Lost several high value items.

I fly an Elachi Sheshar,

I am now missing several items that would be on the ship.

All weapons (Omni's ultra rare beams etc), deflector, shield, engine and one console (Engg) and newly purchased Mark XIV Anti-proton beam array( Ultra rare)

Aegis Set, Solanae shield, Jem'hadr sets are all missing from my inventory/ or ship.

I am missing close to 50K dilithium, 9 million EC on my player account, close to 66 million EC from my account bank.

I am missing 4500+ Zen.

Several Rare items (weapons, torpedoes) have all gone missing from my account bank and my player account.

I am posting a picture of how my ship looks right now...

When I click the loadout button ( i get to see them all greyed!)

Please help!!

I do not see any overflow bag, nor does logging in and out work. I have some how managed to recover my warp reactor ( Obisek)....it just appeared...but everything else is still missing.

check your shuttle. Any gear used on both sometimes migrates.
you may also try loading your current loadout, sometimes it can summon the gear back from the ether.

    Hi,

My shuttle gear is as it was.

When I hit the loadout button. I get most of my things back (but they are grey)...when I hover over them it says they are in use on another ship...

I am wondering where the Zen, Dilithium and credits have disappeared to...

I will check my other ships...

UPDATE: All my other ships are just as they were before.

It is possible you got TRIBBLE if all your money and zen are gone.

Missed that first time ... if zen and dil etc are missing, I agree, odds are you were TRIBBLE.

Have you ever shared your account details with some one? And did you and the person had some sort of beef with each other lately?

Nope, I have never really talked to anyone alot in the game nor have I shared any details..

More over why would the hacker take the weapons and shields, they woulndt sell for much nor could he use them,...he couldnt use them and leave the consoles ? He took the Jem'hadar set (those things you can even get by yourself in game).

Is there a place I get submit a ticket ?

It doesn't matter. A hacker will sell EVERYTHING he can, makes the maximum money, and give it to another account. Even a few credit is still money to be done.

I'd say it's a hack. Perhaps your password was easy to crack.

Just to be on the safe side, feel free to check the game files integrity (launchers option). I read someone who did that and had his items back (I suppose they weren't gone, it was just a bug). But I wouldn't hold my breath.

As for ticket, you can make one from your account. It will take long for them to answer however.

I hope so but tbh I don't think anyone but support can answer this for you.

most modern MMO hacks come from being infected by a keylogger or falling prey to a scammer. The scammer would send an email telling you to change your password (or something else that "requires" you to "log in") by clicking HERE ... where you happily go to a look-alike page, enter your "old password" and bam... they now have it...

check your machine for keyloggers and viruses. And if you recently clicked on a link in any emails related to STO (or other cryptic games?) ... lesson learned: game companies do NOT contact you this way nor direct you to do account things via links --- ever.

You can also (easily!) get taken by using someone else's PC or worse, a public PC, or possibly, insecure wireless connections (wireless is still poorish for games anyway, too much erratic lag and drop outs for most home systems and even many commercial ones). Used your laptop at a wireless cafe? ETC? That includes logging into this forum from a remote pc ... the account info is the same...

I am generally careful about these things, but have done the necessary things now.

I submitted a ticket and was contacted by support. I am hoping they can help me soon!

Thank you all for your help and advice!

    Cheers,

Yeah, similar thing happened to me yesterday but only one of my 4 AP DHC's has gone (same as you, say's its equipped on a different ship but it's not, it's not in my bank or account bank or on any of my other characters [account bound]). Nowt else is gone.

    Submitted a ticket, myself.

Really weird, i had the same thing happen to me 2 days ago, a single spiral wave disruptor beam array vanished. I tried everything i could to get it back, no luck. Also sent a ticket and support was useless said they couldn't return the beam to me or give me the dilithium cost for a new one. WTF?

It's like 43k dil for a single spiral wave beam, thats a lot of "time" or "money" to go missing suddenly in this game. It needs to be looked into. Definitely not a hack because nothing else is missing, just that one beam and it happened during a load-out swap.

It's kinda hard to hack an STO account since you have to authorize the hackers PC to login into the target account via the hackee's e-mail account. Then the hacker will have to go back to the hackee's email and delete the authorization request from PWE. So not only would the hacker need the games login credentials, but also the account holders email credentials.

Someone with direct access to the OP's PC could be the culprit tho.

My bet's on the loadout system randomly throwing items into the void. I never use that nasty thing. Hopefully you'll manage to get the items back.

That is true to access the credit card info and actual account settings. It is NOT true for just tapping into the game client. I can log into the game, apparently, from any machine that has the client, at least its worked at other places for me easily many times. Which means that if I stole your login info, say you had 1100 zen on your account. I could buy 10 keys, sell them for whatever (25 mil?) and then list a piece of junk for 25 mil on another account, and buy it from your toon, and log out. As a simple example.
