Cant Sign In

For some reason I can not sigh into the game again after the update it says the server are ready but when I try and sign in it says that the sign in attempt has timed out and it just sits there for 3 seconds. This is the 5th time I have had to report this issue.

    I'm getting an unable to authenticate error and can't log in to STO, too.

    I was just on Tribble without a problem. I had logged off of there and tried to get to Holodeck since I saw about a dozen of my friend list log in.

    Since this is the main log-in that I can't get past, I can't even get back to Tribble or Redshirt. : (

    Anyone goten any help with this can not authenticate problem at log in yet?

    seems they laid off the wrong people... prolly laid off someone who is holding a grudge, hope its not like when PWE took over STO an security was a complete joke for 3 months, guys jus to be safe you may wanna keep an eye on your account activity over the new few weeks.

    Was trying the new feature episode. Got stuck-respawned on a balcony, tried to beam up and rerun from the checkpoint, there were no checkpoints, and some moments later I've got logged off.
    Since then, I'm getting 'Connection to the account server timed out'.

    Same thing here, have been able to get around this in the past with the reset password option, did not work this time.

    I am having the same issue, unable to authenticate and connection time out. This happens if I try to launch the client through Steam or through Arc.

    Same here, I have been trying to get in for over half an hour now.. no succes

    Unable to autenticate: Connection to the accountserver timed out is the only thing I can get

    Correction- am able to login, am now stuck at retrieving list of characters "login2_timeout" almost there!

    I'm still stuck on loading screen although the authentication now worked.

    Also stuck on "retrieving character list"

    ... and also respawned on balcony before - which broke the whole mission... why i even bother anymore with this game ... eh? :mad:

    Sucess! Am currently logged into sector space xD followed imediately by an explosion of re-accolades.

    Yup, at the gathering character info screen forever and then timeout. Patch day failure for Cryptic. SOP.
    Sometimes I think I play STO just to have something to complain about on the forums.
