Duty Officers won't assign to active Space Duty

I have two purple duty officers that I've been trying to activate, one is an engineer the other a diplomat and neither will activate. I select them and move them to active space and get the prompt that this will bind them to me, I hit OK and then nothing happens. No error, no note, and they remain in my inactive list.
It's only these two doffs that seem to have the issue! I've tried adding them first, with no other doffs active (neither space nor ground) in case some odd conflict exists but still, neither will add. I have screenshots of both which I submitted to the GM's but they have no asked me to bug report it (which I did last week) and also mentioned to come here to the forum to raise awareness.
Any input on this?

That was it. I picked these guys up after returning to the game from a LONG hiatus, and assumed duty officers on the exchange for Romulans would only show as similar faction. There's 2 million I'll never get back.
Damn. Anything I can do with these two? Thanks for the catch fatman592, I find it excellent that you caught that, while the GM's I sent pictures to did not.
In the future, when buying boffs or doffs on the exchange, use the "show only usable items" at the bottom of the exchange UI. It'll filter boffs/doffs by faction for you.
