I just made eleventy-billion EC and I learn't it off a Mom from Kansas...

Sorry Tamujiin, you lost any respect people would have had from your initial post wording and literally offensive style against the people who populate these forums. If you write with a style that comes across as superior and bragging, then you'll cop flak for it. Not really sure why you are surprised by that, or even blaming those who call you out for being a braggart.

Heat? This is a PRIME example why community moderators and Developers dont comment on posts. Because you have people trolling the forums trolling people who try to say hey, here it is without sharing everything.

IF i shared everything we do. We couldnt do it, because then everyone would do it, and it would ruin the market.

It is not hard to make 1,000,000 dilithium a week. Most players, who read this and won't comment know exactly what i am talking about.

I dont get the idea how you think i am arrogent, from a forum thread. One. Its typing, i love how people judge people via typing. Communication is 90% body language, 10% of whats being said.

I can see now why certain "troll fleets" have friends in the devs... maybe because they are trolling the people who do really deserve it... i don't know. I really try to respect that and stay out of peoples buisness.

Here i am, simply saying to the community, this game is not hard, and no you do not need to spend money on it if your patient.

And BOOM...I am arrogent, i am a troll, because i like to have fun and share a bit of info with the community.

In the end, i think the COMMUNITY MANAGERS could use a lesson in other forums how they deal with negativity.

Rob. AKA the Darkone, over at The Nexus Mod site.... the community managers could take some pointers on how to cut down on the negativity on these forums, and give them the apperance they want.

    Positivity. Not 99% negativity.

But then again, i have to remember, most NEGATIVE people have short attention spans, and don't play games they cry aboot all day long for long. They do get replaced by POSITIVE PLAYERS.

As far as this FORUM goes, i wont be using it anymore. Sorry for the mis confusion about me being arrogent.

Sorry the lot of yah, can't tell the difference between arrogence and pride for something i like to do.

I do not come to the forums looking for approval from anybody. I was going to start using the forums to actually share information i know, that i share with my fleet. Alas, seems like Reddit or something else might be a bit more "POSITIVE" then these forums.

Yes i am KNOCKING players who are negative. Why? because i have PRIDE in a game i like to play. I support the COMMUNITY MANAGERS and the place CALLED CRYPTIC, when i did not in the past.

But i did what i came here to do. Show my fleet how negative it is around here. And do not believe the nay sayers and TRIBBLE on the forums about the game dying or whatever.

I am also fully aware now about the hacking issues of Dstahls account, on twitch and other areas of the STO community from a player who will remain unamed on the forums, as it constitutes a ToS violation.

That one is not for the community. That one is for the Community Managers. This stuff as we all know get plasterd off forum, and this is how i know it, i go digging. I google stuff.

The better Bureau for Buisness Score for Cryptic is a C now and it used to be a strait up F.

Plenty of cryptic employess have posted anonomysly at sites explaining the pros and cons for working for cryptic. I go digging for this stuff because i see a lack of cooperation between the teams in this game developing it and i wanted to know what is going on.

Maybe apply for a job here..... which i think i might do, just for the heck of it, and see where it goes.

Sure, multi-boxing with some number of klingon alts (20+?), using private bridge invitations.

My singular PC is too gimp for that.

Trying to do it otherwise leads to those annoying loading screen CTDs emerging as a significant portion of your time spent playing.

Sounds like you're satisfied with the status quo because you've found methods of effectively bypassing the restrictions Cryptic has put in place to squeeze players into purchasing zen. It also sounds like you think the game would improve if only Cryptic would crack down on the negative reactions players have to the game, nevermind actually addressing the underlying causes for those reactions.

I keep coming back to how Blizzard didn't seem to let that get in the way of their making boatloads of money.

Cryptic could take a few pointers from the (still) industry leader.

Is that what Cryptic is telling themselves these days?

Blizzard didn't settle for that little.

Well you did say, multiple times, how great you and your fleet is, the fleet that you lead, which by extension is just re-affirmation of how great you think you are.

And promptly followed it up the first time you mentioned how great your fleet is with a statement that you're not accepting new members.

    Pretty standard troll fare.

What you're failing to appreciate is that the haters want to see Cryptic make Blizzard money.

But Cryptic does everything they can to avoid even coming close.

The amount of revenue they've left on the table just to chase some ever-dwindling number of whales must be astounding.
    tamujiin wrote: »
Cryptics employees, past and present have commented on plenty of other websites about the infighting with-in this company.
That's a major issue. I'm sure they've lost some great talent, and held onto some really mediocre employees, as a result. Their corporate culture is tone deaf, and self-defeating.

A great social group can make even the most rudimentary POS MMO enjoyable. It's 100% disassociated from the game itself. You're also in an extreme minority; I can't even imagine the pitiable state most fleets are in, based on what I've seen from accepting random fleet invitations on my alts just to stop the constant fleet invite spam.

Oh, and you're not accepting new members.

The idea behind the random invite is it has a decline button. It is an invitation only. You can turn that off in your privacy settings, so you do not recieve random fleet invites on your alts.

I support it as i have recruited a lot of fine players this way. I could ask that they post on the forums, but i wont, as i can defend myself here.

The key there, is there are a lot of NEW PLAYERS in the game. Why would i want to risk the chance of them joining some negative TRIBBLE fleet just to be turned off by the game because it has a steep learning curve?

The idea about the haters want Cryptic to make Blizzard level money?

Never happen, because this is a FREE TO PLAY GAME.

And no, i do not rotate 20+ Kdf toons for free contraband, i just buy it off the exchange, because it isnt expensive at all.

I can see a guy log in for two hours a day, make his dilithium, craft, play some and walla.... he goes lives his life outside the game, and comes back in the evening...... And when he wants to, because he supports the game he likes to play, spends money on it. He even bought a lifer sub, cause he likes the game..... wow.

Why? because cryptic set it up like this for people who want to remain f2p and do the grinding the way they want to....

I guess instead of not posting on the forums, i could just remain arrogent until i get banned from them, and ignore the nay sayers. As it is inevitably up to the community managers if i belong here or not. Not the negative players, or the forum trolls.

It's hard for people to face the truth, it's easier to pick on someone rather than actually read what was posted and intended.

I'd love for us all to get along, but it's too easy to hide behind a relatively anonymous screen-name and type whatever you want to belittle somebody.

The Cyber-bullying is rediculous. If you don't like what someone has to say, make a logical post and have a conversation. There is no need to simply belittle someone and call them names for no reason.

I have not used these forums in the past before this thread for that reason. I will, however, defend someone whom I have personally witnessed helping others both in and not in their fleet.

    You just described me. :)

I also play sporadically, sometimes taking 6 months off when things get boring or I want to focus on something else. The nice thing about that is coming back to find new things to do, new features and improvements, etc.. The downside is sometimes the changes are radically different and I need to re-learn how to do stuff. LOL.

I had no problem with the back story or anything like that with Tovan Khev. Thought it was good how it was done.

Thank you for proving my point in less than 20 minutes.

The number of posts doesn't matter, it's the content. Anyone can make a random post of nonsense.

Lol, i so want to issue order 12345, and have the fleet start commenting on this thread now for fun.

Alas, some cards are better left unplayed.

Here this one is for Cryptic.

Yes you do have Active fleet leaders who support your game, knowing the issues you have, are not technically the people who work on the games fault today.

I am sorry we do not post more often. It is because of this right here. The negativity and unwilliness for people to actually read things on the forums because you DO need to come down more on the negativity on the threads.

I will make a commitment to have the good people start fighting the good fight against this kind of shtuff. Without trolling or negative comments.

You guys do do a good job, considering the community, past managers and such have created, or to paraphrase that.... The TRIBBLE you guys are addressing from the past that needs to be addressed.

One thing you should be aware of. I personally do not fall into the trap trolls can create. I dont hang out on forums that are used to bully people like Reddit.com, or this one.

Why? Because i do not enjoy seeing people get bullied like The guy that can prove our point in 20 minutes or less.

You know nothing of us, because we do not put ourselves out there like that. simply because of the reputation THIS forum has, when it comes to negativity.

Well guess what... Here we come.

with no fleet invitations for proof, how do we not know you are one manning your awesome fleet and all the "supporters" that have posted are simply alt accounts of your own creation?

nobody really cares how much EC you make in a day, or how much dil you make in a day, or how awesome your fleet supposedly is.

By declaring how super fantastic everything to do with you is on the forums you are opening yourself up for a world of criticism, butthurt and ridicule.

If you had freely explained exactly how you were making all this ec / dil / whatever, offering fleet invites you may well have ended up with the awesome thread you so very obviously tried to make in the first place

See here is the deal, i know what i know, and cryptic knows what they need to know.... what you guys "think" you know, you don't really know, because your know it alls.

    That my friends, is trolling.

Why should i bring my fleet into this drama, your misconseptions, have created?

Oh look.... see, get ahold of me in game, come see us.

Get ahold of me in game and ask for a channel invite to the Infinite Alliance channel. Come into my realm and see how i am a solo player. I'll introduce yah to the guys and gals i play with.

We dont invite to the main fleet as it is full, we do have alternate fleets we contribute too, to generate fleet credits and actually help people who like the game.
