Starship Trait: "Improved Temporal Insight" When activating a Hull Heal on self, gain 4sec of Damage Immunity (max once per 45sec)
It's the same problem we had with Rock & Roll (which y'all acknowledged
here) - this ability can be used to vape FBP users with 100% reliability, and not take retaliation damage.
Let's say I'm a vaper, and I want to blow up an FBPer. I pop a hull heal, then fire fully buffed SS3 at the FBPer. FBP hits the damage immunity, FBPer dies, I don't.
Please include an exception for reflected damage in the damage immunity provided by Temporal Insight - otherwise, this trait will render FBP, Haywire, Nukara shield, doffed Polarize Hull, and the Nanoprobe Feedback trait obsolete.
Comments
Devs already said they would consider changing fbp to travel at beam speeds vs its current "torpedo" speed return. If that change is implemented,it would make the "Vaper" immunity not a problem.

p.s. i'm not coming back to this thread to argue with you. just be aware that your argument is invaild.
I reserve the right to have a completely different standpoint depending on my mood.

But your concern is appreciated. Misplaced as it may be.
Shouldn't this be in the PvP forum to get Temporal Insight pre-emptively nerfed from PvP whiners?
A very good answer to OP trying to "nerf" the new not introduced yet new trait .................

Dont nerf the trait...Just do fbp at beam speeds and call it a day.Problem solved.

No, your argument is invalid. If there's a counter to the counter, then the first counter might as well not exist. FBP exists to permit countering of instakill energy damage. If someone capable of inflicting instakill energy damage is also capable of making himself invulnerable while dealing it... then any power that exists to counter instakill damage is irrelevant.
This makes FBP, Haywire, Nukara shield, Nanoprobe Feedback, and doffed Polarize Hull 100% obsolete. Fortunately, the devs have already recognized this issue with regard to Rock & Roll and damage reflect powers like the ones listed above. I imagine they'll make the same call when it comes to Temporal Insight.
Proper energy vapers can kill their targets before they can pop Rock & Roll, which provides the same kind of damage immunity Temporal Insight does. The only way such targets have of countering such vapes, is damage reflection.
If the vaper happens to be immune to all damage, and thus immune to damage reflection, the vaper can kill his target every time, with 100% effectiveness. FBP becomes irrelevant, as do all other damage reflect powers.
For someone who says I'm not a threat, you sure try hard to oppose me when I point out obvious weaknesses in balance that might upset your ability to vape.
