But if they gave you the best stuff for free, how do you expect them to make money? :P

Me, buying a gun off of fleet, doesent make them money ;)

    My current weapon:
Elite fleet Phaser Full Auto Rifle Mk XIV [dmg]x2 [dot3] [Sheal]
    ....
    vs

Vaadwuar Pulswave Pistol Mk XIII [critD]x2

first does 241,1 DPS ... and latter does 94.1 dps ....

uhm, righ, im SO gonna switch weapon, because its the latest in the game,..... nothing, in any description, tells me this reward, is better than my current one :S

Repel... yeah, means loads of exposure... but still :-/

Well first off, full auto rifles are bugged and doing more DPS than they should. The devs acknowledged this and are going to fix it at some point.

Secondly, I'm pretty sure that the full auto rifle cost you dilithium, which can be gotten from zen, which costs money. Or at the very least, building up your fleet to the point where you could buy the full auto rifle cost either you or one of your fleet members money in some way, shape, or form.

So yes, even if you didn't spend money on it directly, someone payed for it with money indirectly. :D

The rewards were slightly better for the first week or 2, with purple beams and something else good that's not there anymore. Now it is all blue. However there are a couple upgrade kits, and most importantly for me The Doctor!
Also the very last mission gives a kit module that I've seen a number of people using in bug hunt elite.

A set would have been nice. For me anyway The Doctor was worth the price of admission.

The game has become full on Pay to Win as of DR. Either you shell out a few thousand US dollars or you cannot compete.

Yes it does make them money. What do you need to buy a weapon from a fleet (yours, or guest-fleet)? It takes dillitium to get a tier of starbase/spire/whatever to unlock the weapon. It takes dilli to buy the weapon itself. And many poeple exchange zen to dilli, because they have not time, or simply don´t want to grind it. And thats the point PWE got money. Not from you, but indirectly from someone, because you are buying a fleet-weapon.

hehe, he wrote "Compete" .. not "complete" :)

And, it IS certainly completable... i enjoy the game overall.... but some aspects, are really out of proportion :-/

Wow. Cryptic sure did a circle jerk kick to the nuts to the casuals all around that didn't burn their way to the level cap the first week like the hardcores did.

Dont you even know how to use Exploit and Expose combo. Ground DPS is tied to that for a long time using the ground traits for it.

Full Auto rifle is a lazy players ideal weapon since you only fire with primary.

The difference is Exploit and Expose combo has more damage potential while a Full auto file fired on primary has a fixed dps which cannot go over exploit and expose combo.

On an exploit and expose combo you are barely using the primary which makes a full auto rifle not ideal if your aiming for optimal dps.

So essential in the ground the highest dps potential is the one with the highest secondary.

I got all my Elite Fleet guns by grinding out the Dilithium. Didn't spend any real money of any kind to get them. Then again I'm one of those mutants who is actually patient enough to go the slow route.

Right the kit module, same counts for the [Rebreather] thingy obtained there for Rhi Elite PvE for non Romulan toons which didn’t have access to them before. ;)

The Doc doff is indeed a fair reward for free but same counts for the potato head bridge officer from the mission "Alliances". Free Pirate/Efficient space trait especially cool fed players. :)
