photonic Science Officer, Gorn Science Officer, and Reman Medical Officer jumping into their Jem'Hadar Carrier and flying off to do missions for the new Romulan Empire. But for some players allowing a T5 Connie to be used breaks the canon in the game.

Also the first battle their shoot be a vulcan sehlat cat in the last round but when they presented the new winter event the monkey came in and never left and the sehlat is out off the picture. I know how the game should be been here from day one...

That video is how the fight against the worms is supposed to go. It doesn't go like that anymore, and hasn't for at least a year. In the video, Slamek moves away from the door that you both emerge from over to the other one. He doesn't do that now, nor does he open the other door, or any door, to release other prisoners. He stands there getting constantly blasted with worm spit, leaving a constant damage aura around him that kills the prisoners from that side, the only ones that get released now, almost immediately when they come out, after you open that door. It's bug, for certain, but one that shouldn't have any impact on finishing the task of escaping.
Also the first battle their shoot be a vulcan sehlat cat in the last round but when they presented the new winter event the monkey came in and never left and the sehlat is out off the picture. I know how the game should be been here from day one...
I've said this before, but a change is not a bug. They replaced the Sehlat with a Mugato. The only bug here is with you and your refusal to accept the change, unless you can produce a developer quote that specifically acknowledges that the change was not intended. I will continue to believe that it was intentional until that point, since they removed any reference to sehlats from the mission in both text and voiceover.
This is an MMO, not a Star Trek episode simulator. That would make for a terrible game.
