I'm going to maintain a centralized list of items which can't be upgraded in game (forgive me if this has been done before). Please post items here and I'll keep this first post up to date.


SPACE GEAR

Impulse:
  • Dynamic Reroute Impulse Engines. Revert to standard impulse engines, losing the special 'Dynamic Reroute' ability.

Weapons:
  • Bio-Molecular Warhead Launcher
  • Piercing Tetryon weapons - from 'Installation 18'. Loses all mods, turns into regular tetryon weapon
  • Vaadwaur Cluster Torpedo
  • Wide Angle Voth Transphasic-Chroniton Launcher


GROUND GEAR

Armor:
  • Chromodynamic Armour
  • Veteran EVA suits


Shields:
  • Personal Mobility Shield -- can be slotted, but converts to a standard Personal Shield

Weapons:
  • Breen Polaron Compression Pistol - from the Breen bridge officer
  • Hirogen Tetryon Blast Rifle
  • Kri'stak Blade
  • Nanopulse Edge Bat'leth
  • Nelen Exil's Wide Beam Pistol
  • Polaron Full Auto Rifle [Rch] -- reward from Forging Bonds, full auto with a faster recharge time on the secondary fire
  • Seleya Ceremonial Lirpa
  • Shard Sword of Kahless

    Add Zero-Point conduit (from romulan reputation)

    After any upgrade, bonus proc to critical chance are no longer working on most (95%) of maps (item tooltips say bonus exist, but ship stats screen say this console do not add anything to CrtH). If anyone do not believe, please upgrade console and look at ship info screen (equip it and unequip it few times...)

    Since bonus to CrtH is main reason to use this console, any upgrade make it useless.

    Anyway, it is old bug, reported many times...

    The "Romulan Disruptor Wide Beam Pistol" from the Reman Science Officer Candidate (mission reward from "Cutting the Cord") does not appear to be upgradable.

    I cannot upgrade the PVP reward from years ago......Covariant mk x shield x3 cap
    Today we fight the GAULS......monstrous and HAIRY beyond reason.

    The normal white mark 10 voth transphasic-chronitons aren't upgradable either, but I rather gather this is intentional. Though I wish it wasn't since it's basically impossible to acquire the other version without spending five hundred dollars.
