Hello All PvP'ers left.....Ive been away a while....and when I thought about re-installing the game on my PC i looked at the news page and seen this ship.
I won't post info, we all know by now. This is the most stupidly Overpowered (and intended to be OP) Ship I've ever seen. Same argument can be made for the bugship I agree. But this is the most obvious CASH COW I've ever seen in this game.....
Whats a matter cryptic? Player numbers dropped? Not as many of us PvP'ers spending money any more? I wonder why....?
Sorry but I wont be reinstalling this "Game", its now gone to Silly Developers designing Silly Ships and Copy and pasting point and click missions with some Voice acting from some of our Favourite Star Trek Characters (I actually liked the voice acting).
Not to mention a guy that doesnt even know how to play the game running the "Twitch community Broadcasts" - Guy doesnt even know what Tac Team does...and hes moderating the forums, closing relevant threads and banning members that have been here a dam sight longer than him and actually know what they're talking about....Poor Riccardo, a long time STO member and avid PvP'er who looks into new items and design and test them out...gets his threads closed when he tries to state the OBVIOUS TRUTH!...ohh and now Hes BANNED FROM THE FORUMS......Are We in China? or Russia? - Cencorship maybe?
Look around cryptic...at all the forum signatures, at all the complaints.....DR is a PR disaster...and optimistically looking this game will be Dead or being sold off by 2017 So I'd dtart getting your Resumes Ready!

That was the first huge lockbox hit... people spent over $300 trying to get one before realizing just how bad the odds were.
I wonder just how much money they made off of the Bug.

eh. It may simply be on-par, or slightly better (as most box ships are usually slightly better when released). Have you test driven the faeht warbird? Yea, it "only" has 4 weapons up front but I am only half decent, really, and I can crit over 50k on a beam hit with surgical strikes. And I can slot 2 surgicals on it, granted one is "lesser" but .. my glass cannon build has 2 Ep2W, 2 pattern betas, OSS driving my power thru the roof, amped (with oss, not quite without), pedal to the metal running a slow as molasses impulse engine (my speed is 15 in combat, a little over 20 if my engine power spikes), throw in alpha strike and boosts from my active officers... SRO seating (BRO on the intel tac white quality). I could probably seat a turbulence in there as well, but ATM I did not put it in. This is just a non-fleet c-store buy... and it melts DR mobs the way a scimitar melted mobs PRE DR, and again, I am not a top pilot, just a mid level player who has too many alts to focus on making one uber. Its so powerful its boring... but it does make farming for spec tree points a lot faster and easier... :P
and that toon is one I made after DR hit, just a total do-over restart char. It lacks... a lot of things that older toons have.
There's more balance to be found in a 2 legged cat....
And yes I was one of those idiots that spent $300 trying to get a bug ship...then got 3 in my last 3 packs....I've learnt my lesson, expensive one I admit....
Edit: Ohh and hi wastee! you can always find me on TS over the weekend! Playing war thunder and such

i try to avoid any 3rd party programm if i can get ingame without. though i'm on steam and will hit u up. but actually the only game i play per steam is simcity 4 nowadays (playin here means *watching my city grow and enjoy the soundtrack*
You know they are just using me to TRIBBLE the rest of the pvpers off into quitting. Think about it less pvp related tickets to read through, claim it is being submitted to the dev team, then totally discarded without consideration.
Yes and i do feel your pain on one thing. There are times I am playing this game and literally feel like I am an old man. I can't honestly believe a game had the ability to burn someone out on such a large scale.

BUT, I want to say something, now that i stopped playing PvP:
In retrospect:
PvP had this treatment for 2-3 years now, almost 0 patching, 0 caring and yet:
Players bought Bugs, temporal ships, Voth ships and Recluses in masses and fleet PUG stomped and laughed down on those PUG noobs that used regular ships.
Yes, I'm pointing that out, because this kind of mass leavings and riots could easily have been when Bug, Wells and other p2w crutch came out, with every lockbox, with every promotion.
Yeah, that imbalance which is now T6:T5 was always there, lobi2win users just never were on the other side of the stick.

Made me smile for once, the "I understand why" alone makes it the best act of moderation ever, way better than cold and distant dev messages or Smirk's horrific sense of humor of yesterday. Bluegeek's probably the only moderator I can respect right now.
You know what made that even more funny?
Even later after it's introduction, I remember people opening Dominion Lockboxes expecting to get the JHAS. And I recall some ranting a lot that all they got were several JHEC's and not the JHAS they wanted

people still play this game props to the hardcore pvp people , for me this game died like a year ago

It comes to me every time i play new featured episode, especially since DR.
Seeing new episode on Kobali Prime, my away team landing in the night. Rain. Explosions and distant fights, Vaadwaur troops landing all around me. Graphic, sound, Atmosphere 10/10.
Then a mission that involves puzzles instead of mindless scanning.
And i stop and I think. They can make ground PvP like no other, space PvP we all would love.
Potential is there, that is what is bothering me.
If i saw, there is nothing there i would have stayed away last time i have gone.

Yes I flew a bug. But you do not need to ask everyone else in this forum I was much more than that. You judge me by signature yet again sir. My bug got retired a long time ago and I flew the fleet patrol escort refit. But everyone here knows me for my sci captains and eng healers just as much as my tac ships / bugs. And even in the bug I always sought out the biggest challeneges and usually 1v1 bugships exclusively and fought to better myself and others if they asked for help. Was I the best and OP...no not at all, I often got my TRIBBLE handed to my by better players like hank, hannibal, Mr X, Toothless, Master Yoda and I got my share of wins too....need I go on.
You do not know me well enough to make the assumptions you have above just by looking at my sig. To deny what happened to PVP over the last year with power changes and mechanics is simply cryptic propaganda. But your entitled to your opinion and so am I, no matter how wrong or right we may be.
Fact of the matter is cryptic has totally lost site of what the original vision of this game was. They have been blinded by the cash cow opportunities and to hell with the rest of us. That new ship embodies their new philosophy.
I too love Trek, I even got the voyager box set for christmas and Watch it to go to sleep to...lol (yes im that sad) I am my child will have a Trek / Sci-Fi upbringing....poor kid...lol but it sickens and depresses me to play this game any longer, even just logging in and looking at what the costs are these days....you can no longer call this game Free to Play...its work for free!

its strange how pve heroes still QQ about bugs .They should get a bug against my bug ...i want to see their "op'ness" .
you know the nOOblets when they start b1tch1n about bugs which were a tad better than fleet patrol ,even though there were tons of other ships out there easier to play with ,ships that got better results against bugs.
