    Forum mods are volunteers and aren't employees. They can't hire more, but I'm sure if you're willing to volunteer your free time and speak to the right people, you could be the next "super moderator"! :D

    They've got three volunteer mods...

    askray, bluegeek, midniteshadow7

    ...then there's Smirk, Trendy, and Q (who may or may not be multiple folks).

    If they had to hire mods, they'd probably just shut the forums down or end up locking the forums down so tight that almost nothing could be posted.

    Still, there was the following said back in the crafting thread at one point as it got nasty...
    This kind of behavior needs to stop now or the entire forums are going to be put into Martial Law.

    That post got deleted, but somebody had quoted part of it so it is still there...heh.

    Eh, best way to deal with the full-on trolls is to just ignore them outright, even when you want to make fun of them for their stupidity. Doubt there's anything more annoying for such an attention-seekers than to not even have their antics acknowledged and bumped.

    Whatever happened to the good old days of when people said stupid things we point and laughed at them

    This whole we need more mods so my delicate eyes can't read such nonsense....thicker skin, and a good chuckle at these people is all you need

    Which I'm sure is a sentiment many on the forums share... Funny thing is, if people were to post legitimately, rather than abusive rants, there'd be no neeed to worry about the prospect of more moderation...

    From what I understand, which I could be wrong easily, we aren't hiring atm but will be looking for more in the future.

    3 mods for a forum that gets hundreds (or thousands depending on situations) of posts a day is a bit low imo. By now, on a normal busy website you'd have at least 2 per section, monitoring at specific times. I know people don't like moderators but they are a necessary evil.

    Personally I wish there were more mods...because if there were more mods, I'd likely get less messages from mods...because the mods would have dealt with the folks before I was stupid enough to reply to them and thus get that pesky message from a mod. ;)

    I'm pretty sure I've double posted in one of the ban the person above you threads so I could suggest that I get banned. I might have even triple posted to suggest that I get banned for double posting in an attempt to suggest I should get banned. If I didn't, it's probably because I just thought of it now. :D
