I was thinking of buying a lifetime sub and wile looking thru the perks and advantages I started to wonder if the rewards let's say the android Boff can you have it only on one toon or can you have one per toon you have? So what I'm saying is could you have it as a cleanable item per toon or is it that you can only have one per account? I might be wording this wrong but I'm sure someone will understand what I'm trying to say.

You can claim one per toon , but each toon can have only one .
However you might want to give the game a try for free before you go lifetime , as you can play all the content for free .
The android bridge officer comes in male and female, all three main professions (Tac/Eng/Sci), can be claimed on every character on the account, and is reclaimable if you dismiss it (say you picked an eng at first but changed your mind and wanted a sci).

one per toon... can dismiss and get again.
but android is not worth it. no space traits... ok for ground thou if your into that.
i have life but bought it over a year ago... well before DR. but I sure as heck wouldnt buy it now unless you really plan to stay the long haul to make it worth while for the 500 zen a month stipend.
sub for a month to get the shared account and ec unlock... plan your skill build ahead of time so no need to respec. the free ship isnt worth it... only T5U. same as the free event ships of old, new event ships are T6.

Thanks for the support! But I have been playing this game for awhile. I have two fed one VA and the other FA as well as a KDF and Rom toon aNd I've had a subscription on this game to. I think it's just my lack of using the forms that makes me look like a noobie. :P
Personally, I'd wait for a sale. A hundred bucks is a hundred bucks. That's alot of extra money.
That said, to answer your question, almost everything is account wide. The only exception I can think of is the Starship Upgrade token. You get that one once per account. It is given in a box that is account bind to the first character to log in once you are lifetime, but once you open it - the token itself is character bound. SO - make sure it is sitting on the toon you want it on before opening it.
Some advice before you make your purchase; if you are a hardcore gamer, and see yourself sticking at this for at least two years, all whilst playing multiple characters then it may benefit you. If however you aren't likely to play with many characters at all, or do not look to this game as a long term investment, I would strongly advise against the purchase.
Short of multiple pets, some questionable (yet unique) faction-specific veteran ships and the odd other bits and pieces, the only thing that a lifetime membership truly has going for it is the multiple bank holdings you get (for each character), and the raise of EC cap.
Whatever your decision, I wish you the best, but if you're going to go lifetime and purchase, wait for a sale. In my opinion, the lifetime membership for STO isn't worth full price, not anymore.
Edit: Alternatively, you can get a temporary gold membership for a month, which will grant you a bunch of things (depending on how long you've played). I think these still sell?
Lifetime subscription? You want to reward Cryptic for turning the game into a relentless grind, nerfing-nerfing-nerfing, systematically and methodically removing all fun from the game, adamantly refusing to fix a swarm of bugs, and doubling down on dil sinks and blaming the players for their errors?
Don't do it! Not even once! Not until there is at least a hint of a sniff of a trace of quality control.
Seriously, I am almost beginning to wonder if this is some sort of twisted experiment to check the playerbase's tolerance for abuse and stupidity.
Have you considered the possibility that the OP might actually enjoy the game?
It is onle an endless grind, if you want the best of the best ships and gearon every toon, which is not a requirement to play the game.
Please keep this thread civil - We'd rather not have to moderate replies or close the thread.
If you disagree with getting a lifetime subscription or what others have put please state the reasons why and do not just be abusive!
You want an honest opinion, Lifetime is like paying for BUPA Healthcare over NHS.
There are certainly some surface benefits but ultimately nothing that is completely unavailable to everyone else. I mean one of the original BIG draws was the Borg Bridge Officer and Playable Character ... today this is what 600 Zen? And to be perfectly honest outside of the Star Trek Nostalgia goggles the ability the Borg has is absolutely garbage, as it's a pathetic stun ability that lasts for less time than a sneeze.
So really you're getting a Human with a worthless (ground) ability that can have metal on their face.
The Chimera, Avenger and Nebula are decent enough as 'free' Ships; but the thing is the Lifetime Subscription versions are actually the WORST versions out of the C-Store and Fleet versions. So as you can just buy better versions for less ... then you have to question the point.
Really this is what it all comes down to as well.
Without Subscriptions anymore, what real value does Lifetime provide? Well outside of the Legacy of Romulus (which is more of a Mega Ship Bundle) there really isn't any. The Stipend is absolutely pathetic, because you can earn nearly 3x as much Dilithium : Zen in-game as a free player... and the Stipend is half of what the Sub cost to begin with. With Cryptic ever increasing the prices and relying more on bundle packs over individual sales, well this greatly lessens the value.
You don't even get full Inventory, Character, etc... rather you get a few more over Freemium players, you STILL have to buy up to the max (which is another 12x 300 Zen)
Even back at launch I thought it was questionable to place so much faith in Cryptic; but naivety about them won out. Sure I guess long-term it has paid for itself and become justifiable value, but I STILL wouldn't call Lifetime GOOD value; and frankly at this point I wouldn't trust Cryptic even remotely.
They claimed Lifetime would be 'limited' and 'one time' deal, which clearly it hasn't been.
All they promised about the game simply hasn't happened; all we've got is World of ******** "Star Trek" Edition with lower production values and a company that still acts like they are just as awesome as Blizzard so you will mindlessly purchase anything they release.
(Yeah can't say I'm surprised to hear they've been haemorrhaging money for the past 18 months)
Of course all of this is moot and value is entirely up to you; but honestly Lifetime is terrible value for money and all of the best aspects of it are on the C-Store for far less bought individually. So you might as well just do that.
If I had the money, I'd quite possibly go lifetime, though regardless of the state of the game (I thoroughly enjoy it Thank-You-Very-Much), I'm still not sure as to whether its really worth it. A single month gives you permanent boosts to your account, whilst the lifetime... Well... Your Money May Vary.

The original poster can do whatever he wishes with his own money, even at the behest of NOT following your instructions.
OP, get the Lifetime Subscription, it's worth it, you get Liberated Borg captains as well as Talaxian captains, you can't get these anywhere else, they're LTS exclusive. I have the LTS and I bought it back in 2013, and I don't regret it at all. Since you've already subscribed at one time, just go ahead and go Lifetime.
I have enjoyed my perks of being a LTS, I wish i did it earlier but that's my own damn fault. If you were to decide to get it, i would wait until it drops on sale again to $200, for $300 the price is a bit much for what you get but $200 becomes a debatable purchase. I got a lot of mileage out of the veteran ship before i decided to go T6 i still use it on a few of my toons and it works out well. As far as the stipend its a nice bonus to have especially when saving for when i got my T6 it helped me get it a bit faster and the bonus skill point buff doesn't hurt either especially now. A big draw for me is the android officer, because of TNG it was like a must to have on my crew.
As others have said getting a subscription for a month could get your a lot of benefits of the LTS like opening up slots on your account but all the matter if you see a bunch of stuff that interests you.
A lifetime sub is worth it if you think you'll be playing the game for a long while and it'll actually not destroy itself with content changes that have bad choices in their design. So far for me it's been worth it especially with the 500z a month. Your millage will vary obviously, DR has some elements that make me wonder about the design. Hopefully they change those elements I really don't care for especially if they want me to put extra cash down for zen and things.
Remember, you also get all the Vet rewards instantly, that includes the vet ship in the 3 faction variations, and the free T5u token.
As others have said, the "worth" is subjective. If you see yourself playing this game for years (as I have, and never looked back), then yes it's worth it.
EDIT: I would also wait for a sale, as its bound to happen with the anni. Don't pay full price, its $100 you don't need to spend.
Again, my advice: Don't buy anything related to STO or Cryptic - you simply gonna regret it!
You seem to know what people are going to regret, but what you don't realize is that what you think isn't necessarily going to be what other people think. You can say that they'll regret it all you want, but the opposite can happen as well.
If you reward people for doing substandard work, they will continue to do substandard work and expect rewards for it. That's the real issue, the petulant misdirection trolling of some aside.
If you buy a lifetime sub, then every time you have your trays cleared, every time a mission fails due to a bug, every time your dilithium disappears, every time you are weary from relentless grinds, every time you have to click a tray ability 5 times to get it to actually do something, every time you can't login or get disconnected just remember who rewarded Cryptic for all that joy.
You have a problem with the game, that's perfectly clear, but what you don't understand (which is also perfectly clear) is that other people don't play this game to satisfy someone else's notion of fun or enjoyment. The OP can get the LTS, and if he does, it's not up to you to make that decision for him. Saying that this game is substandard and so on is purely only your opinion, which isn't a fact by the way. Good thing I don't take what other people say (people like you) seriously. The OP should take what you say with a huge grain of salt.
I bought a lifetime sub when it was on sale about.... six months ago perhaps?
I don't regret it for a second. The instant 'veteran' rewards and LTS specific perks are cool and quite useful. The android boff works well on the ground and since I do space and ground stuff equally it works out fine for me.
Sure the opposite can happen as well, but what you don't realize is that what I think is just a reflection of what 99% (or even 100%) of persons on my friendlist are thinking aswell. That's reason enough to presume that most other persons out there are feeling and thinking the same way.
Let me make this very clear: I DO believe that the people that still like this game are a minority (maybe about 5%). The rest (95%) was either quitting the game some time ago or is heavily disliking the current game and it's course.
Fine, believe that all you want, but what your friend list states isn't representative of the whole player base, so that thing can be discarded out of hand.
Let me make this very clear: I DO believe that the people that still like this game are a minority (maybe about 5%). The rest (95%) was either quitting the game some time ago or is heavily disliking the current game and it's course.
You might want to look up confirmation bias sometime, you seem to be suffering from it.
*I* almost bought an LTS during the sale just before DR, but then I decided to wait and see how the whole T5-U and T6 business would turn out.
*I* do not like how they've handled it. *I* will not be spending any money on ships until they make it clear that either T7 is not just around the corner with T8,9,10, ... just behind it or they start making the upgrades apply to the entire class of ships and not just a single variant.
*I* will make it known why I am not spending money. How others choose to use theirs is up to them. *I* would like it if enough people pressured Cryptic into making sure we don't end up renting our ships month to month, obsoleting them as fast as dragon killing armor in other dragon killing games but I won't demand it of others.
This is my Risian Corvette. There are many like it, but this one is mine.
