Ultra Rare Modifiers on Omega Force Set missing

edited March 2015 in PC Gameplay Bug Reports
As the title already states the set misses the UR modifiers, to be precise the Shield and the Weapon do, the armor does have a mod.

The Omega Force armor in the upgrade window WITH UR mod:
11c845f.png
Would get the [Mob] mod as we see.

The Omega Force shield in the upgrade window WITHOUT UR mod:
dcvqkz.png
Should probably get something like [Ene].

The Omega Force Autocarbine already upgraded to UR WITHOUT mod:
2dij4gy.png
Probably should get a [CritX] or something like that

Also Ultra Rare gets no stat bonuses over Very Rare at all, not sure if that's a bug though. However that means that the Omega Force Autocarbine MK XIV UR I got is no bit better than a Omega Force Autocarbine MK XIV VR, which is wasting the point of the quality upgrades here.

I submitted a ticket for that, but I can't see any of my submitted tickets ingame, might be another bug.

As of today, this problem still exists. No mods on the weapon or the shield.

These need to be fixed - these are REPUTATION sets, that require a lot of effort to get and since they are only mk xii now, a metric asston of Dil and other resources to upgrade.

Yep mine are the same. Pretty pissed after spending all that money on them.

I'm starting to see something here...this issue is identical to the issue that the Chroniton Dual Beam bank is suffering. It seems that there is a locked-down mod that isn't displayed that is somehow related - in the case of the Chroniton DBB, it has a type of [Chron] or [Slow] mod that's not displayed, and the Omega Carbine doesn't have the usual AP proc, but rather a [Stn] proc that isn't displayed in the tooltip either or something, yes?

Hm, might be. But if I don't see what special stuff my weapon can do I can't use it properly. I wonder if the same might be the case for the shield.

And just because it's so much fun, the bug still persists.

Still no UR modifiers. Apart from this thread and the Ticket I now have also directly written an e-mail to the PWE support.

Some acknowledgement that they are aware of the problem and are working on it would be nice.

Only got a totally automatic and generic reply to the E-Mail, telling me that I either should submit an ingame ticket or post a thread in this forum, which I both did, but well, if people don't really read the E-Mails that's to be expected.

Yup. But I have this thread bookmarked, and I'll keep digging it out once every few days until this problem is fixed, or at least acknowledged and added to the list.

Also... as much as the bug affects the gameplay, I can hardly imagine it taking more than a few minutes to fix.
And they're not just part of any reputation set, but rather they're part of pretty much the first reputation set. I have those things since all the way back then when the Omega Force stuff was still focused on DS9.

I know right? I summited the ticket as well. Nothing, summited it on the forums. Nothing... Becoming a habbit?

Sadly, the game was heading in the wrong direction. They lost a substantial part of the player base. And consequently, if you haven't noticed, devs and producers and just about everyone has been replaced. The new team has already admitted that they "no longer fully understand how the coding works for STO." And that's a problem in and of itself. On top of that, I would expect that type of bug to be classified as minor and wouldn't expect to see a fix for it for quite a while (if ever) as I would think bugs like the tray/BOFFs/traits/DOFFs resetting is a bigger problem and they have yet to fix that. Yeah, for most it's just BOFFs resetting, for some it extends to traits and doffs and since traits can't be re-slotted in a battle map, warping into an STF and having no traits is a problem, moreover a mod from a rep set that they may just say "don't upgrade for now" but you kinda work your butt off to get the EC to buy traits and doffs and to have those reset is more than just annoying, it's nerfing players for no reason. Taking away abilities they earned went down like a TRIBBLE in church when they nerf'd the rep system traits to begin with. They should have made certain it was working properly...and absolutely never let this go passed a day, let alone a year.

Of course the game has more pressing issues at hand. But nothing should ever get so pressing they can't at least say: "Issue confirmed, we'll fix it."
Up to this day I don't see this bug on any list and no dev commented on it.

And as minor the bug is, as minor should be the time needed to fix the bug. Hell if they programmed it right it shouldn't be anymore work than searching the classes or whatever instances of those items, smack something in the UR slot and bam, fixed. If that kind of problem takes more than an hour to fix than the code could seriously need some cleanup and improvement either way.

That being said, the bug is still there.

Almost a month and a specific test later (thanks to the Omega upgrades) and I have great news, they're really just great.

THE EPIC MODIFIERS ARE ALSO MISSING FROM THE AUTOCARBINE AND THE SHIELD, DESPITE THE EPIC MODIFIERS NORMALLY BEING THE SAME AMONG THEIR RESPECTIVE TYPE OF EQUIPMENT!!! THAT MAKES FOR 4 MODIFIERS MISSING FROM 2 ITEMS of 1 SET!!!

So yeah, even if you randomly get to UR, you can't even go for the Epic mod then since you ain't getting that either.

Come on devs, this is getting ridiculous. Get this **** fixed please.

There have been a bunch of immediate bug fixes for advantages that popped up recently in the game. How about fixing the things that should be better as well some time. Like a month after they've been reported here for example.

This bug needs to be fixed, devs. It's been in-game since launch of the upgrade system and effects one of the most popular STF sets that require often times REAL MONEY to upgrade. Please address this issue.

Yup, and to top it off they now implemented the auto rifle nerf/bugfix, which really hits the Autocarbine hard without its UR and Epic mods. It's definitely way underpowered for an epic weapon now.

Anyone with tribble access know if the fix is in the new patch from today? I am hoping for [cap] on the shield and [critx] on the carbine.

2 patches on the main server later and I see no change on my weapon and shield, even after putting them into the upgrade tab. So I'll chime in with the question above, anyone with tribble access seen anything?

Im glad they are going to fix it. Now I hope they fix the accolades associated with the Omega/MACO armor and stfs too.

While I appreciate the official statement that this bug will be fixed, the statement is over 3 weeks old now. Could we get a fix for that like... this year or something?

As for the Omega/MACO accolades, I didn't even wanted to mention them, but yeah, they also need to be fixed.

Okay by now I'm getting somewhat annoyed again. I still appreciate to hear from official side that it'll be fixed, but not just is the bug in the game for like half a year or so, but that official statement is over 1 month old. If at least it'd be listed under known issues in the release notes, but that's not the case either. It genuinely feels like this issue is about to be shoved under the table again, so I'll be bringing it up again once every few days, until it gets fixed or at the very least listed under known issues.

Hold on there mate. Its allready on Tribble Test server for a few days and also on Redshirt atm so I think it will be up on Holodeck on next patch.

But its kinda dissapointing imho. At UR quality the Omega Autocarabine gets [Dmg] mod and the Omega Shields get [Ene] mod. Personally a [CritD] on weapon and a defensive mod like [Cap] or [Resx2] on shields wouldve been better, but ohh well...

Cool, thanks for the heads-up, I have no access to the Tribble server so I appreciate the feedback.

While I also dislike the [Dmg] mod I'm fine with the [Ene] mod as my shield is not used for protection itself but rather for the nice side effects. Then again I heard that the [Dmg] will be improved some, so who knows.
