After Today's Arc Update loading the game through Arc causes a Near Immediate Crash

Arc performed an update earlier today for me (12/10) ... I'm online most weekdays so this isn't an 'old' update; it must have been rolled out either today or yesterday evening.

Since the update, if I try to start STO from Arc, it crashes.

Specifically...

I select "Play" for STO (I get the same result detailed below regardless of if I use the "Last Played" copy or the one from my master list of games).

It brings up the launcher, auto logs me in. I hit "Engage".

The Cryptic Loading screen comes up. The progress bar ticks once or twice (maybe 1% or 2% progress), and I get a "GameClient has stopped working" error message and then a "Windows is trying to find a solution to this problem" window as I get dumped back to the desktop.

Tried a restart of my computer - no effect.

I still have the pre-Arc launcher. I am able to run the game through it without any problems at all; loads and runs normally.

OS is Windows Vista, 32-bit (yeah, I know), but I'm not experienced with bug reports; I'll try to provide whatever information is asked for to help, but I don't even know what would be "standard" diagnostics to run and report here.

EDIT: Tried something I should have tried earlier ... try Arc again after successful login and play session with the pre-Arc launcher worked. Loaded through Arc successfully (as though whatever Arc couldn't handle, the older launcher fixed and now even Arc loads the game fine - so far). I apologize for wasting people's time here.

    I haven't been able to succesfully load the game for several days now. The following happens everytime.

    1. I log onto Arc normally.
    2. I select Star trek Online and press Play.
    3. It loads the launcher and patches automatically (I have set the programme to always patch before playing)
    4. It finishes patching and I press Engage.
    5. The Cryptic loading screen comes on and disappears after a few seconds.
    6. My screen displays a message reading: 'Oops, Cryptic has crashed' with error ticket ID 36579535.

    Submitting the error ticket did not yield any results, but I am not sure if submitting it was supposed to fix it. I am not what you would call tech savvy...

    My operating system is Window 7 (64-bit). Each time all other programmes were closed and my security software is up to date.

    I had the same problem yesterday. But, after restarting my computer and verifying files, I had no more problems. Hope it gets better for you soon.

    I have already verified my files several times and it did not help.

    I am glad it worked for you, though.
