"Critics who say that the optimistic utopia Star Trek depicted is now outmoded forget the cultural context that gave birth to it: Star Trek was not a manifestation of optimism when optimism was easy. Star Trek declared a hope for a future that nobody stuck in the present could believe in. For all our struggles today, we haven’t outgrown the need for stories like Star Trek. We need tales of optimism, of heroes, of courage and goodness now as much as we’ve ever needed them." -Thomas Marrone
I suspect he dismissed an officer. I've noticed that the list of boffs can bug out and fail to display an extant officer when a change to the roster is made. Fix: change maps.
What this means though is that Tovan is just hiding. :P
Bipedal mammal and senior Foundry author.
Notable missions: Apex [AEI], Gemini [SSF], Trident [AEI], Evolution's Smile [SSF], Transcendence
Looking for something new to play? I've started building Foundry missions again in visual novel form!

I discharged the 1st ship and he was gone... must of stayed on board too bad he found his way back.
I mean gone gone... you can click on the entire roster and he was not there and could not slot a tactical bridge officer at all.
I am sure the game "should" allow you to dismiss him... won't break the game but would break immersion. Since he would still be talking to you even if not in cut scenes.... oh like that doesnt happen during other cut scenes with npcs not shown/invis. or would still appear in cut scenes but not be in group... like I would really mind that?
A normie goes "Oh, what's this?"
An otaku goes "UwU, what's this?"
A furry goes "OwO, what's this?"
A werewolf goes "Awoo, what's this?"
"It's nothing personal, I just don't feel like I've gotten to know a person until I've sniffed their crotch." "We said 'no' to Mr. Curiosity. We're not home. Curiosity is not welcome, it is not to be invited in. Curiosity...is bad. It gets you in trouble, it gets you killed, and more importantly...it makes you poor!"
Passion and Serenity are one.
I gain power by understanding both.
In the chaos of their battle, I bring order.
I am a shadow, darkness born from light.
The Force is united within me.

You have Just won the internet for life!
If you did manage to accomplish this though, don't share the secret on the forums or the tovan fan club will tattle on it as a bug report to "Fix" it

OH! Interesting. But wait, don't a ton of cut scenes involve said missing element?
If it's photoshop, I will be sad. :P
This character is why I don't play my Romulan any more. Tovan Khev is NOT my BFF! Get him off my bridge!
