None of my environmental suits work

Ok I am going to edit this bug. I found out what it is related to. I did mining on one toon and switched to an alt. The alt did not show the turn on environmental suit buttons. I checked the tray. I do see a button to toggle that tray on and off. It wasn't working at first. The bug went away when I turned it on (which didn't work) and then switched suits. So the bug is in the tray. Some times it wont let you toggle the tray on and off like it should.

Environment suits seem to need to be put on before beaming down to dilithium mining facility.

There's a workaround. If you're in the station and don't have the option to turn it on, press ESC and then ESC again. The option should be available then, worked for me and others as well, from what I heard.

There is a big delay in the appearance of the ev-suit tray since the anniversary update.
For every of my toons wherever I need to wear the suit: mining, Nukara Prime,... you name it.

    I'll try the workaround.

I think it is related to the other button delays, because I still have that too. Worst delay is in the Kobali trenches during "dust to dust", but I have it on other places as well. It's forcing me to press buttons often several times instead of one time.

The problem is increased here, because this button (to switch on the suit) delays in arriving. I dread doing ev-suit missions currently, because I'm afraid they might fail me completely.

This has been what I have been having to do myself, when I put one on, it doesn't provide any tray to activate it but, hit esc than again and voila, tray is there!

    Glad someone else noticed this!

this problem is probably related to this change:

Now clowns, that's another story. They scare the crap out of me.
We fight them too. Entire armies spilling out of Volkswagens.
We do our best to fight them off, but they keep sending them in.

@armateys: good explanation for the overall button delay, but there is missing some special information on the ev-suit tray. That tray is usually off and will or should be triggered whenever an ev-suit is worn. Partly it's explaining its hesitation to show up at all, but they added a third button (for future use - I assume) that might have an influence on its overall behaviour.

@all: The workaround with the ESC button works pretty well! Thank you for posting it.

This problem should have been fixed by now. At least it was for me and it was some time ago.

This is still a problem...a month later; but thanks for the work-a-round detailed above.
