I love circular saucers and above-saucer nacelles. It looks like there's at least one each of those design elements in the Federation command ship variants.
1. Will we be seeing those more often on future ships, or is this an exception to the wedge aesthetic FED ships have been taking since the Sovereign/Intrepid/Prometheus classes?
Also,
2. Will there be ships in the future that have more than one type of hybrid bridge officer seating?
3. [Self-Redacted]
EDIT 4: Why are a full HALF of KDF c-store endgame ships (T5 & T6, 16 total with the command ships) battlecruisers? Was this intentional? Are there any plans for greater diversity in future KDF offerings?
have to say, i was just expecting another tac, eng, sci oddy c-store 3 pack, but both the ships, and the amount of customization for the ships is amazing!
Can you guys please give us an actual release date for the ships? I'm begging!
On a serious note, can't wait for the livestream.
Considering they have as of today told you pretty much everything there is to know about them and there is a patch tomorrow history should tell you they will be released tomorrow.
They will be coming out Thursday with the new patch
As well as some other info that will entice you further...
~Smirk
Does one have to be first enticed to be enticed further? Reason I asked is I haven't been enticed on anything other than realizing there are some new mechanic gimmicks that I'm not interested in.
Edit: They did a good job on the mogh and the new raptor but I just am not feeling these new ships that look like the ship most KDF players hate because its just an excuse to stop kdf development once no one buys them.

You have the choice Smirk: Either you tell me all secrets now, or I feel forced to create a few threads about you keeping secrets to yourself and not telling us.

My second concern is, once again, KDF C-Store endgame ships are disproportionately battlecruisers. T5 is 36% battle cruiser, T6 is now 80%.
well I would like to say I defiantly like the look of them all ... personally I wish it weren't so damn expensive, though it does offer more than what the dyson ships offered, so heres hoping the 12k zen will have a bonus for at least the first 3days sorta like they always have been discounting upon the new ships, packets and whatnot. well heres to a lot of new and grandeur and awesomeness in the name of science and the Federation of Planets.

:P:P:P
Wait... more threads about me hoarding secrets? Meaning you already did this??
You guys are hyping the customization this go around pretty hard. This has been the standard for some time. My question for you is this, from this point forward, are you planning to allow newer ships to use these skins/assets?
For example, let's say I REALLY like the look of this ship, but when we finally get a true Romulan Science ship (sorry, I can't even type that without laughing) will we be able to utilize the new command ships' assets on those ships? Or is this just another locked-out system similar to the way the DSD is done?
All I can say is, we are very fresh into T6 ships releases.
~Smirk
We're already at half of the number KDF T5 C-Store ships, so I'm also concerned there won't be so many more KDF T6s. Heck, we never got a T5 C-Store raptor; please pass on to the team that even though we know there won't be as many KDF ships as FED ones, to please eventually include one T6 faction ship of each type (science/support vessel, raider, destroyer, carrier, flight-deck cruiser).

Oh manfred, why do you tell on yourself?

Oh my God, (insert scary music) THE POOOOST HISTORYYYYYY muahahaha (end scary music)
Devils' invention for forums.
Btw, thanks for the additional inventory/bank slots, how about a second inventory tab? I want all the space/ground gear in one tab, and all commodities, consumables, pets, ... in the other. Just a wish.
Hopefully the devs involved in the design of the new ships will be in attendance. I really enjoyed a dev blog released around the time of the intel ships and was hoping that the artists might share some insights concerning their creative process; What were their design goals, influences/inspirations and how they feel about their creations.
Question: Are there any plans to address lack of space for all the new ships being added to the game? Charles Gray said that making new slots available for sale is difficult but there seems to be a lot of support for an alternative - "re-boxing" or reclaiming ships that we discharge (sort of mothballing them). How can we use the new ships if we're completely out of slots and can't buy any more?
Keep these ship questions coming. Remember, we will have 2 devs this round, so now is the time to ask about ships
~CaptainSmirk
- When will we be seeing fleet versions of the Delta Pack Ships?
- Will fleet variants of the delta pack ships get special "Fleet parts"(saucer, hull, nacelles)?
- Do you have plans for t6 variants of t5 3 pack ships (Bortasqu, Vesta, Dyson destroyers)? Perhaps fleet variant(s) that are discounted for having it's equivalent t5 version and maybe discounting it more if you spent an ship upgrade token on it?
- Any faction t6 raiders or carriers planned? If so any that are specialization variants?(Intel bird-of-pray Raider, Command Carrier)?
- Any Plans for a specialization shuttle(Intel, command)?
- Is your art team too busy to make a special bridge variant for Intel ships? Just use the same one for all factions like the Dyson destroyer bridges just with a different color glow lines for each faction.
I love circular saucers and above-saucer nacelles. It looks like there's at least one each of those design elements in the Federation command ship variants.
I have to say, I really do like that they've brought back the circular saucers on Federation starships at T6. (Guardian, 2 of these, Scryer kinda') That has always been one of the most pleasing to the eye aspects of Federation ship design to me, so kudos to the devs. for that. That sole fact could entice me to get these Fed triplets here and switch some of my "vedge" ships with nice round saucers. Still have to see how the ships look from the aft with this weird "double decker" design, but if it looks good I might go for them.
As for questions, my only question would be:
- What are the thoughts of the shipbuilders about letting future T6 BoPs have all universal/hybrid seating so they can use any Boff career of any specialization? This would ofcourse be offset by the weak stats on BoP making them squishiest ships in the game as well as one less Boff power like current BoPs have.

You cannot even provide a stable service, and you´re adding more code to your systems??? I would LIKE to see STABILITY in the GAME firs; I am sick and tired of disconnections, downservices, shard maintenances, and unknown issues that are ALWAYS happening. I haven´t full day without issues.
That is more important, otherwise you are doing what Chrysler does: Crappy products, but a lot of models.
So, I noticed that the design of the Geneva class is very similar to that of the Typhoon battleship. However, since the Typhoon has been my favourite Starfleet vessel in the game for some time now, I'd like to ask what the release of the command ships means for any plans you might or might not have in regards to making the Typhoon (and the Jupiter) playable.
Also, we already have Battle Cruisers and Dreadnought Cruisers as established categories for playable ships with distinct features such as certain boff slots, hangar bays and limited access to cruiser commands. Do you have any ideas how to create a battleship category of playable vessels that can stand next to the other ships in terms of build options and inherent features, such as above mentioned cruiser commands?
And, since I'm already all over the topic of NPC ships I'd also like to ask if you plan on making some of the NPC ships of the Orion, Gorn and Nausicaan factions available to players of the KDF. I believe that this would really help in filling out the roster of the KDF fleet and would provide players with meaningful choices when it comes to specialised builds. Especially the Balaur is not only a well balanced ship design but could also serve KDF players as a dedicated endgame science ship.
So, long story short:
1. Do you have any plans to make the Typhoon class available to players as a playable starship?
2. Do you have any ideas on introducing battleships with their own gameplay features as playable vessels?
3. Do you plan on making more ships from species allied to the Klingon Empire available to KDF players?
C'mon Cryptic, the Typhoon Battleship is the most aggressive and badass looking ship in the entire Starfleet. How could it not be playable!?
And don't forget about the Jupiter and the Balaur and every other awesome NPC ship that absolutely deserves to be playable!
C'mon Cryptic, we know you can do it!

Congrats to the ship team for those mindblowing ships.

Two things I want to see: Command Escorts and more selection for Romulan bridges. How can these things become a reality?
Let us upgrade the Seleya Ceremonial Lirpa and Kri'stak Blade
- When will we be seeing fleet versions of the Delta Pack Ships?
- Will fleet variants of the delta pack ships get special "Fleet parts"(saucer, hull, nacelles)?

- Is your art team too busy to make a special bridge variant for Intel ships? Just use the same one for all factions like the Dyson destroyer bridges just with a different color glow lines for each faction.
Wouldn't Typ-9 Shuttles fit perfectly to the new ship designs?
- T6 Versions of Cannon ships possible? (Sov, Galaxy Defiant. Akira ect)
- Will the Galaxy T5 ever get the T4 skins enabled on it?
- 2409 / 2410 versions of the Excelsior?
- Additional Skins for the Nebula and Oddessy?
- Fed / Kling / Rom ships from other Soft cannon souces? (Books, Comics and Games)
I have to say, I really do like that they've brought back the circular saucers on Federation starships at T6.
