sto client

so I just started the client, started up normal, to my surprise it displays events from last year and I cant log in at all, whats going on?

    The Patch time is not up for about 20 more minutes. That is why the Red Dot is on in the Launcher.
    STO is about my Liberated Borg Federation Captain with his Breen 1st Officer, Jem'Hadar Tactical Officer, Liberated Borg Engineering Officer, Android Ops Officer, Photonic Science Officer, Gorn Science Officer, and Reman Medical Officer jumping into their Jem'Hadar Carrier and flying off to do missions for the new Romulan Empire. But for some players allowing a T5 Connie to be used breaks the canon in the game.

    It's another well-tested and player approved feature that clearly is working as intended... :D

    yea I know, but it never done this before, and earlier as I patched the game it was current

    they must be doing something to the patch server / account server.

    agree though that it is odd and is displaying different behavior to previous patches (i was just trying to DL this weeks patch before game servers are up - like i always do)

    Well, I am still using the original Launcher and it looks like it always does - including the current Iconian War banner - though it is not currently connecting to the Account Server. I assume that has something to do with the maintenance and fixing some of the login bugs many have been experiencing.

    yes the banner is the same, just the news part seems odd

    Agree here. I always load launcher 'bout 20 to 30 min B4 posted time. This may just be taking longer because they have a couple of serious bugs to fix so taking entire time.

    So like everyone else i open the launcher and it has old updates on it like.

    Season 8.5 is Live! 2014-1-30

    Anniversary Event is Live! 2014-1-30


    I know were dealing with time travel content but seriously cryptic did you have to put a flux capacitor on the launcher? :eek:

    But hey since you did we cant let this opportunity go to waste i say we all hop on the launcher and head back to 1984....or maybe the day Star Trek first came on TV and watch the very first episode ever ( i forgot the date but back in the 60s).

    Back when it was brand new :)

    Maybe he/she hasnt had thier morning cup of coffee cause as everyone knows we adults cannot function without a morning cup of coffee :)

    Well, if the launcher is showing news from last year, then perhaps Cryptic decided to roll back the game prior to the launch of Delta Rising due to a lot of complaints.

    So... great news!!! Delta Rising no longer exists and things are back to how they were in Season 9 where the max level is 50!!!!

    Of course any progress made since Delta Rising has been releases is now, "poof", gone. Including all purchases made from the C-Store, like T6 starships, because... You know... a massive rollback.

    I would assume the rollback is to get around the DX 9/11 issues so many have been having since Season 10 - though I am uncertain why they felt they needed to rollback so far.

    I dont mind the level increase if it wasnt for the insane amount of Exp needed and the rediculously low amount of Exp we earn from missions and what not.

    If they were to adjust the queues as they promised . and buff the amount of exp we earned from missions then the new level increas and DR wouldnt be so bad.

    Looks like matienance is gonna extended another hour or so. Still cannot load server, update, or even login.

    I sure hope they fix not being able to see weapons equipped on character, team, or ships. And fix the Iconian Gate missions that require ppl to see and use the gate color codes that are required to progress the mission. Its been murder since the Season 10 opening.

    There timezone just changed back 1 hour, it was 9:50 now it says 8:50 lol
