Omega upgrade projects not providing an upgrade

I've just received this from a fellow fleet member concerning the Omega upgrades. And I've agreed to post it on his behalf.

Omega upgrade projects are no longer providing an upgrade. When the traces are slotted it is showing a zero percent chance for success. If you run the project it simply eats your particles without reward in the end.

I'd like to stress that I myself have run a dozen of these and not had an issue with it.
Oh, it's not broken? We can soon fix that!

It picks your worst - common (white) research lab scientist as the crafting duty officer by default, unlike most other R&D jobs where it'll pick the Best, and it'll be 100% success chance, but if you went and change that to a rare duty officer (blue), your chance drop to 0%, LOL.

But my problem is more with the inability to changed the crafting Quantity since today's patch. It was working fine last night, when I can change the quantity up to 5 (if I have enough omega particles), it changes to 5 just fine. But today, I can move the slider up and down but when I hit ok, it'll just revert back to 1 quantity like I didn't change it.

I am having this issue too. it is going to be a pain to process these particles if this is "working as intended".

Might be the reason. I've not seen this bug myself, since I've got no white duty officers left on my roster only blues and purples. But I do agree with you the slider/quantity issue needs addressing. Because crafting greens one at a time is frustrating. But that being said, at least we can still craft them albeit slowly.
