Before leaving today that match you lost some good stuff, including Rylana's MVAE obliterating that weird guy's Contortrix like a charm, epic.
Yeah I was gonna say... against an equally skilled pilot I would have been rekt. But against him? lol
The actual reason I hunted him down was when he came in and spoiled our little side by side respawn session.

Err it's not really. I have one with the MVAM module, too skimpy with boff layout, light on heals, useless ensign tac.

Its a very flexible ship, just dont expect to run aux2hax with it. If anything that is the only reason people use the more engy heavy layouts nowadays. Ive always had a soft spot for CommTac/LtComm Sci. Makes for a crossover tankscort style build thats a lot more survivable than people counted on. Its how I held up against Nando for so long in that match, power healing/resists through the roof.
I do, however, wish the MVAE had the same boff layout as its warbird counterpart, the Dhelan, with a Lt Universal instead of Lt Tac. THAT can run Aux to Hax. The Dhelan also happens to be my favorite ship in the game (use it on several chars, all of which are tournament PvP builds, or will be once everything is upgraded back to par)

No it is actually currently only 83 million btw. I bought some very rare mk 14 dual heavies, ultra rare mk 14 consoles NOT spire, a few space lockbox traits and a mk 12 aegis set mostly to make the grind a bit easier. This is nowhere near space pvp ready. I sure as hell wouldn't buy dual heavies with dmg crtd and crth for pvp. I mean give me a break here. I am not a Romulan so I don't have any superior ops boffs. I start out with 7.5 base crit chance.
If I chose to fully build another space toon trust me you people will know about it. But I don't think I want to spend months grinding to basically troll other people that are less geared. Unless you think quality matches with solid team play are coming back? As it is now all I see is a bunch of post f2pers who think this game's skill level is solely determined in 1 on 1 play.
part of why im not even bothering to grind levels, with my mk12 weapons it takes considerably longer to blow through patrols. upgrading will have to come first, if i even feel inclined to cash in again.
apparently 2 systems guys quit right after DR, but one of them started a big thread about an everything rebalance, and finally doing something with worthless skills. borticus who is left said they still want to do it eventually. so, there is actually hope things could get better eventually. they cant get worse, you could technically make it worse but it wouldn't change how rock bottom it currently is.
Its more or less the idea of motivation to do so. By my estimates I do enough enough dilthium for fleet and rep gear for the builds but I might be lacking about 300 million roughly for the energy credit factor of the build. But by the time I finish intel and pilot I should have enough. In reality the keys to the grind is to have my weapons pretty much epiced out at level 50 so the grind starts hard and fast but that will be tough since I will have to grind for deft cannoner and in turn need that to craft my own mk 2 antiproton crtd 3's so I can build all my weapons myself . That seems to be the way to go since acc is attainable through many sources now. I am trying to steer clear of using t6 shios or intel powers. I think the best option is to just make the toon now get it to lt cmdr to unlock crafting and then just stop leveling the toon there and just craft him.
That's the whole problem it doesn't translate at all. I am not saying skill is totally out of the equation today but it is by far outweighed by gear in virtually every class you play. You could take era's healer excelsior and throw that exact build into today's game and he would get ripped apart over and over.
Pre season 2 IDK I wasn't around from what I am told vm was seriously busted. I think the fact that I started playing in season 2 before tt was fixed gave me a good head start on my learning curve. try flying without any tt today unless you are totally shield capped and have regen and heals through the roof.

Never once said I was the absolute best but in terms of my team contributions in pvp back in the day I had not seen any escorts do what I did for the team. And I speak in terms of tough matches not 5 man premade stomps (see TSI). An yes there were times I logged from such matches due to idiot premades that only like to stomp random pugs in protest. If they wanted to kill me they must earn it in the proper setting.
