Sol system is broken and won't complete no matter how many times I try.
Cryptic (And this forum, repeatedly) have given the answer, for some reason, the particle by the Mark Valantine Memorial in The Academy (By the bay) counts as a space particle and completes that part of the mission.
Yes. It is bugged that way, but by scanning the particle by the Mark Valentine memorial by the Golden Gate Bridge on instance 8 at SFA, the Sol System space mission completes.

I'm actually caught up on that one now, the dilithium mine (ground). It looks like quite a few folks in the area are, too. I couldn't find a workaround with a Google search, which was the first thing I tried.
If anyone has any ideas, other than dropping and totally restarting it... I'm all ears.
I love how huffy people get when people ask how to finish the bugged mission, like it's all working as intended.
There's bugs they don't care about, like these, and bugs they do care about, like plasma doping.
If Cryptic starts fixing the bugs they don't care about because people complained Cryptic might fix the bugs they do care about. So the only logical course is to make everyone think bugs are WAI.

Then I guess this means I won't be getting the ship. Blechum.

The dilithium mine ground is not out on the asteroid it is the bay with ishi. hope that helps
I love how huffy people get when people ask how to finish the bugged mission, like it's all working as intended. Yes, while people have been posting the work around in the forums, that really doesn't excuse the bug to begin with. The OPs question is still valid: when is it getting fixed? Or are workarounds the new normal because there is absolutely no QA for released content.
You're right, it should be fixed, but I reckon that seeing as they already took the servers done once to fix it, they decided that the amount of ranting that would take place if they took them down again to just fix that would be more hurtful to the game than waiting till the normal downtime to fix it.
The only problem I am having with the minigame is, aside from Bajor space being hit/miss, is that when the game is supposed ot speed up (after a particle is destroyed) it jumps, forcing you to miss some of the elements.
That and no matter how I set my mouse I cant change rows quite fast enough to collect more than 1100-1500. I still dont see how others are getting 2000+, but good on em.
Same as me,to be honest all this whining is getting really boring, wish all the youngsters of this generation with their "ME ME ME" and "NOW NOW NOW" attitude would stop this nonsense.
Us the older generation remember the good ol' days of Dark Age of Camelot,EQ, Anarchy Online and Ultima Online 1&2 to name a few, this is nothing compared to those days.
Sit back, breathe, relax get a soda and chill!!
Heh if you dont remember BBS boards and the sound of a dial up modem, youre not old enough.
Yes, there are some of us that are actually older than the Internet.

Quiet zones are better for this, as the sudden lurch is either muted or non-existent. Ground especially.
A suggestion I saw in the chat yesterday I found useful, is to park your mouse cursor on the arrows, and move it just up and down the yellow line, improved my scores a touch (I've scored 2,500 thrice now, yet the perfect game still evades me (Oft times its my own damn fault for doing something stupid).

I'll give that a try, seeing as people ar ereporting more silver omegas and purple drops when you hit 2000 or so...
Of course i remember that, been here since the Commodore 64's and their awfull cassette way of loading games, used those mmo titles just so they wouldn't think i was speaking chinese, jibberish or something else hehe
Cassettes! I almost forgot about that! Before the Floppy Disc...

UO2 got axed before it left development.
UO had people macroing Bard up for dex gains and before skill locks could drop a GM's 100.0 to 99.9 just for walking by.
UO players didn't like bugs either.
Or mobs that stopped spawning because people killed them too fast for the "realistic" spawn system to allow them to repopulate, driving the UO gold piece to be worth more than an Italian Lira because you had to kill things to get gold and nothing would spawn that could drop gold.
Dig up some of the epic housing based rants.
This is my Risian Corvette. There are many like it, but this one is mine.
The Q mission is working but the mini game that supports it fails 90% of the time at least for me by only ticking two seconds off the clock and ending. Still get credit for the quest but your pretty much out of luck for getting any of those omega things together in a reasonable amount of time.
I'm still in disbelief that five days now after launch, they haven't bothered to fix this up properly. Today I got the dreaded collect a particle on Bajor and of course, it can't be done so I've lost another day in this buffy event. Just how lazy and sloppy can this company really be?
That's right. Bajor doesn't work. If you have limited time to play, you're screwed. If you can wait a few hours, you can try again when the maps reset.

It can be done, BUT you have to go to Bajor VII, which only exists in the episode 'Crack in the Mirror'.
Yep,you're right, did take me a bit longer than doing it the "normal" way but its ok,isnt a big deal or as big as some people make it to be...
Aye, and it does have the added bonus of being a private zone, which means no distractions, and no lag, so higher scores are potentially easier to get.

How predictable that Cryptic doesn't listen to its users or bother to fix anything.
Starfleet academy.
What (space)?

Bajor ground will not complete either, neither will (ground) dilithium mining asteroid.
For the ESD (Space) one, go to the Academy.
For Bajor (Ground), go into the Crack In The Mirror mission, and get to the Space part.
Haven't run into (and therefore didn't bother with a Google search) with the Dilithium Mine, though.
I went to the academy. It didn't work.

Yes I have not had any issues myself. Other than getting the mission and only 2 locations to scan show up.

Well, it works for everyone else, so either you're absolutely unique, or you are scanning the wrong Particle at the Academy.
