I've really enjoyed the Delta Expansion episodes, particularly with the Voyager interior. I also particularly found the redone Romulan-freighter interior in Sela's FE quite satisfying. Some of my favorite moments in STO have been when my character was interacting with others on another ship.
All this to say that, while I understand the undertaking in considerable, I would really like to see a future FE that involves the Galaxy Interior. While there are some really great Galaxy bridges (if a bit large), fans like me who grew up with TNG would love to see the Engine room set from the series (maybe even 10-forward). I am *not* asking for customizable interiors, but I would definitely enjoy roaming about the Galaxy-glass Deck 36. The engine-room scene in the first Delta Expansion mission (in Tuvok's mind) was just too cool to not imitate in other classic engine rooms.
Since such an undertaking would no doubt be expensive, I know that at I at least would be willing to pay the equivalent of a Tier-6 to be able to adopt a Galaxy interior - blue chamber, pool table, and all.
you are asking for custom interiors. Honestly I think priority on that type of art needs to go to a romulan bridge pack. Romulans only have 1 bridge for all of their ships, except the scimitar, both of those bridges are waaaaaaay to small and poor in the art work. The color pallets really suck on them. Romulans have been stuck with the same bridge and interior no matter the ship for 3 years. I think they deserve a bridge pack.
I concur with you regarding the need for new Romulan bridge set. Even if it were not released, though, an FE on a Galaxy interior would probably be well-received. The whole "new obtainable interior thing" is a suggestion to help PWE pay for the undertaking. I take custom interiors to mean adjustable hull textures, carpet, individual map/room planning, etc (like designing your ship with a foundry-based map editor). That strikes me as more of custom that just a new map, but perhaps I simply misunderstood the common meaning of "cutom interior" in the forums.
Only one man can make this happen and that is...Patrick Stewart. If Cryptic managed to get him to reprise Picard, then I could see them doing an TNG-focused feature episode(s) with the possibility of somehow getting on board the Enterprise-D. Picard in STO Lore is no longer a captain, but I'd imagine anything featuring him would have to see him take command of an Enterprise for some reason. Perhaps they could do a "All Good Things..." type of deal where you shift with him or maybe you return to the crashed saucer section on Veridian III (BTW, has any canon or non-canon source ever addressed what happened to it?) and residual Nexus energy triggers a quasi-time travel back thingy, or maybe...
...with the Iconian War arc, there's something special about the Enterprise-D computer core (due to having downloaded the Iconian program from "Contagion") that calls for you to salvage the saucer and put it onto a new stardrive section, effectively resurrecting the Enterprise-D in STO to fight the Iconians!!!!!

Although not canon, the book The Return did show Starfleet in the process of salvaging the saucer section of the Enterprise-D because of Prime Directive concerns thanks to the pre-warp culture on Viridian IV. I would believe in canon they did the same, as well as move Kirk's body back to Earth because of the same concerns over the people on Viridian IV finding either wreckage of an alien ship or the remains of an alien.
By 2409... there wouldn't be a saucer section on Viridian III. Just the scar from where it skidded to a halt.
I can't take it anymore! Could everyone just chill out for two seconds before something CRAZY happens again?!

They gave us a kick TRIBBLE galaxy model and the ship is well stated.
Major concerns: addressed.
I'd rather see them indeed build more stuff for the romulans and klingons.
