KDF bridge officer quality downgrading

I've purchased several purple KDF boffs from the exchange over the past few days and after commissioning them, they show as blue on the status window. They show as purple on the exchange and in the candidate roster window, but after commissioning they show as blue. Anyone else having this issue?

edit: This appears to only be happening with Lethean and Gorn boffs.

    This has been going on with Letheans for at least a year now, maybe longer. Gorn have never truly had a purple BO since they never get 2 "superior" traits because of the mandatory gorn racial traits, so they will show as purple quality for the skills they have, but once commissioned they revert to blues.

    Yeah, I thought I was imagining it for a long time. At least now I know to stop wasting time trying to get a purple Gorn bridge officer thanks for the info.
