Creating threads or posts that question or reference administrative decisions or potential administrative decisions, such as post removals and thread closures, is not permitted.
Okay, I will not argue that point. However, I respect the mods here but I need to ask, how were either of the sig threads in violation? Can you link a specific example from the forum rules which specifies "Signatures will not contain graphic or profane imagery or text, or suggests that anything Cryptic does isn't great"?
In fact, can you link the entire forum rules? I can't seem to find them and, to be honest, they really should be immediately available for every user. Maybe I just cant see them
Nowhere in here does it suggest or infer that users can not create a thread to show off signatures. Nor does it suggest that signatures can not be in relation to disagreement or disappointment in the game. If such a rule exists Id like to see it please.
We have the right to express ourselves in non-inflammatory and non-profane means any time we wish. If the DOOOM thread can be allowed to continue despite the obvious and continued violations for which other threads have been closed, then I simply have one request in regards to the rules. Good for one, good for all.
*** Therefore I demand you either CLOSE the DOOM thread and any like it or allow the signature threads to continue as long as there are no profane images or text in accordance with the forum rules. Some will not like this. Thats life. But to be blunt, the mods can not swing a bat around freely and not hit everyone without giuving the impresison of favortism or personal grudge.
I am sure this thread will be closed I fully expect that. However, I also fully expect you to read this post in its entirety and respond via PM as, one would hope, you see this not as a rant but the genuine request for clarification and equality that it is.
The forums are a lot like my place of employment in that there are different rules dependent on who you are, and how high up the management ladder you are. The sooner people realize that, the better, cause I can tell you now (from past experience) you'll be lucky to evade a warning here, maybe even a temporary forum ban - don't worry, you'll still be able to play/grind the game in the meantime.
Don't bother. They closed a thread that was discussing a point brought up in another thread that was closed -- and not why the thread was closed, and cited "don't talk about what's in other threads"
Can you believe that? You can't talk about what's in other threads. You can't reply to existing threads on existing topics (even if they are still technically open). In short, it's a big F.U. from the small group of mods that said (in their own words) don't post anything, ever, if it doesn't praise Cryptic.
Meanwhile, all the fanboi gushing goes unmoderated.
Let's keep it nice, folks. I happen to know for a fact that BG is rational and communicative if approached respectfully.
I am not suggesting the rules dont apply. I am merely asking to see the rules which are being applied.
I've been in his shoes - as a lead moderator on another forum I had to apply rules, close threads and even ban accounts. However, I always - ALWAYS - tried to be as clear as possible on the rules being applied and my interpretation of them.
What the **** is wrong with you people who keep using TRIBBLE's and North Korean images etc thinking its either funny or clever its not its just plain stupid! and immature.....
and no arguing back to this being OK is not needed take your actions for what they are irresponsible and incredibly wrong in every sense of the word.
I am sorry but I find all these images and words offensive.
If this was a board that wanted to crack down hard on any questioning of those in charge, this forum would be dead
There is so much negativity and criticizing on this board, it's one of the most negative places I've come across
They let **** roll all the time
Just cuz they shut down yer thread, don't question why they are what they are not... totally restrictinig any negativity towards Cryptic and PWE and the game itself
When one is upset that they're being compared to tyrants, the absolute best way to prove your critics right is to force them to shut up.
Cryptic's world, Cryptic's rules; but they ate absolutely validating the most "off the rails" dissenters with their actions. I absolutely understand the need for some order, but the balance is out of line. If I were a mod here I would resign before enforcing the rules as they have been enforced.

I have dissected the forum rules and extracted the bits that are relevant to the closing of the sig threads. Please condenser the following:
Spamming
You may not create posts which contain:
Excessive communications of the same phrase, similar phrases, or gibberish.
Numbering of a thread, IBTL, TLDR, etc.
Bumping threads.
Creation of First! posts.
Creation of petitions.
Posting of off-topic comments, including but not limited to comments or discussions of a religious, or political nature.
Posts and/or private messages that, in any manner whether directly or indirectly, contain links to threads from other forums in the PWE network may be subject to an infraction. (Cross Linking)
Advertisements that have not been authorized by PWE.
Posting to an old thread which has not been posted to in 30 days or more.
Creating Duplicate Threads (A Duplicate Thread is defined as a thread which discusses the same topic as another thread, which has had a new post within the last 30 days.)
As this is an English-speaking community, all postings must be in English, so that they can be well received and properly monitored. Posting in other languages is not allowed, except in Forums designated specifically as non-English forums.
None of these apply to the Sig threads. Moving on
Signature/Avatar Rule Violation
Signatures are limited to five lines of text, including blank lines, and/or an image. The total signature size must be no larger than 500x150 pixels and 195.3Kb in size if it contains an image. Images must be in .jpg format. The text in the signature may be customized by the BBCode in use on the forums. It is recommended that you stick with readable fonts and colors and that the size is not too large. You may mention websites and ventures that you are in some way related to, as long as they are otherwise appropriate for the community. Avatars are limited to 80x80 pixels, or 19.6 KB (whichever is smaller). No Animated images will be allowed. Strong political and religious sentiments should be kept out of profiles, signatures, and other content in this community. Failure to adhere to these rules will result in an infraction, and the removal of the offending signature or avatar.
None of the sigs violated this rule.
Obscene/Vulgar/Inappropriate Objectionable Material
You may not create posts which contain language, comments, references, links, symbols, terms and/or imagery about and/or promote and/or otherwise support, in any manner whether directly or indirectly, obscene, vulgar, inappropriate and/or otherwise objectionable material or, that allude to, contain language, comments, references, links, symbols, terms and/or imagery about and/or promote and/or otherwise support, in any manner whether directly or indirectly, pornography and/or extreme violence or sexual acts.
Again, no violations in either thread.
Hate Speech
You may not create posts and/or private messages that allude to, contain language, comments, references, links, symbols, terms and/or imagery about and/or promote and/or otherwise support, in any manner whether directly or indirectly, hatred, discrimination and/or denigrations based on or related to race, ethnicity, religion, sect, color, national origin, age, gender, familial status, sexual orientation, disability status, veteran status, genetic information, etc.
Unless sarcasm is considered hate speech, there are no violations.
Whenever you are participating in this community, please keep in mind that we strive to create a fun, friendly and inviting atmosphere. We hope you have fun and enjoy the PWE Community!
Open for interpretation, I guess.
So once again I am left with the question: what rules, exactly, did either thread violate to warrant closure?
Bluegeek is one of the mods that I have grown to trust and like, hell I even follow him on Twatter.
I find that he is pretty fair and even handed. If the thread has been closed then I can only conclude that the decision has been made elsewhere that DRsig threads are not welcome and that BG has, regardless of personal opinion, done what has been asked.
As a mod BG can express his opinion, which he has numerous times, even if it doesn't toe the corporate line. He does however have a responsibility as a forum mod to "moderate". The thread is closed and I for one hold no umbrage with BG or the way in which these forums are administrated.
Personally I hope that everyone that has something to say gets the chance, in one way or another...

Closed. Not going to waste my time debating with certain people.

You're assuming Bluegeek is from the US? And calling him a TRIBBLE?
I find that offensive.
Also: Goodwins law

Not sure where you came up with that. The rules exist in America and if BlueGeek is making up his own rules.....

Ditto that, and Bravo!
