The Omega Particle Minigame

So i have tried alot with the new Omega Particle Minigame and for now it seems that the following happens:

1. You get a fresh spawn and a score of 2400-2600 which gets you an epic fragment (tried this an it worked 20 out of 20 times)
2. You get a fresh spawn and a score of 2400-2600 and somebody just begins before you finish = white particle of the spawn color (happend about 100-200 times)
3. You are playing at a spawn where somebody else plays ... the score doesnt matter cause most likely you get what they were playing

If you pm the guy/girl who was playing right before you (better if there are only 2 people) and ask which score they did then you might see that you got what he/she was scoring.

I asked about 25 people right after their game and everybody seems to only got a white one with me getting low scores around 600 with green/blues and even an epic 1 time.

My conclusion is that this game is score based like all other mini games in sto. There is no random drop after the game only the game itself cant differ who is playing at the moment and gives the loot to the person who got lucky to start it at the right time.

I can confirm this, I observed exactly same behavior.

I can manage to do 2600 almost every time, but I get epic particle very rarely. Almost always I get white one.

As of today there seems to be another problem with this: A LOT of the attempts I've done at getting particles, the minigame ends after 5 seconds and I can't get more than 50 pts. This happens even when there's no one else near the particle, and the particle is still sitting there, only it won't let me interact with it again.

I have not been able to replicate the results in the first post, it seems to be a tiny little bit of skill and a huge amount of luck that decides what I get:
    2500 - Sliver
    2600 - Shard
    2500 - Fragment
    2600 - Trace
    2500 - Shard
    2600 - Trace
    2500 - Sliver
    2500 - Sliver
    2400 - Trace
    2000 - Trace
    2500 - Fragment
    2500 - Sliver
    2600 - Trace

All of these were done in the Vlugta mining station, and for none of them there was anyone else at the particle I stabilized, not before, not while and not after.
Notice how out of 3 perfect scores I get traces on 2 of them? Come on that's just outrageous. I mean a certain element of luck is one thing, but if luck is so important you can even get the worst thing with the best score, there's something seriously messed up.

Also thanks to the bugs I occasionally started games and just left them to finish on their own, and every time I just got a trace, suggesting that you would not get stuff based on other peoples scores. Still, this really needs to see some fixing and adjusting.

Yes, that's a well-known bug but it's not what this thread is about, so please no hijacking.
Post about the Bajor problem here: http://sto-forum.perfectworld.com/showthread.php?t=1359741
There are dozens of replies already, but apparently not enough for the devs to finally fix it, so your post will be just right there.

Back to Topic: The thread could have a somewhat clearer name. Also what the OP described seems to be an Off-by-one-error, that might or might not have been fixed. Either way, the rewards are still ridiculously random which is just very annoying.

It is amazing to me that anyone can even get scores like this ... I can't get a score higher than 550 regardless of what I do ....:confused:
