I'm only close to having a 60 (through a combination of doffing and events, stopped doing missions a couple of levels ago) and I'm pretty much doing the same thing.
Log in, do the race while the two minutes of no doffing ticks away, click completes, take care of R+D, start new doff missions, then repeat on just two other captains the rest having been shelved due to upgrade costs and hassle.
This is my Risian Corvette. There are many like it, but this one is mine.
60+? is there more levels that I dont know about?
The specialization points are effectively another 50 levels. 158,000 skill points each - and they aren't optional as some people keep saying. You have to have 22 specialization points in the Intelligence Specialization to be able to train an Intel Bridge Officer in advanced skills.

Oh ok. I know about the specialisation pojnts, but never heard it being called 60+. Keeping with Cryptics methods maybe we should call it 60-U
I'm using every variation of Federation T-6 ship I have, to max All the Ship Mastery's on my Engineer.
Then when I've done them all, I'll go back to the one I liked the best and continue the Level 60 & Beyond grind, to max out the New Specializations.
(before anymore hit)
So far, I like the Eclipse the best for my ENG and the Dauntless the least.

Basically STO is now the equivalent of one of those annoying facebook games.
This is how I feel about it ATM.
After I get my breen carrier, I will play around with it for a bit and see how long that holds me over. I might get bored again before I fully level it though.

I still have 3 ships that I haven't even bothered to level up yet. Meh.
Same here really. I log in, do the race on 3 characters, start Doff missions and then go & do something else.

This does ring bells right now, because in all honesty there's nothing there that really constitutes fun now, I'm just holding out for when something finally gets sorted, because it doesn't help when getting something to start in game is now near impossible due to lack of players.
Ten soldiers wisely led will beat a hundred without a head. - Euripides
I no longer do any Bug Hunting work for Cryptic. I may resume if a serious attempt to fix the game is made.
I'm currently doing the winter event. It is, for the most part, is still fun to me - or at least the acquisition of new random winter trinkets is somewhat interesting. Other then that I'm finishing up a ground set on an alt and doffing. Once the winter event is over I'll probably just log in to doff and log out. Their is no new content in DR worth replaying. The R&D system is too expensive, the reward nerfs and empty queues exasperating that problem, and skill point acquisition is long and boring considering the areas that yield enough to make it a worthwhile endeavor.
I enjoy the elite bug hunts i'll be doing those............I would love to get the starship back into space but...............
Jellico....Engineer ground.....Da'val Romulan space Sci
Saphire.. Science ground......Ko'el Romulan space Tac

JJ-Verse will never be Canon or considered Lore...It will always be JJ-Verse
I'm going to leave the game for a while after WW ends and maybe drop in for the anniversary to see what's on offer.
If nothing takes my fancy then i'll just sit it out a bit longer and hope things improve.
I'll stay on the forums as there's always some entertainment to be had on here.:D
Done literally everything to do on my main-est of characters short of logging in to re-roll the last 5 R&D schools from 15 to 20.
QWW doffing on 8 characters
R&D to 20 on 3 more characters (13-16 currently) and 15 on the other 4 (they're at 13-15)
Casually grind dil/marks/xp on 3 characters
Long term goal after R&D is done fully on whichever characters finish first;
Craft items for myself/sell (all to prosper in the future rather than wait for the stuff to hit then grind). Doff for supplies and resources too I guess...
Notice I haven't really covered actual playing the game :P. I will do elites as they pop up but it seems only certain ones are ever active. No rush to grind to mk14 epic as a result. Lot of new games and old ones too I want to play so literally I'[m looking at scaling down my STO play to maintainence only and a few runs for resources. Someone made the comment of STO being like a facebook game, they're not that far off really I used to play a webbased clicking game via fb and recently decided I was doing all the farming and no actual attacking whilst barely keeping my rank so I took myself out. I've already cut back from 8 to 4 characters in STO and now moving from 4 to 1 then the other 3 will take their sweet time.
What happens to change that depends on Cryptic but really I'm playing a 1 character game with 3 farmer first, main second and 4 more farmers of other professions if I need them. Maybe they'll make things like spec tree alt friendly, maybe they'll make it worse (don't know how but I trust Cryptic to do what they do best). I suppose it also depends on the community if the queues stay dead I'm grinding only to satisfy the latest requirements to further grind.
There is still lots of things to do after the winter event. My main focus will be the development of the fleet.
I have found that by organising fleet events, treasure hunts, tournaments, PvP and various others we get a sustained amount of players. To be honest I have read all the doom threads and have posted on a few others but my fleet has remained active, yes there are some players that haven't logged in for a while but that is the norm for them.
I still have 3 ships that I haven't even bothered to level up yet. Meh.
Yeah I am only leveling a few ships and not with any sense of hurry. In fact, I only upgraded one ship and it and my breen ships are the only ones that have been leveled, I don't have a T6 (until the breen carrier that is).
i'll probably go back to playing nothing but foundry missions, since it's the only remaining part of the game where it's still possible to explore and encounter the unknown.
Plenty of things to still do, even if the main problem now is the inadequacy of my mk xii purple/rep/fleet gear in advanced PUGS, especially as it seems at least 1 team member doesn't read the mission objectives, ignores all team dynamics, and is oblivious to any friendly team chat hails.
Organized fleet events resolves the team aspect, but not many online at any one time, or too busy solo grinding the delta dilithium/XP sinks which I am guilty of doing as well.
Some not-so-fun 'to-do's:'
More dilithium grind to save:
- in case a new C-store T6 ship appeals to me - like the Pathfinder did - a carrier, or rom carrier or sci ship would be great
- T6F whenever they come out
- ponder the mk xii upgrade costs to purple mk14 across my main fed & rom-fed - as much as I'd like to still boycott this ULTRA-CHEAP numbers-purchasing merry-go-round
- try to get some free gear for my KDF alts if I ever get around to them, or just shelve all alts for good
Some fun 'to-do's:'
- fly some of the ships I've not even stepped foot in
- screenshots - the one thing you get to keep - unless cryptic decides to release a single-player version of STO when the game is no longer online, say to make room for a STO2, which would be most welcome
- play some campaign missions I've not done yet at harder difficulties or using inferior ship loadouts
- try more PvP or vPvP with fleet and friends
- role-play
- ...as someone said, forums, the new end-game mini-game
- quit, or play minimally, in favor or other games, or shelve gaming altogether to make time for more productive and worthwhile things
Devs: Provide the option to Turn OFF full screen flashes from enemy ship explosions

I'll go back to playing Desert Strike on StarCraft II until Legacy of the Void comes out. Or until the anniversary event. If I even bother. Might grind until all my gear is mk XIV gold. Or not. Honestly I might actually try studying for once XD
It is said the best weapon is one that is never fired. I disagree. The best weapon is one you only have to fire... once.
I will do at level 60 the same things I did for 4.5 years at level 50.
But, but, but...there's even more to do at 60 than there was at 50 for all that time!
Not joking in the least...sure, some of it is stuff that folks would rather not have to do but it's hard not to view those as folks just not wanting to have anything to do, and in the end the stuff to do wouldn't affect them not having to do anything.

If by more you mean more stupid and pointless system patrols that are annoying and often too time consuming for the paltry rewards they give, then yes, I agree.

Different people enjoy doing different things.
I enjoy logging in and blowing stuff up while flying a starship. So I don't see the problem in the same way. Sure, I wish there were a greater variety of patrols that provided that experience - but I'm flying a starship and blowing TRIBBLE up...wheeeee!
Somebody that wants to play the game for other reasons might not find that as enjoyable.

Well, I suppose my point was that I will just keep playing in various ways to entertain myself. When I do not feel entertained I will take a break. When I was feeling bored with the level 50 grinds I took a break. When I feel bored with the level 60 grinds I take a break.
I have never been of the mindset that a person should only play 1 game, or only watch 1 TV show, or only read 1 author, or only listen to 1 musician, etc. I fully believe that variety is the spice of life and that no singular experience can be the only thing I will ever need to be happy.
I do not expect STO to be the only thing that can keep me entertained 3 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. I would say the same thing if I were only allowed to watch Star Trek episodes 3 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year.
STO is about my Liberated Borg Federation Captain with his Breen 1st Officer, Jem'Hadar Tactical Officer, Liberated Borg Engineering Officer, Android Ops Officer, Photonic Science Officer, Gorn Science Officer, and Reman Medical Officer jumping into their Jem'Hadar Carrier and flying off to do missions for the new Romulan Empire. But for some players allowing a T5 Connie to be used breaks the canon in the game.
I can tell you the answer for anyone who isn't here just for the forums or in-game socializing. The answer: the same thing you were doing before. That's right. There is no endgame, there is no pot of gold at the end of the rainbow, you do the grind so you can do the same grind again with different numbers.

Refers to the "Specialization Points" you can still collect after Lvl (60) I believe.

Thanks for this. More entertaining than any of the sigs and even better because I'm assuming it was delivered spontaneously.
