Don't listen to any of these guys. They are ALL jealous since none got a T6 JHSS. The BEST ship EVER on STO. Anything else is a copycat and irrelevant :D:D

At one point in time the Bugship was the best escort in the game but things have changed a lot since then. Namely captain specializations... A well built Phantom could mop the floor with the Bugship. I'd have to say the best escorts in game are as follows:
Phantom
Bugship
Manasa
I own all three and they each have a place they excel at, all three have amazing traits that are useful for any escort.
I'm not sure the Bugship was worth the $100 I spent to get it though, mostly just a toy to brag about. Although the trait is pretty sweet for old fashioned escort builds.
Probably not a PvP list if the Scimitar is on it...like, at all. reason being, the Scim has a well-deserved rep in PvP as "easy meat".
(Something about being too slow to get out of it's way and nowhere near tough enough to get away with that.)
By definition, any list of "Best ship" that includes the Scim is a PvE list. T'Varo and Faeht are decent base material for PvP-they're at least viable there.
PvP is a different environment-there's really nothing you can buy or install for your ship that will let you win a match while simultaneously watching Netflix and texting your online internet girlfriend.
Thats why I asked. He put intel ships on the fed which I quoted which doesnt qualify for the peak performance of any offense in PvE for Fed Ships.
for all we know the poster may intended it to be both pvp and pve because put faeht and scimitar in the list. Thats why I quoted the fed side since it doesnt qualify the top PvE ship and are listed as all intel ships.
In terms of playing the new content, my 'best' ship is my T6 Fleet Intrepid. I'd like to say that it's my trusty Fleet Rhode Island (Nova) but as much as I love that little ship, she doesn't hold up against the Heralds as well as the [T6] Fleet Intrepid does.
Let's start a campaign to get Rhode Island T6s. They are working on Intrepid T6s though, right? If so, it'll do in a pinch.
I love my Ambassador class ship. I have lockbox ships, and ships I've spent cash on (my Galaxy class is still so pretty), but I always go back to that Ambassador. I know you guys are talking about *best* ships, but I think she's still a well balanced, all around good ship.
The problem with answering the op's question really comes down to semantics.
The ideas of best and perfection are relative terms. for example, if you live in an area where falcipora malaria is prevalent, the gene sequence that produces sickle cell anemia is the possibly the best means to insure survival to reproductive years. If you live anywhere else though, it has no survival benefit, meaning that the deleterious effects of the syndrome outweigh the benefits.
So in answer to the question which ship is best, I have to respond, "best at what?"
All of the higher end ships have their strengths--but if you want a fast moving in-yer-face attack vessel, you don't want a tanky hulk. If you like tanky-hulks, you don't want a low hit point fast attack vessel.
I recently did a hard core comparative analysis of all 4 xindi vessels, and all of them have good reason to want to get them, but they still may not fit the op's idea of best. for all their great qualities, I don't see any cloak in there, so forget the backstab attacks.
in looking at the earlier posts here, it struck me as odd that a couple of the ships named as 'best' I did not like at all, and rushed through their mastery just to get the starship trait and get out of that piece of junk--which only reinforces my point.
Scimitar hasnt held the DPS title for than a month now. It belongs to FPER. Fortunately for us, The one that did FPER also has a scimitar in record, in parse.
Assuming the same pilot, The FPER is 6 to 5 advantage over Scimitar in terms of DPS base on Ryans 120k FPER parse and 104k Scimitar parse.
The Scimitar is just the best all around ship due to the Valdore console + Extremely High DPS.
Is this PvP list? cause if it is PvE. FPER t5u > all ships in terms of DPS
From what I've heard about that record run, it was a pretty specific coalescence of conditions that got the FPER over the top. It's not often that you'll pug (or even premade) a queue and other people will avoid targets so that someone else can GW them for you to Nadion bomb at exactly the right moment.
I have a toon in a FPER and another toon in a Scim. The Scim has battle cloak, a hangar bay with the best carrier pets in the game, can run SI and as many SRO as you want, and an extra fore weapon slot. The FPER has the bomb. It's nice spike damage, but it's not enough.
Nope, the c-store patrol refit is the nadion bomber, but the fleet doesn't get the console, but does have slightly better armour and an extra console slot.

Aha, the Nadeon Bomber?
Heh, yeah, there's just something goofy/funny about saying the DPS record was set using Nad Saturation...
