My friends, its time.

The galaxy fans have finally gotten their dream boat, and now we nebula fans must take the lead in asking for, no, demanding a better nebula.

No longer should we suffer in silence forgotten by our devs, and forsaken by our artists. Our tachyon arrays demand justice, and our sensor pods demand vengeance.

Join me my brothers in arms, join me in the fight for a tier 6 nebula. We deserve it. We demand it.

Ask not what your nebula can do for you, but what you can do for your nebula.

Can we haz the first 2 dedicated commander ship? Commander science and commander universal. To reflect the multi-mission pod thing.

My T5 Nebula was a great ship, my PvP boat towards the run up to DR. I'd be happy to have a Nebula with the following layout:

    Cmdr Sci
    Lt.Cmdr Eng/Intel
    Lt.Cmdr Tac/Pilot
    Lt. Uni
    Ens Uni

    3/3 weapons
    3/5/3 consoles
    Secondary deflector
    Hangar
    Sensor analysis

Mastery trait would grant something like a perma FBP1 independent of FBP boff activations, so they can stack. Oh make the trait FBP un-subnucable. That seems pretty OP.

And the console... how about a tachyon cascade resonance thingy? Make it send out a beam that bounces from hostile target to target, regardless of cloaked status. The beam paints the enemy ship with a target icon for 10 seconds and disables all clicky consoles. Make it worse by letting Aux power improve it all the way up to 20-30 seconds.

While that would be pretty optimal for me, I described a probable T6 Vesta. A new nebula will probably suck...

    Cmdr Sci
    Ltc eng
    Ltc uni/intel
    Lt tac
    Ens Sci

    Sensor scan
    Sub system targeting.

Standard Sci ship mastery, tier 5 grants tachyon beam the ability to chain to nearby targets.

    Console: Advanced sensor pod

Grants bonuses to accuracy, flow caps, and sub space decompiler. Grants High energy scan, disables aux sub system on target and applies a damage resistance debuff.

Console set bonus with other nebula consoles.

2 piece, tachyon field powers reduce nearby by enemy shield hardness

3 piece, grants unstable tacyon field, chance to apply fbp when attacked.

Not to be a downer but most posts demanding/calling for/rallying for X Ship to be introduced tend to fall on deaf ears, *cough* typhoon *cough* K'vort *cough*

The creators make the ships they choose to make, when they want to make them and if they think it will be profitable. There are many canon ships not in game, and make ships in game that could be refitted to T6, but whether that happens is up to them.

    Not quite.

    Galaxy
    Negh'Var
    D'Deridex

Granted, it was a long road to see these to T6 but the Galaxy in particular had a very colorful history in trying to get that ship to be more relevant.

The Negh'Var was brought up by Cryptic to get a new version as far back as January of 2014. It was unseen until just now and was something as a running joke among the KDF playerbase. The KDF would get something "when the new Negh'Var hits."

I would like to see tire 6 shuttles with 3 fore weapons slots.

    Imagine that!!!:P

It could be used to make shuttle events more playable, if nothing else.

Well if you look at the Zen store you already have 3 different T6 Science ships to choose from:

    http://sto.gamepedia.com/Dauntless_Class_Experimental_Science_Vessel

    http://sto.gamepedia.com/Scryer_Intel_Science_Vessel

    http://sto.gamepedia.com/Eclipse_Intel_Cruiser

And then if you look at escorts you only have ONE I REPEAT ONE T6 ship:

    http://sto.gamepedia.com/Phantom_Intel_Escort

So as the Eagles use to say: "when hell freezes over" you will get another science ship...

Forgot the Pathfinder. Fed has an embarrassing amount of riches when it comes to Science vessels.

While we are due T6 escorts - I think the most likely choice for the next ship would be a dedicated T6 carrier - as outside the Breen holiday ship, there isn't a 'faction carrier' released yet.

Though there does need to be some escort love.

Back to the Nebula though, it would be amazing if it came as '1.5 pack' - The tac pod gave it a 4/2 weapon layout, the science pod gives it 3/3 but enhanced sensors, the 'warp pod' gives it faster warp drive and maneuverability...

Yep, this I would love, however, I have a feeling the Nebula will go the route of 3 Lt slots, so

    Commander Science
    Lt. Commander Engineering
    Lt. Tactical
    Lt. Universal
Lt. Science (or possibly another Universal)
    Fleet Advanced Research Vessel T6
Commander Science, Lieutenant Commander Engineering, Lieutenant Commander Universal, Lieutenant Tactical, Ensign Science

If they follow the route of the T6 Galaxy, with its command hybrid seat, then the Nebula could get an Intelligence hybrid seat. It would fit in with its mission profile somewhat.

Consoles will be identical to Fleet T5U Nebula: 2 TAC, 4 ENG, 5 SCI

That's exactly what's going to happen with its T6 BOFF seat. There's a minor chance it will get a LtCdr TAC instead but considering the console alignment, I think this unlikely.

It will probably have a new console to make a 3 piece set to go with the Tachyon Detection Grid & Field Consoles from the lower tiered Nebulas.

Edit: Hybrid Station? None of the ported T5->T6 ships have Commander Hybrid stations. So the LtCdr ENG will get the Hybrid seat and that's a very tough sell, IMO.

I could deal with a T6 Neb'. I loved using it until about season 8 when it felt more like a liability than as assett in groups. As far as the T6 sci ships go, I'd like to see a more tanky sci ship than whats offered, and thats the place holder the Neb' had in T5. I really like the idea of a science-cruiser, and this is about as close as we'll get in STO.

Agreed, the ships best saving grace was its engineer/cruiser like setup. Hybriding the LCMDR boff sort of gimps it.

I based my boff layout on the new galaxy. Since they share quite a bit of parts it made sense.

I alsa want a nebula dreadnaught.

Currently on my Fleet Nebula, I can pull off two BO2's .
Sure, it may not be as DPS efficient as FAW-ing your way to victory , but not Evey ship has to do that .

I love the DBB frontal offensive posture with BO's, as it's better then what the Galaxy had (prior to it's T6 facelift) , and I don't want that to go away as some of the builds here suggested .

... just remember that the Nebula was playable when the Galaxy wasn't . Don't move away from that ...

The Nebula Class a very underated ship in this game. Extremely capable and deadly in the right heads and in my option, forget the Vesta, Nova, Intrepid, Luna classes shes the best Federation sci ship in the game.

I can't get the same level of performance out of any other sci ship that i can the Nebula.

She has it all, Tanking, Science and is capable of very good DPS builds despite only having 2 tact consoles. My current Fleet Nebula has been clocked multiple times breaking 20k DPS.

i've flown all the others mentioned and none compare to this majestic girl.

Tier 6 Nebula "i'd buy that for a dollar"

To be honest, a Tier 6 Nebula isn't that unlikely. Cryptic have already made half the assets required for it since it shares the exact same pylons, nacelles, saucer as the Galaxy. Only thing they'd really need to create from scratch would be the engineering hull if they were to use the CGI model as inspiration.

A T6 Nebula with Venture and/or Andromeda parts would be a very welcome sight. I have nothing to base this on, but I'd like to see a d'd layout with two LTC stations and intel specialization since the ship was said in canon to be capable of a "schleichfahrt" mode (hence no visible impulse trails).

    LTC Tac/Intel

If they used the studio model they'd still need to make the secondary hull, and pylons, since they aren't exactly the same: Galaxy #1; Galaxy #2; Nebula #1; Nebula #2.

The saucer rim thickness and the RCS thrusters are also sufficiently different enough too.

That would actually be pretty nice. Albeit, I have no interest regarding the scheichfarht mode though. I do wish they upped the inertia 5 points though, either that or upped the impulse modifier, but hats nust a preference.

I said in my earlier reply to this thread that LtCdr TAC was a possibility. But when you look at the Console alignment of the Fleet T5U Nebula, it makes that highly unlikely. 2 TAC? Very unlikely to happen. It seems in STO, Low TAC Console ships at 2 pretty much don't get LtCdr TAC in this game. Which is why I doubt T6 Nebula will very likely not get it. If anything, the Ensign SCI station gets upgraded to Lieutenant.

I would be one of the first in line to buy a T6 Nebula.
    :)
I used the retro fit nebula from lvl 20 - 30 on my Delta recruit (first ship I ever bought in game many moons ago). It was a pleasure getting to fly it again.
My T5 retrofit, has been docked for a very longtime now (on my main), which is a terrible shame.

Could we also have torpedoes come out the front of the pod. They already come out the back, and I know there's supposed to be a launcher above the deflector, but its hardly visible, and would look so much better going over the saucer.
