I recently noticed this when loading into Sto, it still loads fine with no issues but that error keeps popping up. The link is below of the screenshot of the error, its below the image.

I am also using a Geforce GTX 550 TI and I noticed this error start appearing in the last week, coinciding with the many Crashes I am getting that are ruining my gameplay. Cryptic, I wasnt planning on buying a new vid card yet, so how bout acknowledging and looking into this?
If anybody has any success tinkering with settings or whatnot, let the rest of us know! I tried reinstalling game and rolling back drivers to no use. Only loggin in to get my free ship, fed up otherwise.
I'm having this issue ever since DR launched.
Running on an AMD 7700.
It may be affecting graphics (didn't bother looking for any, and didn't notice anything obvious), but I don't think it actually caused me any crashes...
My drivers were updated twice since launch (AMD "pushed" updates), but no change.

Running 2x 550's as well. Didn't have the DX 11 Sector Space Crash problem until DR. And didn't have the DX 9 Random Battle Anywhere In Space/Ground Crash problem until the Anniversary. It's gotten pretty ridiculous.
Patch says they're handling the loadout issue. Let's hop a fix for this snuck in there as well.

I hope my new gigabyte gtx750 2gb ddr5 edit. fixes a lot of issues and if sto is not crazy sweet looking compaired to my old inno3d 2012 edit. gt630 ill be dune with the game completly
I'm having same issue. I'm running a nvdia 550 GTX Ti. I'd like to know if it's affecting older cards or new as well. ]
I also have been getting this error for quite a long time, since DR came out I believe. And i also am running an nVidia GTX 550Ti, although it is starting to show signs of dying so I am going to have to replace it soon. The replacement will likely be a 740 as a bridge to use for a year or so until I can afford to do a complete system rebuild. Hopefully that will resolve the issue.
I went a round with tech support with it. They ended up telling me I had a unreported bug and told me to report it. And nothing has happened. I suggest all of you put in a support ticket. Don't let them run you through their script for "fixing things" It won't work, and all it will do is waste time. I tracked this bug down to the fact that somewhere there is a command that is DX9 is trying to run that it was never meant to. It is not implemented which is why you get the error pop up. This seemingly was related to the UI bug that happened shortly after DR when live. Oddly enough I found evidence on Neverwinter forums that the same thing happened to them. The only way to fix this is to use DX11. In my case it does not help since my card does not fully support DX11. But please do report it through the in game ticket system and through game support. They won't fix it if no one tells them about it.
I'd like to chime in here as Im having the same problem too since DR launched. It doesnt seem to happen in any other game. I get weird pixeliated boxes, that pop up, even on the character portraits and at certain angles.
Count me in on this one, too. I was getting the shader thing last year, but ever since the last update, the game has been crashing with a Direct3D error.
And yes, I'm another 550 Ti user. With all the TRIBBLE that's been happening to me lately, I wouldn't be able to afford a new card for at least another year...

I'm getting that too. Plus missing squares of textures on certain items. I believe the two may be connected.
