Tribble Maintenance and Release Notes - February 17, 2015

Tribble is being brought down for maintenance to update it to build ST.47.20150112a.32.

General:
  • Resolved an issue where “The Battle of Korfez” could not be completed if Benthans spawned in the third phase.
  • Resolved an issue where occasionally a Klingon Command Bridge Officer would not have a Command Space Skill slot when purchased through a Requisition Bridge Officer contact.
  • “Desperate Measures”
    • Resolved an issue that would block progression if the player was defeated shortly after taking the turbolift.
    • More than one team member can now use the turbolift at the same time.
    • The title of the episode when entering the first map is now correct.
  • The following Kobali costume pieces can now be used with existing Uniforms:
    • Kobali Chestgear pieces "Kobali Harness" and " Kobali Harness Tight".
    • Kobali Backpacks "Kobali Pack 1" and "Kobali Pack 2".
  • The Kobali Chestgear Harnesses no longer clip with numerous upper pieces.
  • Corrected the starship mastery ability list on the Romulan Command Warbirds.
    • Their second ability was listed as Enhanced Weapon Banks, when it should have been listed as Enhanced Singularity Circuitry.
  • Updated the UI for Bridge Officer Training to better match the style of the captain’s faction.

Systems:
  • Command Bridge Officer abilities now generate slightly more Inspiration per activation in solo and small groups and very slightly less when in a full 5 person team.
    • Non-Command Bridge Officer abilities now generate significantly more Inspiration per activation in solo and small groups and remains about the same for full 5 person teams.
  • Kobali Regenerative Circuitry Set:
    • Kobali Reactive Hull Regeneration, 2 piece bonus: This passive ability now has a base regeneration rate that is present even at 100% health.
    • Kobali Nanite Screen, 3 piece bonus: Updated this ability's tooltip to now state that there is a 120 second lockout timer.
      • There is no change to the ability here, just the tooltip.
    • Reactive Nanite Screen, 4 piece bonus: Corrected a typo in this ability's tooltip to now correctly state that it causes 20% of incoming damage as hull healing instead of 50%.
      • There is no change to the ability, just the tooltip.
  • Ambush Marker: Being under the Stealth effects of this ability no longer prevents power/weapon activation.
    • However, the Stealth will only apply to players that are not in Combat.
  • Weapons enhanced with Surgical Strikes can no longer be activated while in Enhanced Battle Cloak.

Known Issues:
  • Secondary Deflectors do not have a category in the Exchange.
  • KDF players do not appear in the scoreboard at the end of a PVP match.
  • The Captain’s chair on the bridge on the APU ship cannot be sat in.

    still no love for fxing power tray lag taking 6 or more seconds to avtivate after clicking/

    YES! Thank you! More options! Gonna have to update my Combat uniform or something with the new pack when it goes live. At least until something like the Enterprise MACO backpack or Vaadwaur backpack are available.

    A good patch overall, thank you for the surgical strikes fix, really appreciated :) Btw, any news about the UI lag problem still existing in the game?

    Are they UI lag and tray/skill/station resets not Known Issues?

    The following Kobali costume pieces can now be used with existing Uniforms:
    Kobali Chestgear pieces "Kobali Harness" and " Kobali Harness Tight".

    For both males and females I'm only seeing the Kobali Harness Tight for uniforms and off duty, and I'm only seeing Kobali Harness for the Kobali Armor outfit category. Both harnesses look identical.

    Also of note: females don't have access to the Kobali Belt either as a uniform or off duty option while males do have it (this is a third version of the belt). The Kobali Soldier and Officer belts are only available for the Kobali Armor outfit category for both genders.

    Overall I do love the outfit and look forward to pieces being fixed and appearing where they should. :)

    A response to that would be cool cryptic staff. Happens to me all the time with just about everything I do. Since the anniversary patch I get 1-3 game client crashes/hour.

    The "known issues" list is usually the stuff they are working on, so you can imagine when there will be a fix for the lags and resets....

    Hi Devs,

    Thank you for finally paying some attention to the Benthan bug in Korfez. We were just on Tribble and out of 6 attempts we weren't able to get the Benthan mission at Stage 3 however we were consistently able to get them at stage 2 where we were able to pass the mission. This wasn't easily possible for us before and therefore your change seems to be an improvement.

    There is still an issue with the clock countdown speed. I will be putting something in the Bug Section with a Youtube video shortly.

    On a different subject, when will you be attending to the issue with the Anomaly in Vicious Cycle Elite? If the fix is too detailed to perform in a reasonable amount of time, are you able to set the chance for the mission to granted to 0% until then?

    I get it even when stationary just using the doff menus! Its not as frequent as some others that have it but its usually at least once a night it happens :mad:

    So, they 'improved' the boff thing that worked just fine (compared to now) and broke it in the process, then decided to pay attention to fixing a few problems with the new content, rather than fixing the obviously broken fundamental mechanic/rolling back the change that caused it to break?

    They roll out fixes as they come

    It doesn't mean they aren't working on the UI lag issue; simply haven't found the solution yet.

    Do the kobali uniform fixes address finding some parts on nonfed characters? Any word on the kdf faction (and its allies getting the rest of the Vaadwaur items?

    The sad thing is that this is a known issue from back in the first couple weeks of the winter event. That time it actually got fixed, but I am figuring that this time they had copied some of the same code for the anniversary event and can't be bothered to fix it before the event ends because they know it should disappear when this event ends. Many of us have been reporting this issue in the forum "bugs" section and the only acknowledgement we've seen is Askray closing any new threads that get started on it. They don't care that many of us (not all) can barely do anything in the game without a crash to desktop every so often, usually associated with a map change or being in a busy environment, but sometimes like you just sitting in one spot doffing.

    I've even seen it happen when I go to switch characters and have the "gameclient.exe has stopped responding" message while on the character selection screen. I've had it happen while trying to do the omega mini-game, while doffing, while map transferring, while trying to play a mission, while trying to run a queue, and so on. I've even had it happen 4 to 5 times while trying to complete 1 run of "Dust to Dust"....because repeating that mission so many times per toon is not enough fun, let's just let you crash over and over in the process!

    I am seeing the exact same thing ... doffing, chatting, stfing, dusting, selecting character, replying to a mail or a private msg to a friend ... seemingly random, with or without user interaction, regardless of location and player status.

    Its not even triggering the cryptic crash handler ......
