I just returned after taking more than a few months off to find that my joystick no longer works. Anyone else having this issue?

I have seen post that there was joystick issues in the past. I have not seen anything current.

1. I looked and I did not see this reported
2. I work and I do not have hours to pour through hundreds of threads to see if someone reported this months ago. So save the hate post for another day.

i'm on and xbone controller for ground and it works fine. Oddly enough though, when I use it to steer in space the ship doesn't yaw when turning. Did you run through the options for the game as well as the controller? Sometimes, i've had issues with the devices not being picked up by a program if it was double clicked before plugging it in. It could just be a simple issue, but good luck with it regardless.

I have not had time to come back to the thread but I found a workaround

I went to the keybinding and selected 2nd control and bound my joystick controls to the keys.

Most people know how to do this but I did not. So for the people like me who does not know everything here is what to do.

Options then controls (I think, memory is a bit foggy these days):P

Go to Keybonds, Key Binds or something like that.

You will see a list of mapped keys. There is a second row under each control. Go to that second row and click your mouse button. A window will open asking you to hit a key. You can actually move your joystick or click a button on it instead of a keyboard key. This will map your joystick control to that particular key. Remember to do this under the 2nd row so you can still use your keyboard if you like.

    Thanks everyone

Hope they fix the joystick issue soon but this should work for most if not all people.

I think they will fix this in a future patch like last few times it happened. But XBox is suppose to always work. If not you should be able to go to the key bindings and map the A and D controls under the second row.

XBone :D I don't know why I find that so funny but I never get tired of seeing it. Makes me laugh every time. They should put it in the dictionary.:o
