So since DR the optionals are not optional anymore and if you fail them, you fail the whole mission. THats not logical but also not the point
The problem is that there are some issues with Advanced STFs:
In Khitomer ins stasis we failed the Optional and recieved the versy small pack of marks. But the mission didn´t end. We still had the other timer saying that we had several minutes to finish the mission. So we finished it, destroyed the IMRs, killed Tosk but got no additional rewards and got the message that we would get a 1 hour penalty if we left even there was nothing more to do.
In Infected: Manus (ground) i once joined a mission that already had failed but according to the Timer we still had 14 minutes to finish the Mission. But after about 6 Minutes the mission ended and we got the countdown to leave the Map
Another time in Manus we also failed but could still play for several minutes until the countdown appeared.
So there is something wrong with the Advanced missions or the optionals.

Oh and it would be great to see some trigger lines in the "Manus" mission so there is at least a chance to win the mission and stop all those (can´t post that word here) to run into the next room, get killed and allow the Crewmember to be assimilated

Well, you are supposed to get the appropriate mission cooldown even if you fail it (since one of the whole point of making advanced stf harder is to make the optionals non-optional) - so one of the bugs is a display bug - the optional should not be listed as optional but as a required completion. Because really, your team ought to be penalized if you can't get yourselves together enough to complete the optional on those borg STFs (For Korfez and Viscous Cycle, the maps themselves are bugged so that optionals can sometimes really be non-completable).
Anyway, because you are getting the correct cooldown set in either case I'm not sure there is a real functional difference between getting the leaver penalty and having the map end normally (where you get 300 seconds before it boots you) on a failure condition, even if the map-not-ending is technically a bug.

Advanced is a mess.
They should be restored them to pre-DR to please the crowd, and roll out Elite queues for the Elite minority.
They weren't perfect before, but the current conditions certainly aren't pleasing the masses. Better to go back to where you had some success and come up with a new plan, than to leave them in their current pitiful state.
It's completely baffling to me why Elite players are concerned about the advanced queues and why they aren't pressuring Cryptic to create the true elite queues.
It's also a mystery why Cryptic is so reluctant to take steps to keep the players happy.
