T6 Bridges (and Bridges in general)

I am greatly enjoying playing the new T6 ships, particularly the new Command Battlecruisers. However I have one thing I don't like about them - the choice of bridges available. I know this is very minor but it's frustrating that I can't choose the one of the Defiant-style bridges for the new Battlecruisers (Strategic/Victory/Defiant/Vivid specifically). I consider these the ideal bridges stylistically for these new ships and am surprised that these aren't a choice when customizing my ship. Strangely I can choose one of these for the Guardian Cruiser. I just don't understand why they're available for one and not the other.

While we are on the topic....I really wouldn't mind seeing some new bridges available for purchase or as veteran rewards. Similarly, I would love to see some more custom bridges on new ships (the Aquarius bridge unique to the Odyssey is one of my favorite bridge designs). I also wouldn't complain if someone did some modifications to the scale on the existing bridge designs as we all know they are slightly larger than they should be at various points.

The Defiant bridges fit smaller ships more. For a Command ship I'd think a larger bridge would be a better fit. Make it feel more like a command ship. Something along the lines of the Galaxy or Sovereign bridges.

And unfortunately there isn't much demand for new bridges. The current ones aren't selling as well, and we don't really have the functionality to really use our ship interiors. I remember them saying the scaling was to accomidate the camera, but something was fixed with the Belfast and Constitution bridges. At best we'll see unique bridges for c-store/lobi ships, but without full interiors until more functionality is somehow provided. Right now there just isn't much reason to use them other than RP and as a hangout. Heck... the Romulan bridge doesn't even have any spots for trophies, and we haven't gotten any new ones as far back as Season 8!

Yeah, its a shame the Bridge, which was such a heavy focus of the TV show that spawned the franchise, is an undeveloped part of the game

but for the reason pointed out above, i think we are unlikely to see much work other than new bridges to fit the themes of new vessels, or one off's like the voyager interior ( which i have and love for every ship i own simply because it has normal sized corridors )

I really wish we could have gotten special bridges. especially for the intel ships, considering they're such a radical departure in design from standard fed ships. for now i just use the defiant bridges.

i would like to even see bridge packs make a triumphant return, but above all. seriously give rommies some bridges they've only got the scimitar and the standard romulan bridge unique to them

I think we saw some Romulan ship interiors in TOS as well as TNG. I can see a D'Deridex Bridge pack.

It is a shame that Ship missions don't exist since there are far too many Star Trek episodes that are only on the ship.

Agreed

But then i guess playing devils advocate for cyrptic, they kind of shot themselves in the foot by allowing us to choose non-faction vessels

If they had kept to starfleet/KDF/RR manufactured vessels then a common "one size fits all " template could work. But throwing into the mix something like an Undie Nicor makes it too difficult to make interior missions work for all players

The least they could do is provide the foundry with a better set of interior maps and or props to allow us to create our own missions if we so choose

I once played a Foundry mission where someone used what was available to recreate an NX bridge. And it was pretty decent.

Sounds interesting, Bet the author had a lot of patience to make that
