That's not all - apparently the devs have also fixed the problem of missions not showing up in the Top 3 if they have interstitial dialogue before the first map.
All of my missions have such interstitial dialogue, and tonight I noticed one of them ("Ghosts of War, Part V") in the Top 3 at Wolf 359.

Are you sure Pax? I'm not seeing two of my missions (which have the dialog issue) that I know are well rated and are at a 'remote' system. Heck, the 'Top 3' mission option doesn't come up at all. But this is a system that has only one Cryptic mission tied to it and the 'System Info' box doesn't even show unless the mission is active.
But even after picking up the mission (to show the 'system info' box), no 'Top 3' list appears.
Are you sure Part V of your series has a dialog lead-in? :P

If it makes you feel any better, I have two missions that don't have any pre-system dialog and one shows up but the other doesn't. So the bug may be more complicated.
Honestly, there was no way a system this complex was going to work perfectly out of the gate.
It looks fantastic, glad to see them up there. Some are less than three, I'm wondering if there are just a few, does it list all our doors it show a percentage, so if there are 9 there will be three but if there are six there will show two?
I love the new system, I am glad Cryptic is making more Foundry content visable to players.

Looks like there's still some issues with the Top 3 system. Some systems don't even have any showing up (I checked a few that my missions are set at).
Just playing normally yesterday I picked up missions from two different systems, ones I had never stumbled onto with the old Foundry search. So great work on this feature, apparently there are still some issues, but it seems like a huge improvement over how we had to find missions before.
I hope something can eventually be set up for missions that start in the social hubs. As it is, I'm feeling like I should move my starts out into sector space (which maybe isn't a bad thing!).

Star Trek declared a hope for a future that nobody stuck in the present could believe in. For all our struggles today, we haven’t outgrown the need for stories like Star Trek. We need tales of optimism, of heroes, of courage and goodness now as much as we’ve ever needed them." -Thomas Marrone
Does anyone know if KDF any missions are working with Top 3? I decided to hit every system in Omega Leonis (I think, anyway) and a good chunk of Pi Canis a little while ago and no missions popped up. I know there are fewer KDF missions than Federation, but I was surprised that nothing came up at all.

I suspect that's because there are fewer KDF missions in general, and several of the ones I've played start on Qo'noS.
Also, I noticed that missions that have you start in a social zone, won't turn up as part of Top 3. I checked to see whether "Bait and Switch", which first has you report to Admiral Marconi on DS9, would appear on the Malon system and it doesn't: there's no missions at Malon.

i saw one pop up at donatu last night; don't remember the name, though, and it's probably gone by now

From what we know, missions are excluded if you have any objectives on a social map. Starswordc's example is a good one. He has the player talk to an admiral on ESD before you actually go into a map. We were told before the systems went live that it would exclude missions that had pop-up dialogue after the accept window. Thankfully they seem to have overcome this.
Spotlight missions also seem to be excluded. Personally I'm not bothered by this as spotlights get plenty of attention anyway.
Missions do need to qualify for rewards in order to show up. If you need help getting those first plays, please post in this forum. We're starting a Foundry Strike Team to help authors get plays on their new missions.
As for KDF, yes there does not seem to be many out there yet. I suspect the majority of missions start on Qo'nos. I know my non-spotlights do (but that's for story reasons and not convenience). There are also plenty of worlds that are Fed doors that have no missions either. It is my hope that this system, plus the upcoming sector space revamp, will encourage more authors to set their missions out in the 'verse as opposed to ESD consoles.
Wow, I really love the new system with Foundry missions in Sector Space, it really highlights the foundry.
My mission "Beckon Me Unto Beacons" is located at the Cernan System in the Regulus Sector Block. It is the only mission that shows up there. The patrol missions are all GONE! With this new system my mission went from 25 reviews to 71 reviews. It took 5 months to get to 25 and less than a week to get to 71, awesome amount of plays for a foundry mission. And the Dilithium tips are nice.

Small suggestion to system from player point of view. Make system more dynamic if I already played one of TOP 3 missions it should not be showed for me again, instead next from the list should take it place. More figuratively speaking if I played most scored mission system should change displaying form missions 1-3 to 2-4. That way it will always shows something new to play.
I agree. It may be something that's actually unexpectedly difficult to do, but if not it would be an obvious improvement. That said, it's not always the same Top 3 - it selects randomly from the Top 10 or Top 50 or something for each door (can't find where it says how many!), so missions you haven't played yet should keep appearing for quite a while.
They've stated that the missions at a given system are the same for all players and update every 20 minutes. So that probably excludes the possibility of hiding missions you've already played.
I think the issue is less the system keeps selecting the same missions, and more there just aren't many missions set at any given door. Hopefully this will change as authors try to take better advantage of this system.
I think we're starting to get a sense of how few authors really set their missions out in the 'verse as opposed to in the social hubs. And keep in mind that if you have someone go talk to a guy on ESD and then enter the mission at Wolf 359, it will not show up. I imagine there are many missions like that.

And I've seen my own mission appear in the Top 3 interface, so you should be able to see your own as well.

I'm not sure if things are still happening behind the scenes and it takes a bit of time for all the missions to be processed. Or what.
I'll try republishing one of the ones that should work and see if that works.
